Probably only Govts 😂😂 and their use is somewhat different 😂😂

Would be super amazing to see compatibility with Network LaserCube too! As I’m “heavy-duty user” of LaserCubes - my whole fleet would be happy to run on Liberation 😂

Thank you!! I cannot wait for the beta. I ordered a Helios DAC to give it a shot

So I'm assuming Liberation is where you've been the last few months. Great to see it finally progressing into beta!

Thank you! Yes exactly, it's been a lot of work 😊

Will Liberation work with IDN, the "ILDA Digital Network" protocol? There are some affordable RGB lasers with IDN built in.

More on that on the 9th. But I’m curious as to the lasers with IDN that you mention. I never saw any. Can you link me?

Genuine question... I recently saw a video in which someone's mobile camera was damaged by lasers at a music concert. (They were standing at floor level.) Wouldn't light that bright also damage people's eyes?

A good light operator / engineer isn't supporsed to expose the crowd to lasers above 500mw.
Most show lasers are 2-3-4W + and can damage eye, skin, surfaces & camera sensors etc...

Would it be possible to add FB4 (built-in network DAC) compatibility? Generally speaking, how compatible would Liberation be with Pangolin compatible gear? (I'm guessing not much considering Pangolin gear is usually only compatible with itself)

If I had access to an FB4 I'd very much be up for RE'ing the network protocol to help get it documented for use with other laser show tools. I've got a BEYOND Essentials license, but my controllers are FB3 and I don't fancy trying to RE the USB stuff (especially because Pangolin packs their executables) - pulling apart the network stuff seems much less painful.

Aha! The only question I needed answered at this point. I have a modest 2W RGB in the post' and during a chat with the sender he dropped a 'will work with FB4 and Pangolin'. As far as I'm aware only works with the Enttec DMX-USB Pro dac. But I want to support Liberation. I don't need to buy a DAC for a couple of months yet, but I have a feeling I'll need both Dacs if I want to run both programmes?
