Yes, you can but you must use that consistently along your setup and ensure in times of fault tracing, you remember your order.

Hello i need some help with hooking up a new phone jack, the other one was damaged. I took it off it had these colors orange and white and orange blue and white and blue green and white and green brown and white and brown, they were all hooked up. The new phone jack has 4 screws what color do i put on what screw B, R, Y and G. I need this for my wifes heart monitor, please help me, sorry i have no idea what i am doing

it should follow this order, stripped orange, blue, stripped blue and orange or if you are using a normal 2 pair telephone wire, it should be Black, Red, Green, Yellow
