Thank you so much for making this video. I am angry and saddened by it. Having visited Tulsa recently, you can absolutely recognize these highlighted inequities. Justice for those ancestors murdered and run-out of Greenwood.

Lush, this is just one more reason why I will never stop loving you. This documentary is one of the best I have seen about Black Wall Street. Thank you.

    2020
In my grandmother's last days, fighting stage 4 colon cancer, we were able to tell her about her mother who died when she was young. While looking for information we found out that her mother was 6 years old when she experienced this massacre first-hand along w/ 3 generations of my family.
As a descendant, my family & I are still processing this. Seeing our family's stolen land on documentaries, standing on the soil wondering where 2 family members are is devastating & being on my family's land seeing the highway, a stadium, universities, high rises, etc is further insulting as well as heartbreaking.
I hate the "it was over 100 years ago" argument, because our families are still feeling the affects all these years later.
Now that I know, I can't unknow it & I'm committed to due justice on my ancestors behalf.

This truth be told short movie, is phenomenal! I can only say thank you, to all involved in the making’s of this True, and valuable information about my very own birthplace.
My father, Benjamin R. Boulware, owned a piece of the remaking of BWS, (Cameron Grocery Store), before Urban REMOVAL not only tore down our home, but also his business, and ran the overpass over and through BWS, and all but completely destroyed all of his hard work.of the second rebuilding of Greenwood’s BWS.

I am old, well-read and educated, and only recently learned about this atrocity. There is also the property stolen in Manhattan Beach, Ca. and the families on Silver Dollar Rd, the farm families who even now are having to fight an unjust battle to keep their farms. This country is criss-crossed with cases of homes and properties literally stolen from American citizens. There are remedies to right the wrongs of theft.
We must find the strength to do the right rhing.

I am deeply touched and ferociously outraged. I am also breathing in hope and exhaling awareness because of this very well done exposé’s release. So much injustice and hatred. I am sickened and heart broken. We can do better. We must be better. I’ll be sharing this. Thank you to the courage and bravery and resilience documented here. Profoundly grateful to lush. Client since first store in California. We can help each other elevate the collective evolution, eradicate fear of differences and honor our unique humanity on Mother Earth; one voice and mind opening at a time

I am going to LUSH tomorrow and buying soap for my daughters. I will put a note on the soap to check why it is so important and to think about Greenwood and the people who use it.

Thank you Lush for putting this important and educational piece of work. I learned of Black Wall Street in 2016 while spending 2 months in Tulsa for work. This documentary gave me way more information. It's unfortunate, but I believe they will never willingly give US reparations. All praises for that day to come 🙏🏾

On June 12th, 2024, the Oklahoma Supreme Court dismissed this case.
I can't believe that company based across the pond was willing to amplify the trauma and hardships Greenwood's Black community than their government.
    Justice delayed is justice denied.

Thank you for making this video. It was very educational. Very sad. So many people died over a misunderstanding, and someone shooting a gun off at the worst time ever. Two groups of peoples racism and fear. I hope my children neve have to be treated badly for their skin, or their ancestors choices. I do not want them to recycle this type of fear and violence. They feed on eachother. I am left with a few questions. The total of fatalities. How many were black and how many where white? Where there any other races involved? I also would like to know how many of the homes/ establishments where black owned, and how many where white homes and establishments. Were there ever any grants to either party to restore to this day? I would like to learn more. Again, thank you.

I’m a Black Woman 51 and I only heard about this maybe a decade ago
I want to cry watching this…..
    It’s so sad
God Almighty is a God of Justice
Those people who did this have been judged by God
    Hebrews 9:27
People are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment". Jesus said that people will be judged based on their actions during their lives.

Stop begging politicians and the systems they build with OUR money to teach our children history because they never do. I'm almost fifty and was raised overseas as an Army dependent alongside every race, creed and country of origin you can imagine and even OUR public-school teachers failed to teach us much more than the revolutionary war and the civil war. I could name all fifty states and their capitals, but it took me meeting my Grandparents on my father's side to learn that Native Americans did not have all their constitutional rights until 1968. Yes, you read that right nineteen-sixty-eight. I have living relatives who's homes the police would just walk right into, who's children were stolen by child "protective" services for crimes their parents were never charged with, arrested for, brought before a jury to be judged by after the state presented the evidence or were ever convicted of. STOLEN CHILDREN, and I never even heard about it! I don't know anything about Greenfield, but I'm with you on spreading the truth. Write down EVERYTHING! find a historian and get that sweet old lady's memoirs written. There's no point in studying history if it isn't complete AND accurate. I'm not anti-AMERICAN, I'm anti-IGNORANCE.
Good luck and God bless. I hope you get your day in court.

This annoys me because while in the store today I noticed this new item. Im not a bar soap person. The colored (black) girl rolled her eyes at me (white) when I said I don’t use bar soap. Sorry I don’t use it and I’m not going to buy something I won’t use. Definitely made me leave without purchasing anything
