    Absolute gold gentlemen! I am 62 and still training with prior injuries. Good training is very possible with the considerations you guys discussed. Found it very useful.

      @@richardwilson-ih6rb people like you need to spread the word on how you do it. Too many young guys in there 30s preach about how to train for longevity and so on. But the truth lies with those who have done it like you! Osu.

    - Always warm up. Always warm down
    - Listen to your body
    - When you are injured, recover. But (if you can) do active recovery
    - Yoga helps a lot. Flexibility, mobility, but also recovery. Foam roller helps too a lot with the recovery process, or just with general soreness
    - Help yourself and learn how to do sports massage yourself. A quick 5 min video on youtube will save you hours of pain.

    I'm 45 year old a 3rd year kyokushin student waiting on my 4th knee surgeries.. I'm probably done

      Dang, I hope those surgeries weren't a result of your Kyokushin training? If so, run like heck!

      I was doing ok on the old knees but i was sparring and leg swept a kid too clean, I tried to catch him from falling but went with him falling backwards full scorpion then limping in a full leg brace, i blew out the other one. 😅 im ok, i can still Box!​@@BudoTraining
