I so agree with you that the kids have to come home at least once a month for a family dinner! Something about the laughter, conversation, and closeness of sitting down together to eat. ❤
I have two sons they live local. We have family night every Wednesday. Each has a family of 3 children. It is a blessing to get everyone together. Can be a little wild but still we love it lol. One works nights so he and his family don't always get to come. But it is a challenge to come up with meals for every week. Thank you for this idea. I did make and can pizza sauce (your recipe)with my oldest granddaughter that is 11 and then we made homemade pizza crust and pizzas that night. Loved showing her the whole process from start to finish growing, preserving and making a meal out of it. Thank you for your videos. You are helping so many families.
I love this! With carnivores and vegetarians and picky people in my family, this would be a great solution to family dinner night! Thanks Rachel for another great video and recipe!
Looks great. Don't apologize for your kitchen aids age...mine is from the 1970s and still going strong. It doesn't get used as often as it used to any more. No one else here anymore. Thank you for the recipe 😊
I love the idea of a monthly family meal. Yes, time gets away from us if we aren’t careful. Love the music at the end of the video! Thanks for sharing your family fun.
Thank you for this really simple but yummy looking pizza crust. I have been looking for a pizza dough crust recipe that was flexible to do deep dish or breadsticks or thin - basically flexible to do what I felt like on a different day. I too love the air bubbles in the pizza crust. Pizza is something that we used to have quite often until things got more and more expensive. A store-bought bake in the oven cheapest cheese only is now $5.00 on sale ( used to be $3.00) and plain cheese pizza from our local pizza place is $12.00 just plain cheese - used to be $9.00. I already can my own sauce and now I can do the crust. I'm not making the cheese though. I might have to draw the line there - for now - until I see one of your videos showing how easy it is.
Rachel what a fun treasured time. I’m going to do this the next time all the kids and grandkids ( they,re teenagers) are up at our homestead. Thank you for sharing the fun.
Your family is Beautiful, Rachel!! Thanks for sharing, I'll be making batches of dough for the freezer. Excited to be back into cheesemaking again soon and having more mozzarella!
Wow i love everything about this. From the pizza dough to the wonderful family gatherings. I make my own pizza dough too I'm going to make your recipe this weekend . 😊
I love this idea!! We all live a short distance apart, and don’t make enough of an effort to get together! This is so important!! Oh, Thankyou Rachel!!
I will try this dough recipe next time. I am making pizza for our dinner tonight with one dough I made up yesterday for today. :-) Yours looks yummy! Yes, family time is important. Glad to see you all do that.
Those pizza's looked amazing! I usually make a batch of dough that makes 2 pizzas and keep them in the freezer so I can make one easy enough. Since it is just my husband and I only in the house now, one is enough.
Love the easy recipe! Love even more your family dinner practice💖So very important to actually be in the same room together to share life & love! Super soulful!!! Thanks for another wonderful video!
Pizza parties are so much fun! We are partial to cooking on a pizza stone. Highly recommend putting parchment paper under the pizza. So much easier to lift off stone and cleanup is a breeze! Thank you for sharing your family pizza party!
What a fun time with Family!!! Thank you for sharing it with us!!! Thank you for sharing the recipe with us!!! God Bless your Family!!! God Bless Us All!!!
I loved this! I am sitting here cuddling my 6 day old baby knowing he is my last and trying to savor each moment but also super emotional about the thought of this chapter of life being over. You give me hope that my boys will always come home to see their mama when they leave the nest😢
All my kids are grown and so are my grandchildren. I now have two great grandchildren. We have family dinner every Sunday for the majority because a few live out of state. Four of us rotate cooking. So important to stay connected!!
So Wonderful! We actually just celebrated a Late Christmas with my Older Son's who all live about 2 hours away. And I made a total of 8 pizzas. I love memories like these. Manny blessings!
When I was raising my kids, every Sunday after church I'd make Make-Your-Own-Pizza. I hadn't made it in years. My kids are all grown and off two the four corners of the world. I live with my mom now. My nephew moved in the year after my dad passed. He had never had one of my pizzas. So I made it that Easter. He asked if every holiday could be that meal. I thought that would be better than every Sunday so I agreed. It is so much easier to be shopping for pizza fixings over holiday fixings, let me tell you. The leftovers are great for breakfast too!
This looks so good! I watched the video twice and looked through the comments to see if anyone asked the cook temp and time? And wanted to make sure this amount shown is for two pizzas? Thanks for sharing your recipe. Great video!
What an excellent video! And a great looking pizza party 🎉 thanks to your family for making a cameo appearance to show us how it's done! All very creative! 😊 take good care!
We have intentional family dinners too. It's hard to always get everyone together but I usually get 3 out of the4 families. Love doing a pizza night with me and the older grandkids putting the pies together. I usually make the dough the same day but will try your dough to be able to make ahead, less stress. That way I can bake a dessert too!.
This is such a great idea. Since my grandmother passed, we just get together for the holidays. I am going to start this with my in and out laws. Come if you can or see you next time. Thank you. God Bless, stay safe and warm.
Thank you so much for this recipe. I have been looking for a better dough recipe for quite some time now but haven't found the perfect one. Maybe this is the one! I love everything you and Todd make so I'm sure this is amazing too. Looks like the family had a lot of fun making their own style pizzas too.
I'm with you Rachel, I love being a Mom, still do.. But they grew out of our reach of needing us every day. That's a good thing, but sad even still ♥♥♥
Wonderful. Family album with clips from today's video. You are blessed. Guys and gals. Guys being serious in the making and gals so happy. Oh. I almost forgot. Pizza dough and topping are a winner.
Something I have started doing is canning half pints of Italian sausage specifically for using on pizza nights, so that I always have some meat ready to add to our pizzas. It's just my husband and I and our 3 year old so half pints are the perfect amount for 1 pizza, but you can do pints for larger family pizza nights 😊
YUM! Such variety and styles and they all look DELICIOUS! Thank you for sharing. What is the process to use the dough after the 36 hours in the fridge?
I am fortunate my children are all within a 20 minute drive....yet we have felt a need to create "family dinner" nights on a monthly basis because of being busy!!! If you are not intentional, time slips by!! Your pizzas looked amazing! Afterthought!!! I chuckled when you said your kitchen aid was old......I purchased mine in 1977!!!

I replaced the grease in my ka mixer and it made a world of difference. There are videos on RUclips on how to do it. Must use food grade grease.
I love the idea of a monthly family meal. Yes, time gets away from us if we aren’t careful. Love the music at the end of the video! Thanks for sharing your family fun.
You are a blessing to your family
Even the fur babies looked happy to see everyone together!
I make homemade pizza all the time. I love all the different toppings your family put on their own pizzas.
