Mitch recently released a solo EP of original work. It contains 5 songs, 4 of which have visualizer videos and one which has an official video. This work is under the name Messer and the EP is named Roses. I highly recommend that you react to the EP as a whole, or to the individual songs. They are different from his work with PTX or Your Power, but are more like the music he loves. I think you might be surprised.

No I don’t think so. I have to agree that I did enjoy this better than the original. The original video the snake was kind of a distraction and I didn’t really invest in the lyrics as much. This with the simplicity of the video I was entirely engaged in the lyrics and it was so moving. I do admit though that I am always a bit disconcerted when people get all happy excited listening to this. It makes me think they aren’t really listening … or maybe they just don’t care

I just went over and watched the original and while I respect her version, Mitch’s version pierces my soul.

PTX just released additional tracks to their Lucky Ones original EP…there is a song called Anchor on it that Mitch sings. I’m obsessed with it! Definitely worth checking out, especially if you love Mitch!

I heard the original about 2 days before this appeared and I would say that in Billie's version she mumbles the lyrics somewhat, which is a stylistic choice, whereas Mitch's incredible enunciation tells the story much more clearly. Both versions are good but I find Mitch's version mesmerising. Of course, kudos to Billie for writing it in the first place. If it wasn't written from personal experience it damn well feels like it was.
How I think about the 2 versions: Billie leaves me in tears. Mitch leaves me in awe.

Mesmerizing...that is it. I'm captivated. I could listen to this on repeat all night long and never wake up until morning because it is so calming. I love Billie's version, definitely, but I feel so much more in the lyrics with Mitch's version. I love that he recorded the music for this and that his friend, Austin, recorded the video. I absolutely love your excitement for music! I have missed watching your PTX/Superfruit reactions! I love you reacting to most anything because of what you catch and your excitement, but I miss your reacting to PTX/Superfruit! Thanks for this!

Great point!!! "Listening" vs "hearing"....very important...as we try to communicate with each other. Often we fail - because, although we're "listening"...we're not really "hearing" what's being communicated.
Nice to see you react to Mitch's video. He's amazing. Nice to see you react to any of Pentatonix. You've been missed. I subscribed to your channel for Pentatonix and Taylor reactions a long time ago but you seemed to have moved on. (Sigh) The subject matter of the song is disturbing and difficult to hear but Mitch and Billie both sang the song beautifully.

Yo I gotta be honest, technically I’ve seen “better” singers. (Bigger range, control, etc.) but Mitch is still my favorite. So unique and effortless, like an actual angel 😇
I’d be interested to know what you consider "technically better". Having a large range of notes does not make you technically better it’s just a larger range. Singing technique is far beyond simply your vocal range. Mitch has one of the best vocal techniques that I’ve heard and the quality of his voice and his vocal control is unlike anything that I’ve encountered.

@@Scrub_Jake Dimash’s most impressive thing is his range. His technique is good but I wouldn’t say it’s better than Mitch. A lot of it’s showboating on his part and I haven’t seen a lot of variety in his technique. I can honestly say I don’t enjoy his singing. His vocal style makes me cringe; it’s like a caricature of a "the great singer" that would be in a comedy but without the context to setup the joke. And the pans to the old ladies swooning is more than I can take; and I’m an old lady.
