- Is this the piece of equipment you're missing in your home gym? We're going to take an look at all the things the Bells of Steel Reverse Hammer combo machine can do and even though I wouldn't recommend GHDs and Reverse Hypers for most garage gyms I have to say this piece of equipment surprised me.

Dude your entire disposition is the only reason I subscribe lol.
That's a nice looking piece of equipment! Thanks for the in depth review! Now I want one.
You can get a job working there and maybe they'll hook you up 😉
😂 “When my family finds out I have a RUclips channel they won’t bully me too hard “ Keep up the great work! That piece looks nice, but not sure I can justify the space… will probably be easier after I need it for rehab.
Yeah the space is the issue. Even here where I've taken over the entire garage it's still big. 😂 It's true my extended family has no idea.
@@GlucksGym why haven’t you told them about all these gems? I would have a hard time keeping the secret in. Seriously can’t wait to see where you take this over the next few years :) You and Winnie are just plain fun!
this type of thing is exactly the type of verasatile and reasonably priced equipment home gym owners love. this is definitively a piece Ill be wanting for my own home gym.
Great. Another piece of gym equipment I didn't know I needed until now. Great review!
Hahaha you're welcome
Kudos on the marvellous purchase !! I sound so cliched when I pay my gratitude for videos as good as these.
The varied content is as exemplary as your sense of humour and candour
I really appreciate it. Nobody would ever complain about that praise!wish we had more people like you around here!
@@GlucksGym In this mega useful machine , the two handles above the weight plates are so helpful in getting down🙂
3:52 did someone say basement?
I swear, just following your comments gives access to so many great fitness youtubers. You're like a community beacon 🚨.
Nobody said basement! If it sounded like it it's just because I mumble
@@deadapostle Thanks big John!
Can't argue with that
This is the way!
Great video, I will be saving up for this for the next 11 months.
Awesome Review 👍
Seriously considering this one. Thanks for the review dude.
Still using this consistently. Great piece if you've got the space. Thanks!
Another good one guys.
Good job, Gluck! Great job, Wynie!
Thank you!
Wynie's Cake Factory from making more batter lol ! Wynie's jokes you make are pretty funny lol also the Wynie's breaking the internet lol . very nice review video . hope to see more . also cant wait for your next giveaway . keep up the great work .
Thanks. Sometimes they just write themselves.
haha...Wynie's Cake Factory.....I am envisioning a Protein Cupcake Factory....lets make it happen!
Hmmm another brilliant idea perhaps?
Love your Videos, great content. Love the sarcasm... By the way, you are looking jacked! Lastly, do be so jealous, you and your lady make an amazing team.
Thank you so much! What a nice comment 😁
Great video!!
Thank you 😊
Came across the channel today and already watched about 10 episodes. Great stuff! I made the mistake of sending a link about the REP power rack review to my wife...gotta remember to order it before she sees the video saying it's overkill and not needed.
Love this piece of equipment and great review of it!
Hahaha well I also really love that rack so there's that. Thanks! Glad to hear you're enjoying the content!
Text response from the wife - "I am glad you look at gym equipment that way - not women" 😂
Haahhahaha that's awesome
If I had room for one of these I’d get one in a heartbeat. Seems like a great middle ground between titan and rogue.
I haven't used Rogue's in a long time so I don't exactly remember how I felt about it but for the price this thing surprised me
Looks pretty awesome! I have no more space……..but it looks pretty awesome😂
I've seriously enjoyed using it but space is definitely an issue.
This thing looks solid. My old gym had one of those from Titan and it was a little sketchy. My new gym doesn't have one, mainly because there's no space in my garage and I can't afford it.
Looking huge in this video dude.
😊 Thank you
@@GlucksGym Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.
Very thorough review, thank you. Looks like a nice piece of equipment, but just too big and heavy for a small one car garage gym. Maybe you could do some reviews of space saving multi use items for smaller spaces?
Another great review! Wish I had room for one. (Btw….Cake factory😂🤣)
😊 New protein powder incoming 😂
“With someones help it’s easy to get off on this thing”…aint that the truth 😂
I've been generally happy with the Texas Strength Systems ghd/rh combo. It has dedicated seal row attachments too. The tolerances for moving the foot plate are frustrating so unless the seal row attachment is super important to you, this looks more convenient and if I were buying new now I'd lean toward the BOS
I've been torn between the two of them for months lol.. Is the footplate the only frustration? It's just me in my gym 95% of the time and I don't think that issue would bother me, or even have to move it that often. IDK why they don't make that adjustment point similar to designs like this one.. I don't really need the seal row functionality but am still leaning towards that model for the interchanging pads.
@@airgordo4 The interchangeable pads are nice. I did need to get some extra bolts for the foot pad bracket and the foot plate bracket scuffs the cross bar that it's mounted to when you move it. I was pretty upset with that happening out of the box. You can pick the color if that's important, but if neither that nor the seal row is important I would probably go with BOS. Only other reason to favor TSS is if youre also looking at something like their 6 in 1 yoke, which i am very happy with. Lots of options and breaks down for compact storage and easy transport to a gym or to use with friends. GHD vs GHD though, I can't see Gluck doing anything but savaging TSS for that kind of manufacturing oversight with missing bolts and the machine scratching its own powder coat with its intended use if he reviewed TSS.
Hahaha. I'm more forgiving on budget level stuff but when you pay premium prices, not so much and TSS is much cheaper than many options. But if it's a pain to adjust and I know exactly what you mean with a system like that, it's gotta be frustrating.
Always wanted one but feel like a leg press/hack squat machine would be money better spent.
Also "won't stop the cake factory from making any batter" was brilliant LOL
Thank you, thank you 😂 you know I'm just going to have to get one of those too so I can find out 😏
This looks like a decent machine, although the size is probably too big for most garage or basement gyms, even in my 800 sq feet I wouldn’t want one this large. I recently got the REP GHD (Yes it’s just a GHD, but many people have switched from reverse hyper to GHD anyway) while it may be slightly less stout than say the Rogue, it is excellent. The padding is great, as are the adjustments. The best part is the smaller footprint, and it has good wheels and isn’t so crazy heavy, it can actually be moved around. Half of a stall mat wide, and not even a full mat long. The quality is very good, and for less than $500 shipped, it’s hard to beat in my opinion. I would probably have gotten a Rogue if I could’ve found one used for a decent price, but an early model (Version 1) was selling for $500 used, & no negotiating. For $20 less I got the new REP, and I have no regrets. You should review the REP GHD, there aren’t many good reviews on it, and I believe it’s worthy of a solid review, since you have so much great REP equipment already….keep up the great reviews, I have several BOS pieces (Their barbells are excellent), and quality is usually good or very good.
I think I am going into sugar shock after all that cake 🎂 🥴
I apologize for the diabetes
I’m about to build one under $200. I’m too cheap for something that pricey. There are some drawings for the reverse hyper alone for under $100 but I am adding the features here plus seated calf raises where I add an extension to the pendulum in order to do the seated calf raises.
Yep
That thing is almost as large as my Prime Fitness Row machine. Huge foot print and quite pricey so it’s a no for me but I’m thinking about the Westside Scout Hyper. Great review as always man!!
Did you just say Prime fitness then call Bells pricey?!
@@GlucksGym 😂 that’s why it’s pricey, Prime Fitness took all my money already. Mostly care about that foot print though, I have basically run out of space in my gym now.
Isn't this obsolete now with the invention of the Massenomics Drink Spotter?? Would love this piece but the footprint is a no go. I enjoy using two roller pins on the outside of my rack as a GHD hack. The ending was perfect, used to be known for your intros but some funny outtakes may be a more time efficient to keep your reviews very Gluckish! Nice review!
It would be cool to see your setup and how you use it!
@@dasdos002 Take a look at the 10 minute mark of the GGR video "10 Squat Rack Hacks for Home Gym & Beyond!" shows exactly how I set my rollers up!
@@joecowan3719 you’re the man! Thank you!
@@joecowan3719 that’s a cool idea. But that mimics more a 45 hyper than a GHD.
@@dasdos002 Yeah, you are right, if you have flip down safeties or spotter arms with the holes in them you can move the foot brace up to mimic a true GHD. Getting in and out is a little bit tricky but for my small space it works
Reverse Hyper Machine is the most important of all
I wish the handles werent so long so you could use it like a seal row a bit easier
I would say this one or the Vulcan Kraken are the best combo choices for most people.
The Vulcan has always been my number 1, but this one is actually available in Canada
@@steveunholzer2056 amen brother. Bells of Steel is great for those up North. Whenever someone tells me they’re in Canada, I always suggest BoS.
@@jamestonbellajo 100%
How thick is the padding? Any feedback on how it holds up?
Just going to let you know I'm taking that cake factory joke and using it. You get a 👍for that one. Great review but that thing is too big for my space.
Ahahha go for it. Sometimes I come up with good ones 😂
I came here to admit it. I have plate envy. yours are just better. we all feel it but most won't say it.
Hahaha this is good
That’s very nice. But it has a big foot print for my size garage. Keep the reviews coming.
Yeah that's probably the biggest issue for most
@@GlucksGym would love to have the gym set up you have. That is a top notch home gym you have!
You just won our giveway, email me and tell me the title of this video to confirm I know it's you!
@@GlucksGym I sent you an email on your website. I’ll send another. I couldn’t find your email on RUclips.
@@GlucksGym I sent you an email on your website. I hope that is works for you. I am excited to finally WIN!!!!
I use my Westside Scout for a lot of movements and almost never an actual reverse hyper. I like it for leg extensions, leg curls and different row variations. Obviously leg extensions/curls would be better on a dedicated machine, but I don't have the space and its pretty cool to still be able to do those exercises.
Yeah sometimes with a home you get creative and make it work
"they take up a lot of room", yeah but not as much as all the abs and biceps machines, leg curls, smith machines and all the other inferior stuff. I'd much rather have a GHR in my gym. however we do have a hyper extension which is a good start.
I know I’m late to the game but what about the Sorinex Frankenhyper ? I realize it’s apples and oranges because that thing is definitely a full on commercial machine but I’ve been curious if anyone has used one.
4:24 damn whos that hunk in the gray shirt
Picked the best clip of him for that one 😂
W product W video
😊
Does ir only fit 2 inch hole plates ?
You are a lucky man
I have the Rogue Donkey and not having the arms are really annoying. This looks like a solid piece and wish it was an option last summer when I purchase the Donkey.
Not sure exactly when they updated to this version but it def could've saved you some money
@@GlucksGym Unfortunately I was one of those Rogue-only guys because it was the only brand that I knew of. I learned so much about home gym equipment in the 6 months or so that I “upgraded” my gym. There are so many cool brands out there doing really good stuff.
Please do a review of Vulcans reverse hyper ghd combo!
It's so many doll hairs! And why are handles and steps an optional upgrade?!
I wonder if these things have a big enough market that someone could make a slip over Velcro on pad that would bring the arch of an actual GHD pad?
I feel like people buy everything and anything now so probably 😂
Vulcan Kraaken Hyper Light GHD is a pretty strong competitor. It's a bit pricier than the BoS unit, but it also likely fixes everything wrong with the BoS without the cost of the Rogue Donkey. Shipping weight is 470 lbs, so you're getting a beast of a machine for ~$1600 after you add handles and a step to get on and off. That's the upgrade from this one. I would probably just skip the donkey at that point.
I was going to say the Vulcan too...its a beast and worth the $$
We dig the Vulcan Kraaken as well.
Unless they're covering the shipping costs, with those upgrades it's probably about the same price as Rogue's but the pad looks nice. Would love to see how it compares.
@@GlucksGym I feel it’s time to start a road show reviewing viewers’ home gyms. You can start with our’s in Texas where we have a Kraaken set up.
We actually have the first tour set up for July on New York. Hopefully it goes well and we can make it a thing 😊
Been torn between this model and the Texas Strength Systems model for a few months now...
That one looks interesting with the barbell stand but getting in and out with that adjustment bar so high might be a bitch
2:52 I find it's easier to get off with somebody's help too
Probably a common problem
In Louie Simmons we trust!
He did so much for us
2:49 - 2:55 Love to see a video of you "getting off alone" or "getting off on this thing". Hmmm. Did I say that out loud...
Not even sure how to respond to that 😂
@@GlucksGym Lets agree to never talk of it again...
My legs are about to get jacked. Only if I had the money lol
Hahaha this does address both of the biggest problems with home gyms. Money and space
You're so fucking funny dude 😂😂😂
I like this guy!
Texas strength has one as well and they use to be one of the only GHD/reverse hyper combos back in the day when only rogue and powerlift had theirs can now triple as a seal row too... They use to be cheaper but their prices went up in 2020.. I picked their hyper/GHD combo used at the very start of the pandemic. Had plans to eliminate a 3rd fridge freezer combo in my house but unfortunately that fridge and freezer became useful during those times so flipped it instead... Quality was
okay if memory serves me right
A few people have mentioned that one and some of it's issue but it looks like a decent piece. Did you get to use it much?
Why do these combos never have the thick pads like in the stand alone ghd?
Vulcan's seems to, or those are poorly photoshopped people 😂
Just got my REP GHD. It would threaten your fanboy status with them. I think they subbed the piece out to the Titan factory
I'm a fan boy for no one. I've never recommended that item 😅
@@GlucksGym I know, I know. Was just teasing. I was expecting more from them due to the reviews on other items. I think things will work out in the end, just horrible packaging
Yell at them. They should make it right. Or let me know and if they fly us out there we'll say so on camera 😂
@@GlucksGym REP made it right, as expected. Just wanted to clarify this on the social media chain.
I’m content with my Titan HPND and wouldn’t have the need for a GHD component.
You'll never know what you're missing unless you spend more money 😉😂
@@GlucksGym I’m good haha I have what I need at this point. Spent the money on getting my Kabuki Transformer bar.
Thompson Rogue Fatbells review?
You know I reached out to him about reviewing those awhile back because I like to get the inventors perspective but never heard anything back
🎂Factory so now, that's another term stuck in my 🧠 and i ain't even mad!!!🍑👏🤤 oh, i know i'm late to this thing, but, what does Gluck's mean?🤔 is it a name or is there some inside 🤣that i missed many videos ago?!? 🙄🤭
😂 Enjoy.
Gluck is just our last name
I like it, but it seems like a bad GHD. Too many compromises for me. But I also love GHD's and think they are one of the most versatile pieces of equipment in a gym. Everyone should have a good GHD.
It works for me but there are definitely people that will prioritize the GHD element over a combo.
Still to big for my gym, just personal opinion, but good idea 👍🏽
It's too big did a lot of home gyms but it's pretty good besides that!
What *is* a commercial home gym?
I'm still not sure

Don't let her get away with that!
Cake Factory indeed
I should write a program 😂
You really should. It will transform the Miami Beach scene
Just because Bells had zero involvement in your combo machine's garage -> basement -> back to garage adventure, doesn't mean you can't just blame them anyway.
Should I tell them they damaged it and see if I can get another one?
@@GlucksGym Where were they at least for emotional support in those bleak winter remodel months ? I didn't see them help cut in the lighting or all the rest . Ok, so they gave you the grain that ultimately led to the bread, thus partaking in fair reward is fine, but now whos' REALLY to blame for the scuffing?
