  • It's been a while since i've uploaded a full length video, so since I have a little snippet of free time I thought I'd put together something special; that being this F125 compilation. Featuring a few catches spanning from October of 2017 through April of 2018, this video includes locos 905, 907, 908, and 910. Included idling/walkaround videos at the end to mix it up a little, I thank you all for watching and I hope you enjoy!

      The F125’s acceleration is fast? Looks as slow as a GE to me because of the 20-cylinder engine. However, it does load up quickly like other EMD diesels.

      @@blackbirdgaming8147 AC traction has really been a game-changer for freight and passenger trains. It’s also interesting how it can help a locomotive have quicker acceleration, whether diesel or electric powered.

    I've been scouring the internet for months trying to find a pic inside the cab of an f125. But almost 6 months later, I still cant find a single one. By comparison there are hundreds of in cab pics of the siemens charger. I wonder if they are trying to keep it a secret or something almost as if either EMD or Metrolink has something to hide in there.

      Donald Stinnett I’m pretty sure it’s against regulation to open the view to the cab. That’s Why we don’t often get to see the cab rides

      @davesnowjonesboro 2 года назад +1

      Nope--- I haven't been able to find one either. I'm wanting to make the loco for use in Trainz. I did a BL36PH, and couldn't find a pic of a cab of one of those either, so I just used my imagination. They're probably similar to a Charger control stand don't you think?

      Maybe the Chatsworth incident is why they don't allow phones in there

    • @ConductorDon
      @ConductorDon Год назад

      @@CatBot007 I'm actually a conductor for a class1 now. Hired on back in 2021. They had a public unveiling of this engine back when it was new, and the cab was open for viewing, but there were no pictures taken of the interior by anyone, which I still find odd since the engine wasn't in operation while the event was taking place. You can't use an electronic device while the train is in operation while in the cab, but our operating rules allow us to use our phones when we are sitting at a red board for example and no one is out on the ground, and no work is being performed. It technically says only for "voice or text communication" in the rules, but guys do what they do. I can tell you since there are cameras all inside cabs now, I'd lose my job in a heartbeat if I ever invited anyone aboard to have a look around, which is a huge bummer because I had some nice crews let me climb up there when I was a kid pre 9/11. Better yet, if I get caught with my phone anywhere on my person while working, I'll lose my job best case. Worst case if an FRA agent sees it, I lose my job and pay a fine somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 grand. They even have detectors inside the nose of the engine that will notify the company if there is a cell phone turned on while the train is in motion. So many ways to get fired and you constantly have to cover your ass. I do feel happy that I'm finally doing my childhood dream job, but another part of me wishes I'd been more open minded growing up and had thought about more than just 1 career possibility. Take care man.

      @@ConductorDon most thing that happened to me was in the cab car the conductor went to sit in the cab and he let me inside the red roped area and opened the shade for me for a little bit. Also, on the same train, I saw the engineer smoking while driving. I talked to him for a bit and when we got to LA Union and when I got to my destination he tossed me a water bottle from the locomotive cab. I never saw the engineer again but I still see the conductor sometimes. I remember it was an f59ph in the plain white livery. Also that comment was a joke lmao
