Lmao, and he already makes to waste time to summon him too, bc Bayle attacks instantly as you walk in the boss arena. You gotta be so fast to summon him and keep him alive if you wanna hear all his dialogue during and after killing Bayle.
Both mimic and Igon just don’t do anything for me. Mimic ai was so dumbed down lol
Hes moral support and a bow user hes doing his best, and the voice actor has so much hype to his voice its a required summon imo. Really sets the mood ya know.
god bayle was such a cool fight. so far all my favorite fights in fromsoft games have all been dragons. but none top kalameet. i LOVE that fight and that dragon. named my daughter Kala. literally after a dark souls boss. but i wish i could immediately go back and fight bayle again without having to go through the entire game to do so.

Side note if you don’t summon Igon you can still get the priestess heart… you don’t really have to do the quest line I’m pretty sure the heart will just be there after you kill bayle

I can confirm that. I killed Igon before starting his quest to get his armor (no judging please), and the priestess dropped both items after the Bayle fight. I also didn't killed the dragon at the pond.

I got the omen form first, I didn’t know about the dragon forms and thanks to this video I also found my way down… ROCK.
I found the dragon priest form and the omen form by myself now with the video I got that stone heart too
Dragon form still a massive disappointment. Last time it looked cool was DarkSouls 2

The hardest part of the bayle fight was summoning Igon, I usually die juat trying yo get him and my ash out.
Without counting the several times i died just ringing the bell, he took my only 2 tries.
He is aggressive but he is so much more manageable than others

Also tip for Bayle, use a quality lance +25 with great hunt ash of war and you will chunk tf out of him.

Bayle is indeed one of the sickest Dragons I've seen in Fromsoft so far.
Before I wanted to see Placidusax at his prime, now I want to see both of these at their prime cuz Holy shit Bayle is just stabbing us with a broken wing bone.

Rock! Got the lamenter mask but keep forgetting to try it. About to fight Midra, but after that I plan to continue Igon's quest and all of the dragon stuff to get the rock hearts. The death knight armor also boosts ancient dragon cult incantations, so it's a shame you can't stack that buff with the priestess heart buff, but oh well.
Who needs a special dragon hunting Katana? I beat Bayle with my Bolt of Granssax xD

I was curious how this worked and what it did when I got the preistess heart (i didnt do the painting but I found it, figured id look up the spot later cuz I did the base game paintings already)
I assume the omen form is for bleed builds mostly. Raising arcane with occult weapons from black whetknife scaling arcane deals more. Not to mention all the dragon communions are arcane scaled

If you've already killed bayle can you still do the quest line? The painting isn't able for me to grab.
Arcane is a stat that scales Bleed/Occult/Poison builds not just item discovery. Practically all of the weapons with an Arcane requirement have damage that scales off of Arcane and the effectiveness of Bleed can also scale off of Arcane if the weapon has Arcane scaling. There's a lot of strong Arcane builds (Dragon Communion incantations with the Dragon Communion Seal being one of them but that benefits more from another form). Having gear with 8 free levels of Arcane is pretty decent.

The lamenter form is great for one thing and one thing only, and that is memeing as hard as possible and showing everyone that you're just a gremlin

Idk what’s wrong but the ghost for the rock heart isn’t where he’s supposed to be and the Item isn’t there
i got so sad fighting bayle, i can do the run hitless but one of his moves kept crashing my game so i had to swallow my pride and summon to do enough damage before he could do it
Arcane is also how often bleed procs so the Omen one is great for bleed builds

@@luxaeterna365 Does technically mean 8 points that can go elsewhere while still hitting the Arcane soft caps. Can be useful for trying to min max at the lower more Meta levels.

Okay I don't understand... I try to use rock heart without armor and it doesn't let me. Do I do something wrong?
make sure youre not in a safe zone, you will know if you are by the bronze shield icon on the left of the screen (same place where you see the summon icon in a boss fight).
I fast travelled to the first grace of the DLC, the gravesite plain.
I tried again and it worked, no armour on and use it from your inventory menu, if not working still, use the quick select menu (where you press the menu icon before selecting inventory or equipment) on the right side of the screen where you can change summon or emote, change the up arrow on the dpad, that might work.

do these forms make up for the fact you have to unequip all your armor? seems really like youre debuffing your character for a small boost in spells and a visual change... albeit a cool visual change.
Not really it still makes you vulnerable from my experience
It gives u a very small amount of resistance but that’s it. I’m the DLC the bonus defense you get from the scadutree fragments can help though. Having the physical damage resistance talisman can also help greatly.
I cant use the form even though i have the rock heart and the priestess heart, naked doesnt do anything either :/

im not sure you can switch between them, but even by fast travelling or resting at grace doesnt refresh it, only way to remove is death.

Fun fact, the Lamenter has an insta-kill mechanic. If he make a full circle of his mini heads around your head, you fall into despair and die instantly. GUESS HOW I FOUND THAT OUT! Ò3Ó

If you mean the ice lightning spear he used, kill the dragonkin warrior thing at the bottom of either siofra or ainsel river areas. Its one of them, i just cant remember which

I don't understand why it's so widespread. I've come across a few other creators covering SotE content, and everyone seems to mispronounce NPC names even though someone at some point says their name, thus telling you the correct pronunciation.
