    What causes the telephone to hum even when not in use?

    Is it a must i arrange it like this? If i want to use orange and green, should my arrangement be like stripe orange, thick green, stripe green and thick orange. Right? Also incase of MAINTENANCE, cant we just wrapped the cut out colours instead of cutting?

      The cable arrangement is a world standard so that if another technician is to trace fault on your installation, there won't be difficulty, even yourself, you may forget your cable pairs used if you dont go by the internationally accepted standard.

    Which socket do you use?

    It’s a 6way modular plug so how did you fit in the 4 cables, u didn’t explain which lines u put the 4 wires before crimping.
    Also why didn’t you use 2 wires or 1 pair and you used 4wires/2pair?

      1. I used a 4 pin rj 11 in this video, not a 6 pin
      2. A standard telephone wire contains 2 tips and 2 rings of cable to be able to support any kind of handset, eg consoles and key telephone.

      1. I used an rj 11 plugs which has 4 pins. It is rj 12 modular plugs that come with 6 pins.
      2. A standard telephone system uses 2 tips and 2 ring cablings to enable the use of consoles and key telephones without the need for re-wiring. A single pair wiring works for the use of single line telephone systems.

      @@Tech_Inside_Out so I can wire 2 pair to reception which will be multi line telephone, and do 1 pair (e.g blue/white and blue) for all guestrooms for single line tel.

      @@Tech_Inside_Out I ordered a landline L019-3 on Jumia but when I came home I found out that it doesn’t use SIM card nor does it use charger but it cable is similar to yours but I don’t have that kind of plug that’s why I was asking if I could use android charger to replace that cable

      @Tech_Inside_Out  Год назад

      @Surutu4693 You cannot power it from an Android charger.
      Phones are powered from the RJ-11 plug.

      Yes, it is needed when you are transferring some extensions to another location to be further distributed to many other locations. I will try and do a video to explain its use further
