Met the guy who worked on the weirs a few years ago when I was fishing Haviland Lake told me where the private water ends. He didn't know where the parking lot was so took a couple of hours driving around and found it in the late afternoon and the rest is what you see here.
Some people fish there all the time will dislike you saying that :) They sure did it to me in the comments. I need to go back there again, I have a new hip now so I can move around much better so can catch a few more trout now.
They stock brooder trout there, I saw a couple of videos some guy snagging big guys a few years ago. If the trout didn't inhale the fly then it's snagging AKA fake fishing. He's killing the trout, sad.
Such a shame to see people blowing up local fishing spots. Disrespectful, disheartening, and selfish beyond belief. Idc if you’ve been fishing here for years or days, the resource has been great because it’s stayed off the radar of the general public. Blatantly saying the area, river, and spot ruins it for angler that’s willing to research and do their homework on the area (such as yourself or so you claim). Thank you for making it one of the busiest years it’s ever been on this section.
@@yspecial1 Selfish is posting publicly about sections such as this for your own personal gain for followers. Idc if you post it, just don’t say where you are. Most of the people know where you are purely based on scenery and why can’t we leave it at that? Seems easy enough and less work for you. This area is turning into the next Deckers, Frying pan, and Taylor with deformed fish, poor angling etiquette, and excessive fishing pressure. Keep areas wild for all to enjoy is all I ask, but that might be too much of a stretch🤷♂️
@@Alpineflyfisher97 it’s public and everyone has a right to know about good fishing spots. It seems like your the selfish one getting mad at people sharing good spots. Also it helps your tourism industry which creates jobs.
Clearly y’all aren’t from around here. Tourism is booming in the area and doesn’t need help. If you want info, stop into the local flyshops. Please, don't be selfish, I started fishing the Blue River before you were born probably. FYI, I used live in Denver area and fished just about all rivers and lakes by reading books and using paper maps. If you don't want others to fish there then shut down Google and social media!
@@yspecial1 this is the most arrogant shit I've heard you say in min. I think it's time you do some self reflection and reconsider your role in fly fishing. I would like to see you go back to a teacher.
@@yspecial1 then delete the video. Ivan's right in his recent post as well. The spot has been blown the fuck up since this release. Banks are now full of dead trout.
This spot is locally known as the lower cheese hole. Small stretch surrouded by private water with automatic pellet feeders.

Great trip Andy. Thanks for the video. You are the man!!!
As always, had a lots of fun, let's do it again.
That is a great spot for sure

Great video!
Thanks!
Wow. That looks like private water with all the weirs and such?! Nice video - thank you.
No, it's not. It's just below the private water. Met a guy who worked on the JP project around here told me where to go.
@@yspecial1 shut up
All the big fish are below the mall in siverthorne.

I'll bet there aren't too many trout streams like this in Korea!
Your guess is good as mine...
Never knew the Blue went thru Salida.
You are funny, I stayed in Salida and drove to the Blue.
Being from Colorado and a Guide myself I smiled at that myself, don't mind it, since he didn't hotspot anything around Salida.
Tom, what the HELL are you doing....?...LOL
Tricky question. People need to care about these places, as Dave Whitlock said. Introduce rivers, don’t burn spots. That’s what I say.

Go ahead and blame me, it's public place for others to enjoy too, don't be selfish. I share many good fishing places on my channel. Happy fishing!
