Hi everyone! Small changes can make a huge difference to your overall calorie intake. Don’t waste your calories on junk! Make choices that you enjoy, don’t deprive yourself and look for balance! We need protein, we need fat and we need carbs. It’s up to you to take a good hard look at what you eat and decide. What stays and what goes… most of the time! Thanks for watching ❤

@@13ritneyanne I’m more along the lines of - your can’t diet the weight off with bland low calorie foods you don’t like, then go back to eating burger king and pizza for every meal at maintenance. You have to enjoy what you eat
@@paladindanse98 yes absolutely! I used to think eating healthy was just bland chicken, veggies and fruit. Now I've learned now to deprive myself of the stuff I enjoy, I just eat it in moderation. Such a great video! As a mum of young kids, I’d love to see a video about how you managed to stay fit and healthy while your three kids were little. How did you balance work, motherhood, working out, eating healthily etc. ? You’re an inspiration to me!
Hi Katherine, thanks so much for your comment! I’ll put my thinking cap on as to how I could structure a video about all that. It was a crazy time indeed!😂😘
This was an excellent reminder Nancy that no one looks like you on accident! But it doesn’t need to be deprivation either. It’s mindful eating, and mindful stopping, which I sometimes struggle with. I love all the healthy things and don’t eat junk. It’s the consistency of choosing correctly every day. Thank you for sharing your practices!
Thanks to you, I drastically changed my lifestyle and understood the importance of small, accumulative changes. You, as a woman, became a role model for me as a man.
What a wonderful compliment, thank you! It’s the small changes that can really add up,you’re so right. Getting rid of the things that can continually sabotage us and eating balanced meals that we love, is the way to go! ❤
THIS! "You can have anything, but not EVERYthing." This is the mindset of success, rather than restriction. It is this weird scarcity mindset that gets people, but they can always get the next thing they want the next day if they really want it! Some days I crave more fat, others I crave more carbs, so I adjust macros so my calories remain pretty much the same. When people combine carbs and fat with abandon for a sustained period of time, they unravel all of their precious hard work. It's not worth it! Just enjoy each day for what it brings, and whatever you sacrfice today, you can eat another time :)
“You can always get the next thing you want the next day.” Great mindset. If you just permit yourself to eat whatever you want, it is easier to say no, almost like a reverse psychology. I can eat that, but I’ll wait until tomorrow to decide if I really want it. And then it’s easier to just keep the good track record going!

Love the video. I lost 50 lbs in 2016 and I’ve only maintained it because I know I have an addiction to carbs and sugar. I focus a lot of my meals around protein, and I really don’t eat sugar much anymore at all. I love High Protein salads and I eat a lot of yogurt also with some nuts or berries. I also I intermittent fast and that’s a huge saving Grace for me. It takes the food out of my brain. Someone asked me a couple years ago how I’ve maintained my weight loss and I said “it’s easier to not eat a donut than do 1 hour workout” 😂 I still walk and do some kettlebell workouts but it’s mostly my food choices that have kept me at this weight .
I relate to your practices so much! It’s also easier to say no to a donut I don’t feel like eating when you aren’t addicted to sugar anymore and say yes to something you really want occasionally. Great job on the weight loss AND maintenance!

I'm not as slim as Momma Tenny but I am helped by understanding that diet & moving your butt reinforce each other. Avoiding cheap sugary stuff is easier when you realize those who make & sell it usually don't care about your health. Also, it doesn't taste as good as better options. Crappy sweets prey on our laziness.

My husband barely eats. I eat quite a bit. But he is overweight, and I am not. The difference? Liquid calories. He drinks sweet tea and sugar filled coffee all day long. I drink water.
Thanks for sharing that Jen! Good insight. I don’t know where you’re from but in Canada the big coffee chain is Tim Hortons. The most popular coffee is a “double double” double cream and double sugar. It’s about 270 Val’s and 24g of sugar and people are drinking multiple of these daily and haven’t eaten a bite yet! 🤔

Hi Meena, it’s a Ninja Flip up. It’s great in so many ways but it’s brutal to clean! I just can’t get all the staining out and now that I’ve redone my kitchen, I don’t want it on the counter! I’ve moved it to the basement kitchenette for now and I’m looking for something else. But it certainly does the job!😘
Thank you mama Tenny, for sharing, everything you said and do is right! I've turned vegan not cause I wanted to, but because i had too! Health reasons, but i really do love it! Different but, somewhat the same. But yes ma'am cico all day everyday, thank you ma! 😊👍
🙏🙏🙏 Perfect advice. For me i cut out all starches (bread, potatoes, rice, pasta), and eat fattier meats+fruit+veg....just what i like, and it fits my calories
Hey! Quick question. I am on a strict budget, so I tend to buy canned tuna and chicken. This typically goes on salads with mayo. You mentioned mayo probably is not a good option. Do you have any suggestions for non-mayo tuna salad/chicken salad for house/kale salads?
I would say track your cals and if the you really enjoy the mayo and it fits into your calorie goal without you feeling really hungry at the end of the day, you should be able to keep it
Hi Jackie, thanks for your comment! I also eat lots of tinned tuna and I really like using low cal bottled dressings that you can find for around 30-40 cals/ 2 tbsp. Ranch, poppyseed and Greek are all really good. You can also use 0% greek yogurt that you thin down with lemon juice and then add some spices like cumin or one of the blended spice mixes like “garlic plus” or Parmesan herb. Tzatziki is a great option too! Instead of making the tuna or chicken into a salad and putting a scoop on top of your greens, sprinkle the protein on top and then drizzle the dressing over it all. That way you won’t be tempted to add more dressing onto the dry greens. Like Autumn said, you can certainly have mayo if you LOVE it and are very diligent in measuring. It is extremely calorie dense and 1 tablespoon is not very much!! I’m happy I don’t like it! Thank you Julie for suggesting Jackie watch my mayo video!🥰 All the best!❤️
Hi Mama Tenny, There is so much conversation regarding full-fat and non-fat. As for Greek yogurt, which is better? The full fat seems to keep you full longer but is it worth the extra calories? Great video. It's the truth, we sometimes hear too many ideas. 💕💕
Hi! Always lovely to have you here. For me, I typically have my Greek yogurt for breakfast with flax seeds and chia seeds and nuts along with fruit. These 3 things add about 10g of fat so I don’t need the fuller fat version. True, on its own, the fattier one fills you up more but I don’t need to double up. Then, if doing salad dressing, for example, I’ll often add a bit of olive oil so I don’t need the extra fat there either. I’d rather go with the zero% and then add my fat of choice. 😊
@@MamaTennyThank you so much for your time and knowledge. I eat my yogurt the same as fruit, seeds, and nuts. It's such a fine line sometimes that we walk and it can cause confusion. I'll go back to the "old way" and save the calories for something else. lol. Getting ready for a cruise next month so that will be a true test. 💖
I don't need potatoes because I don't know how many calories are in a potato 😆 I use a measuring scale I only use the grams because I don't understand the other measurements But every time I Google "how many calories are in X grams of potatoes" it always gives me a bunch of different answers and I don't know which one to choose 🤣 But other than my potato drama very very good advice 🌷🙏🏻 hopefully more dietary advice help and tips to come 😄

I don’t understand how some of you beautiful, slim ladies my age only weigh 110 lbs. I’m only 5’2” and can’t seem to get under 120 lbs and I can only eat 1,100 calories per day to maintain that. What am I doing wrong? When I go onto a BMI calculator to see how many calories I should be eating to lose weight, it’s almost always 1,100 or less. It’s so hard to get enough protein much less have enough energy to complete my weight or cardio workouts. Help!!😥🥵
@@MamaTennyI’m so jealous! I watch every morsel that goes into my mouth and count every calorie but cannot get below 118 lbs. (I can’t eat over 1,000 calories or I gain weight. 62 yo 5’2” hypothyroidism). I get in at least 10,000 steps or Day and moderate weight lifting 4 days per week. Any help pleeeezzzz? Love your videos and appreciate you so much! God bless!❣️
Yes, but use your calories wisely! Get rid of the a”hidden” calories that really add up. Don’t butter your toast if you’re then putting on peanut butter or almond butter. Love toast? You’ve got to forget the potatoes on that day. Maybe the next time you’d rather have the potatoes? Then ditch the bread. Swap things that are alike (starch for a starch) making your choices on a meal by meal basis. One day you want avocado on your toast, the next peanut butter. Always keeps a good ratio of protein-fat-carb. ❤❤
Great video, but genetics also play a role In weight maintenance? I have family members that at the age of 12 did not have the body you had at 20. So I suppose their physique and maintainable weight would differ drastically to yours?
Hi Ronnie-Lynn! I can’t speak to her specifically, but sometimes it’s the family’s eating choices that are as much to blame. My family ate horribly! Butter on EVERYTHING, processed foods, low fiber, high fat, lots of sweets. That lifestyle is extremely hard to break if that’s what you’re exposed to from childhood. It’s what’s normal to you. So, is it genetics or is it diet or is it a combination? Bottom line still CICO! Thanks so much for your comment!❤️
Peanut butter! I love all nut butters but especially peanut or almond butter. When I was little, my mum put regular butter on first and then the peanut butter on top! Like why? They are both fully fat at about 9-10g per tablespoon. 🥜❤️

Thank you so much, I appreciate you watching and commenting!😘
Which brand of air fryer is yours?
Way to go Rocky! You’ve found what works for you and stuck to it and now you love it!👏🏼👏🏼❤
Great tips Mama Tenny♥️💕♥️
Thank you Evelyn, I’m so happy you enjoyed it!❤️😘
Mama Tenny,
Since you often entertain and I need ideas... I would love to see your creativity in putting together a healthy hummus board.
What a fantastic idea!!! Thank you! 👩🏼🍳❤
Thank you , very informative. You look amazing !!!!😘
Thanks Richard, you too!😂❤
🙏🙏🙏 Perfect advice.
For me i cut out all starches (bread, potatoes, rice, pasta), and eat fattier meats+fruit+veg....just what i like, and it fits my calories
CICO and it’s working for you! 🙌🏼 ❤️👍🏼
Great content! Great video! Thank you for this! xoxoxoxo

Hey! Quick question. I am on a strict budget, so I tend to buy canned tuna and chicken. This typically goes on salads with mayo. You mentioned mayo probably is not a good option. Do you have any suggestions for non-mayo tuna salad/chicken salad for house/kale salads?
I would say track your cals and if the you really enjoy the mayo and it fits into your calorie goal without you feeling really hungry at the end of the day, you should be able to keep it
She has done an interesting video about Mayo well worth watching
@@juliepitchford7324 Oh I didn't know that, will check it out!
@@autumnh5027 Thanks Autumn for the advice, yeah I am trying to keep within the macros and calories, and it fits into it !
Thank you Julie for suggesting Jackie watch my mayo video!🥰
All the best!❤️
Very informative 👍👍👍 thank you so much !
My pleasure! Thanks Rocky 😍
I love you Mamma Tenny. And will fun videos wid informasjon. 🎉😊
Thank you so much!💕
I’m a long distance runner so I tend to eat more carbs then presented here and am healthy so I would say this is all highly individualized
Absolutely!!! And a good point to make. Everyone’s needs are different. Tailor your diet to you. Thanks! 😘
Thanks Mama Tenny ❤🎉😊
Hi there, great to see you! 😘💋
Hi!! May I ask how tall you are ? Thank you
Hi Gabby! I’m 5’5” (165cm)😘
@@MamaTenny Thank you!!
I can’t believe the guacamole is the same calories as an entire medium avocado 😮 Great tips!
clever,and gorgeous!!!!
I knew mama tenny was always a cutie!
😘😘😘
I don't need potatoes because I don't know how many calories are in a potato 😆 I use a measuring scale I only use the grams because I don't understand the other measurements
But every time I Google "how many calories are in X grams of potatoes" it always gives me a bunch of different answers and I don't know which one to choose 🤣
But other than my potato drama very very good advice 🌷🙏🏻 hopefully more dietary advice help and tips to come 😄
Bloody potatoes, who knew they could be so disruptive!😂 You’ve got a great attitude, that will always serve you well 😘❤️
@@MamaTenny 🤣 LOL thank you 🌹♥️🌹 I'm taking a break from trying to figure out potatoes I've moved on to Winter squash but eventually I'll come back to try and solve the potato puzzles 😄🙏🏻
For the algorithm ❤️
I don’t understand how some of you beautiful, slim ladies my age only weigh 110 lbs. I’m only 5’2” and can’t seem to get under 120 lbs and I can only eat 1,100 calories per day to maintain that. What am I doing wrong? When I go onto a BMI calculator to see how many calories I should be eating to lose weight, it’s almost always 1,100 or less. It’s so hard to get enough protein much less have enough energy to complete my weight or cardio workouts. Help!!😥🥵
I use protein powder in my coffee instead of cream.
I’ve heard of that quite a bit lately!
This was an excellent video. Love seeing what you eat. Do you mind revealing your height and weight?
Hi Louise, thank you! I’m 5’5” (165cm) and 110lbs
So all it is is calories in vs out, even though the quality of food matters.
I am
Still learning to maintain weight for a lifetime
You have great habits Priscilla, I see your meal choices!!👍🏼👏🏼
Enjoyed the video very much. Thank you. Can I also add that you are so beautiful ❤ best wishes 😊
Thank you so much Adrianna!😚
❤
All this video made me want is guacamole 😅
Eat up!😂🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑 Thx for watching!💚
did you say you eat 15 or 50 g of fat a day?
That was a definite 50 Amber! 15 is just ridiculous 😩
What? No donuts? 😂
I’ll leave those for Will! 🍩🍩🍩😂
What is that fat you love with the toast?
Peanut butter! I love all nut butters but especially peanut or almond butter. When I was little, my mum put regular butter on first and then the peanut butter on top! Like why? They are both fully fat at about 9-10g per tablespoon. 🥜❤️
90% of people on ozempic will regain
450 calories of fat or less that's definitely more than 15g of fat haha. 15g of fat is only 135 calories!
Hi Chris, I thought I said 50grams!! That would be 450 cals. I can’t call that a typo, can I? 😂 Nice to know you’re listening!😘
@@MamaTenny HA! i was gonna say, 50g sounds right 😎😅
You eat so much too! Girl after my own heart🫶🏼 what about pregnancy weight gain and loss? For me and my body that’s a HUGE thing😅
I gained 35lbs each with the girls and 42 with Will!! I hear you. 😂
@@MamaTenny yes ok! That’s so relatable! Willy was a big boy🤣🤣🤣
I lose it everytime just like my Mama did but damn🤰💪
It takes 8 weeks to get a new habit, and 8 days to lose it 🥲
Sucks doesn’t it 😂 You got this, after the 8th day, try again xo 🙌🏼❤
