@@Aereto The form in video is what they wanted to achieve because it is a sign their dragon communion ritual is done correctly to fully later transform into a dragon.
I've found that bayle's tyranny can actually one shot or near one shot each health bar (depending on how many of the hits connect). The initial hit can hit the Avatar's head hitbox if you use it in the right place. And keep in mind that this was with far fewer buffs than you're using.
oh yeah ive one shotted a few bosses with bayles tyranny i just thought the hitboxes are a bit tricky with this fight since the sunflower head sometimes goes up and the shockwave attackbox hits the body instead.
I'm glad they gave us two dragon forms, one to use with Dragon Communion incantations and one to use with Ancient Dragon Cult incantations. I felt in the base game it was an oversight to have a seal that boosted Dragon Communion incantations, but there wasn't one for the Ancient Dragon Cult incantations.
Pretty sure there is a Dragon Cult Incantation seal? You get it from the Leyndell knight at the far right corner before you enter from the bottom of the real Roundtable hold??
@@supersaiyanslade6135 Oh, you're right the Gravel Stone Seal does boost them by 15%. The list I was referencing did not have this seal on it for some reason but I just checked its page on Fextra. I play melee with incants mostly as buffs but I do use Frotissax's Lightning spear on enemies weak to lightning (hits like a truck, has hyperarmor, does good poise damage) so I'm going to start using this seal now in those situations.
@@christopherjohnson2171 Good to hear! @@supersaiyanslade6135 I started off as a strength build and 25 faith for buffs but as I got more and more overleveled I put more points into faith. @@supersaiyanslade6135 well I just tested it when I got home and that Gravel Stone Seal actually has too little Incantation Scaling to make up for the difference. At max stats, the Golden Order Seal provides 418 Incantation Scaling vs 343 with the Gravel Stone and does about 20-40 more damage depending on the spell, despite not having the 15% bonus damage. Oh well, at least I only need to keep using 2 seals---Erdtree for buffs and Golden Order for offensive spells.

The downside is that this dragon form in particular, the ones you get from the Questline tied to Bayle, doesn't boost the Dragon Communion spells he's using, it boosts Dragon Cult, which I think is dumb and unfitting provided the quest was ABOUT Dragon Communion
No this form boosts dragon communion. The priestess heart boosts dragon cult which are the lightning ones. In this video it boosts all incantations he does I believe.

I DESPISE the donkey teeth on the dragon form, but the rest is still awesome. A massive improvement over DS3
Given dragon men becoming this disfigured after so many dragon hearts, it was a small price to pay for power.
@@Aereto actually that form is exactly what they wanted. I mean you could become a wyrm instead
@@Aereto The form in video is what they wanted to achieve because it is a sign their dragon communion ritual is done correctly to fully later transform into a dragon.
Tbf in ds3 the dragon forms supposed to look withered and bad as the age of dragons and dragons themselves are almost entirely gone and done by then
Getting 1/3 of the transformation and a temporary buff is hardly what I'd call a massive improvement
I wish I had known this. This was the only boss to give me trouble until I discovered fire was the best option against it lol.
