This is a very interesting story of how your life has gone and your art has developed through it. I didn’t realise you’d done so much digital art and other mediums before, and it’s lovely to see so much of your artwork and your travel photos. Letting go of what isn’t working anymore can be such a key thing and hard to do even if you realise it. I’ve aspired to do digital art as I’ve seen such good work, but I’ve had a much easier time on paper both with drawing and painting, just able to do it rather than struggle trying to get it right, and then also to let go of getting it done as neatly or ‘well’ as other watercolour artists. I love your work, but I make more of a mess and that can look good too, just different.

This is a remarkable journey. I felt so drawn to what you were saying. We have to go down these rabbit holes over and over to find the right fit for each one of us, our unique talents, energy and expression. I am so inspired by this video, my journey has been a very mixed one and I am still finding my voice. But I know after seeing your story that my path is not impossible and I will arrive at myself and my own way of telling my story through art. Thank you so much for this very inspiring video.

Thank you for sharing this video, this was helpful and inspiring! Your art is wonderful 🤗 I think it’s a huge struggle for creatives to focus in on one thing/style but to also know when to explore… it’s definitely a balancing act. Struggling right now with focusing on one thing, I love creating various things in many mediums. Ah so hard to choose. You are a lovely soul, keeping posting videos, would love to see more from you 💗

Hey, great video! A little bit about how I'm discovering art, my mom actually got gifted an acrylic set for her birthday by her sister and I knew she wouldn't do it on her own so I offered for us to do an art thing together, we have never done this (never been really close) and I wanted to try watercolor instead of acrylic (cheaper, more forgiving unless one overworks, beautiful, ECT) and I'm discovering that this is really my medium, I've never really been a person to gravitate towards visual arts I'm an engineer, this is a crazy beautiful exp that I'm so grateful I'm opening myself up to.

I regret that i stop my drawing interest back when i was in junior high school, and never draw since then. Until i found that i think i suppose to keep doing what i like to do. In this 2 months im getting back to my track drawing. Of course i have to learn from the first place again. But im getting use to it. and i wish i can become an artist like you do. Draw whatever i like.... tumbs up

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It is quite helpful for me, because I decided to become an illustrator. I'm a grafik designer, studyed art history and heritage management, but all the ways lead back to drawing. I love to scrapbook, but more I love to design own stamp motives and such things. But my heart belongs to fantasy. It is there, every day in some way. I also write and sometimes I don't know where to put my creativity and where to start. This is the reason why I watch such videos as yours to inspire me and ask myself, what I want to do the rest of my life. Drawing, Painting and Writing my own book. Clear answer right now. Currently I'm working halfday to have some security, while I pack my things to go all the way to become an illustrator ;) So thanks for your videos. I love your art and I love watercolor. But also digital paintings ... Always these decisions... ;) Greetings from Germany

I was trying so many different art things during my life..from designing and sewing clothes for dolls as a child,to designing and creating polymer clay beads, sewing clothes, knitting, designing, constructing and sewing art dolls, drawing, painting, ink, watercolor, acrylics, abstract flow art including, trying so many different mediums.. Everytime I thought: THAT IS IT!! and after some time it turned out-it is not... I took drawing and watercolor classes..line art was always deep in my mind..but my question is: is that NORMAL??? So many years of developing and influencing my art part of mind(some -economic university years-killed my time for art unfortunatelly) and I am still not sure if that what I represent now-is my style... or maybe it will stay like this... leaving me unsure forever;( Big greetings to you,Naomi.. I love listening how you speak:)

I resonated a lot with this video because you talk about concept art detail painting versus the more simplified and calming watercolor. I'm tied right now between the detailed concept art and simpler style too, I do both, so this was really inspiring to see somebody with the same situation c':

Its almost become a cycle I think! At the moment I'm enjoying the darker more muted use of watercolour, its a magical medium! ;)

This is such a great video! I love how you take us on this journey you went through! I have been refining my style for years and your comment about honing in on one thing to save up your energy to really do that thing well really resonates with me. I enjoy lots of mediums and styles and expression and that variety doesn't always bode well for quickly refining aspects of my artist abilities and capabilities. Beautiful work and outlook 💕

Thanks for sharing this beautiful video, i love the gradual music added in. I am on a journey to get back into drawing too and love watercolouring too.. i guess the thing here is not know where the journey will take you and whether it's was a waste of time and materials when the final piece is not what you expect.. also comparing too much can be depressing too. But to learn it's true we need to take the first steps.. catch 22 really!

Really nice video! And I love the message that your style has not been forced, but that it was an exploration. I had a question about your sketches and paintings when you are travelling. How do you incorporate it? I always take a sketchbook with me, but when we are out I feel burdened? Like I don't want other people to have to wait for me while I do my art. So I never end up really using the art supplies I bring with me, while it is such a good opportunity.
