  • This is a review and demo of the Rogue Echo Glute-Ham Developer. Bottom line up front, the Echo GHD is a great piece of equipment for a garage gym or a small gym where space is at a premium. This is the first equipment review I have done and there will be more coming in the future.

    You've got a nice set up! I'm working on a home gym and I've had something very similar to this in mind. Nice video!

      Thank you! I am actually in the process of moving and I am going to try to make a video where I completely reassemble the gym.

    Can you show a photo of how you have it stabilized against the wall? Mine rocks when I do a GHR and I'm trying to figure out how to stop it from doing so.

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  5 лет назад

      I don’t really secure the box to the wall anymore, but I used to use the stabilizer offered from rogue.

    Excellent vid
    How good is this for hyper extensions

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  6 лет назад +1

      I didn’t record hypers because there isn’t as much force transferred to the box. The Echo GHD works well for hyper extensions from my experience. I still think a full size GHD works better, but not by much, and a full size GHD is also much larger

    thanks for this; how do you have the strip mounted to the wall?

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  5 лет назад

      I have 2 2x6 boards as stringers between a couple studs and the strip is bolted to that now. In the video it was bolted into a stud in the wall with 3 lag bolts

    • @bryanweingart2678
      @bryanweingart2678 5 лет назад

      Kurtis Stadsvold thanks, no issues with it like that (or before)? I have super limited space so I have an sml stand not rack so my option for this is the strip on the wall.
      Nice channel btw, you should have more subs/viewers.

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  5 лет назад

      Bryan Weingart it was plenty strong in both configurations. The only reason I switched to a stringer is because the strip wasn’t on a stud where I wanted it.

    Have you tried attaching the roller assembly to your rack? The holes on mine don't line up perfectly with my RML-390F. Wondering if I'm the only one

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  6 лет назад +1

      I have found that the holes on the roller are all 1” on center. This means that all the holes from the foot roller assembly won’t line up with the rack because most of the rack has holes that are 2” on center. 2 of the holes almost always will. I only use two pins to secure the foot roller to the rack. Any more than this is probably unnecessary. Does that make sense?

      I have the monster light version and they don't line up on my monster light sml2 2c.
      Today I'm going to bring it to wear I have an infinity w4 wall mount and I think it will connect just fine just will rely on the pins to keep stable

      Michael McNally An update! I emailed Rogue about this issue and they sent me a new roller assembly free of charge. The new one lines up perfectly! Didn't even have to ship the old one back

    • @Michaelhood0
      @Michaelhood0 6 лет назад

      I bought mine second hand.
      Do you think they would do the same? I'd save the other and use it on the infinity and keep the new one for my monster light

    Is this attachment compatible with a 2x3 rack or only a 3x3 rack? I have a Titan T3 power rack and want this attachment

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  2 года назад

      I’m sure it could be modified but as is from Rogue, no. It is not compatible

    Can you put the ghd on a foam plyo box

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  5 лет назад +1

      I’ve never attempted it, but I imagine it would attach with no problem as long as it is the same size as the rogue games box

    Ghd vs Glue Ham Glider?

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  2 года назад +1

      That’s a difficult question. First off, I changed my opinion on this piece, there is a more recent review out there. I’ve had a glider and no longer have one. I now do a DIY setup that mimics a GHD so I say if you have the space, GHD

      I have an updated review is this piece. Bottom line. It was good for that period of time but as my training evolved, I grew out of that piece of equipment and sold it.
