Bachmann class 37 running session.

- It’s easy to forget about some of these older Bachmann models, with all the latest releases coming on to the market.
37688 “Kingmoor Depot” was the first loco acquired when I switched from N gauge some years back, yes it might have its flaws, but it’s definitely still a favourite here.
Along with 37402 which has received weathering recently I think these model still look good.
688 has a simple TTS sound decoder fitted & is coupled to an iPhone speaker, it’s up there with the noisiest locos on the layout!
I hope you enjoy this brief running session in the early evening gloom from a couple of nights back.

I’m up to 6 Accurascale & 2 Bachmann at the moment, so I must like them!
The layout is far from finished, the southern end is still completely bare, but I’ve decided to try & finish a few other jobs at the the other end first before getting stuck in. Like most people I’m quite keen to keep starting new projects & not finished what I’ve started😄

Yeah it’s not bad, not like the latest stuff, but not bad.
37402 had on fitted, but it just seemed to slowly fade each time I used it until eventually it died?
I’ve not replaced it, in fact I’ve removed the drive on that loco so it’s effectively a dummy now suitable for double heading or tailing a train.

Cheers Dave, I’ve tried to make the most of what is essentially just a double loop of track. It’s all based on what I see when I’m walking my dog most days on the WCML (she’s a Dalmatian - hence the spots!)

I’ll be honest I’ve watched “how to vids” by other bigger channels/ experts & all I do is kinda pinch tips & ideas….
Most of what you see on my layout is where I’ve just winged it! I mean what’s the worst you can do?
If you mess up, it’s easy to just apply more Scenics until it looks right🤷
I like Richard at “New Junction” because he just seems to get on with it & have the right kind of approach to it all…
