To whom it may concern, it did wreck me. Pretty good movie, with Meryl Streep being excellent as always. Florence had absolutely no chops for singing (specially the outstanding arias she dared to sing) but she had the passion. As she says herself in the movie "People may say I can't sing, but no one can ever say I didn't sing."

It's more of a drama with elements of farce than a tragicomedy.
It's more than a one joke film, there is also great comedic performance from Simon Helberg.
Hugh Grant was surprisingly good. I am always skeptical when it comes to him, but dayum, he and Meryl became such a great tandem!

Although St Clair wasn't a typical partner/husband, I still loved how he has always tried to protect her from any form of negativity and how he actually cared for her. As always Meryl Streep was perfect, but the biggest surprise is definitely Hugh Grant who has shown how amazing he can be and he had a certain warmth in his eyes whenever he was talking or looking at Meryl/Florence. Truly convincible.

what makes Miss Streep so great is the fact that she has the unique talent to see and feel the soul of the person that she is playing...she can identify with the human condition, the human soul for what it is. I admire such a talent...because, she shows us we are are not so different--- that-- as she once said, and I paraphrase, we have the germ of everyone inside of us. Thank you Miss Streep....Thank you for helping us to look at ourselves with your incredible talent..your art continues to make us better human beings. Love ya!!!

Anna Russell once said that Florence Foster Jenkins had one good note in the vocal range: e above high-c. Bravo, Meryl. Only you could carry this off. We can't wait to see the film.

Is there any better actress than Meryl Streep? She just moved to me: I´m afraid!
One of her best performances ever!

I can't wait for this movie! I've been a FFJ fan since the early 1950's when I was introduced to her legendary voice by Maura K. Wedge-Who starred with Richard Kiley in "Man of La Mancha". Meryl Streep is perfect for this role.

I heard some actual 78's of her @ 1960. I can attest to the fact that the voice in the trailer is much better than the actual Florence Foster Jenkins on those records. I believe there are places online that have some of the actual recordings that I had heard. That there is a movie about this amazes me but then at this stage of American culture not much amazes me anymore. :)

Florence Foster Jenkins is one of my favorite figures in Pop Culture, it's about time she had wider exposure. And there's nobody better to portray her.
