I drove mine (HJ75 1989) on the road for the first time in 12years last week. We've been using it on the farm and in December 2018 I decided to do it up as a bit of a side project - which escalated. Ended up stripping the body back, fixing all the rust, I resprayed it, whacked new rubbers in changed the fluids, and away it goes! Clean rig you got there!
Yes it certainly doesn’t take much to end up doing a lot more than planned ahah it’s alway a bit of well while I have this apart I may aswell do that part 🤣 i have had to put this build on hold for a bit cause of doing a mates car but going to be getting back in to it in a couple of weeks the there is going to be some more vid soon! Cheers
I own a 1989 HJ75 as well. She hasn't been on the road since 2006. I was looking through the old back paddocks, and noticed a car underneath the cover. Pulled back the cover and there she was. That's where my love for 4WD came along. Needs some work, nothing too serious but hopefully I'll have it on the road by Christmas.
Will be getting another vid this weekend of building the tray for it, and some stuff I have bought for it, jump on Insta and follow for a bit more updates 👍👍 Rippa perform
I’m looking for a idler pully tensioner and I just have to make up a couple of lines. If I can find a tentioner before I do the engine conversion I’ll make the ac work but if not I’ll do the ac when the new engine goes in 👍
Na I already made a couple of changes to it, starting with the tray and bull bar. Make sure you subscribe so u can watch it change 👌👌 ally radiator is goin when I make the big change
@@rippa75cruiser I'm jealous mine's from 1998 1HZ j 75 but poor things had a very hard life still runs very well just need coin to spend fix a couple of things I love the dual cab utes now but heard horror story's about running gear
Yea I work with them nearly every day so the new ones have their good and bads I guess like any car just depends on how much money you have to make them better than what they come out of the factory with. The engine and gear box will be up for sale in a few months as I’m going cummins. I have done a couple of swaps with them already and they are a far better engine with so much more potential. Check out my Instagram page as there is a photo of a conversion I did a while ago 👍

You made a wise decision to choose Toyota Land Cruiser- Durable, powerful and low in maintenance
Upload more of your HJ75 Land cruiser. I am planning to buy one too
