  • In this second method the sight and breath take place in one manoeuvre!
    The order here is sight, then breath.
    Use the leading arm eg Left, so support the sight.
    Extending the chin forwards, limiting any lift upwards of the head.
    Use the natural torso rotation created by the stroke mechanics, in this case... with left lead arm - the left side torso is low, the right side torso high.
    Rotate to capture breath and return to neutral spine and swimming stroke.
    Practice both sides.... one side might feel more natural and easy.

    Great clips. I do a kind of hybrid of both your versions where I look on the first leading arm stroke (left or right) as you and then put the head back and breathe on the next (in this case would be right arm forwards).
