@@cowlunitproductions2004, You have done the Every EMD diesel locomotive in 10 words or less Remastered. Next up is Every GE Diesel Locomotive in 10 words or less Remastered.
at 5:49, the reason the GA8s used freight trucks it that the traction motors wouldn't fit in an engine that small. Instead of, you know, working around that, they stuck the traction motor in the middle of the frame and added driveshafts to the trucks like a model locomotive. Because of this they rode like an angry bull lol
Great video, and thanks for the shoutout! I'm also familiar with the British Rail 10 words or less video, but your series definitely gave the style of video the recognition that it deserves as it did inspire so many channels to make videos in that kind of fashion.
The engine at 6:19 is one of my favorites. It’s the first locomotive I ever saw and rode behind when I was very young. It made me happy to see ya used it in the video=)
No, you did not get that wrong at all. Honestly flattered and honored to be mentioned by you, and thanks for the shoutout. Of course, that video would've been nothing if I never got inspiration from you.
I found this to be just as entertaining a video as the original version, if not more entertaining! Certainly, this edition is way more complete than the original. Also, I think I'll check out the other "10 words or less" videos you mentioned at the end later. Thanks for remaking this!
11:00 as a volunteer brakeman at a museum that runs a Great Northern SDP40, her back steps are a pain to hang off of because of the cantilevered rear platform, but she is beautiful.
just wanted to put something out there on the FL9s, they are SOMEHOW STILL living. i believe there are 3 still alive, two are actually on a shortline called the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. one is preserved at the railroad's depot, while one is still in service.
11:27. Good locomotive OC idea: An EMD SD50 who is always sulky and grumpy and is always unhappy because they blame themselves for ruining EMD’s reputation.
Funny enough, the T in the video was built for the Fyansford Cement Works as D1 and was narrow gauge (2'6") before the VR bought it and reclassified along with renumbering it to T413 (the 2nd as the first is now H1)
So how do you like the newer GO passenger cars? I worked at the Bombardier shitshow in Thunder Bay for 11yrs. Seeing the GO colors again gave me flashbacks and ptsd!! Great script 👏 you have comedic talent that's for sure 😅
4:54 If you ask me, they look a HELL of a LOT better than the Chargers. Part of why I want Amtrak to start using them rather than the charger is not just because they’re emds, but they look better.
There was a survivor of the GP18 class that N&W had however it just recently got cut up where it sat at an old coal temple. I swore I had seen it somewhere and eventually found 1 photo from the 90s where it was abandoned. Kind of made me sad.
A Remastered Version of the Original. EPIC. And soon we will have Every GE Diesel Reviewed in 10 Words Or Less Remastered, And so on and so forth. Also, 4:28, F40PH fan’s be Pullin out their Guns to Execute Cowl Unit Productions.
I think, SD50 and GP50 is the PA and RS-3 of EMD, because of using rushed to production engine. But the difference is, EMD could rectify the problem by making another new engine and still produce the older model with a well-proven prime mover, and also, GM's money.

Is this because of the e2 thing
4:10 I used to watch a pair of FL9s running a seasonal passenger train up in Maine until 2015
Love the remaster. Keep up the great work. Also 1:14 i would like to see every North American rebuild get their own 10 words or less video

Literally the fate of every locomotive.
7:07, you have to remember when you saw the NW4 for the 1st time (you literally panicked about its small snub nose box on the front)
11:32 - But good enough to buy 5 Australian built (Clyde Engineering) SD50S units and bring them to the US, and still run all of them.
