Hemi 6 swaped xf falcon Ute. For sale (gumtree qld)
What were u sleeping in? Just a swag?
hey mate in wa youd get yellow stickrd for having no mudguards on the rear, dunno what the rules r for ya but yeah. dont want that beaut getting pulled of the road
Hey mate 2 questions. Is it a GU or a gq front diff and do you think it's possible to do with both gu diffs front and rear. Cheers great vid
So it’s a gq front, just went with that as it was far cheaper option for the budget compared to a complete gu diff. Can definitely do both gu diff but just have to figure out what your going to do handbrake wise with patrols having the transfer case hand brake and cruisers having diff handbrake. Option would then be to do patrol box and transfer swap or go with an 80 105 or 79 box and transfer and go with the electric handbrake kit on the back of the transfer.
What did you do with your old leaf suspension?
sold them with the old diffs 👍
This is sick 🤌 are you getting engineered or not going to bother?
Yes will definitely be getting it engineered but just have to get it all finished/make any changes needed still before going through the engineering process.
@@rippa75cruiser ah yes yes fuck yeh man love ya work I’ve been wanting to put patrol diffs under mine for ages
@@rhodesobrien7935 just get all your parts bit by bit and give it a crack man!!
Keen to see the front
Reckon it’s possible to do the rear in a weekend with 80 parts?
Yea it should be achievable. Just need to probably put a extra crossmember in for the top arms to mount to being that they are fairly short but the majority of it was quite easy. But don’t rush it, take 1000 measurements cause it’ll be a pain to cut things back off to move again.
now subscribed 🤟
Index your plugs 👍🏻💯🇦🇺⛽️
How hard was it to put the hemi 6 in i have a 265 hemi and a spare xf and this seems like a good setup
Very easy, so both valiant and falcon have the same bw 35 trans, just a different tail section for speedo and tail shaft but they can be swapped between. The bell housing for the 265 is different to the falcon x flow aswell so you need a valiant trans and just use the falcon tail section. This will also allow the box to be bolted up back in the exact same position. Engine mounts, I ran a box section forward from the existing falcon engine mount which bolted with flat plate to the falcon mount. then forward to the front x member because the engine mount position is about 200mm forward of where the falcons mounts were and then I just made the mounts for the hemi to the box section using hemi engine mounts. I used the falcon power steering pump and alternator and just made brackets to suit. Falcon radiator and then just ran thermo fans. It’s a tight squeeze between water pump pully and radiator but it’s enough to work. If you need any further info just let me know but it’s a very simple swap and I had it done in about a 4 days
@@rippa75cruiser cheers do you have a photo of the engine mount setup
@@alexwillcocks2544 unfortunately no photos but I have a video that you can see a bit of the engine mount so jump on to my Instagram and send a message and I’ll send through the video for you rippa_performance
The note from this cruiser is insane. What are you running on it?
I had a straight through 2.5inch off the back of the denco turbo and dumped just behind the cab, now it’s a 3inch with a hotdog muffler a more open dump pipe off the back of the turbo for better flow. Still dumped just behind the cab. Will be doing more videos soon updating where I’m at and what’s next on it. Check out the Instagram page rippa_performance for more frequent updates
What engine is that? My hj75 has a 2H diesel.
1hz so this one is a hzj75 and 1991

Nice rig like it.👍
Hey how much did you buys her for
I bought it over a year ago for $11k
I drove mine (HJ75 1989) on the road for the first time in 12years last week. We've been using it on the farm and in December 2018 I decided to do it up as a bit of a side project - which escalated. Ended up stripping the body back, fixing all the rust, I resprayed it, whacked new rubbers in changed the fluids, and away it goes! Clean rig you got there!
Yes it certainly doesn’t take much to end up doing a lot more than planned ahah it’s alway a bit of well while I have this apart I may aswell do that part 🤣 i have had to put this build on hold for a bit cause of doing a mates car but going to be getting back in to it in a couple of weeks the there is going to be some more vid soon! Cheers
@@rippa75cruiser Yeah, you're not wrong! Cheers
I own a 1989 HJ75 as well. She hasn't been on the road since 2006. I was looking through the old back paddocks, and noticed a car underneath the cover. Pulled back the cover and there she was. That's where my love for 4WD came along. Needs some work, nothing too serious but hopefully I'll have it on the road by Christmas.
@@xxaussiegamerxx5071 Bloody oath mate! Get stuck into it! The old girl puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Good old tilly!
When u putting the AC in ?
I’m looking for a idler pully tensioner and I just have to make up a couple of lines. If I can find a tentioner before I do the engine conversion I’ll make the ac work but if not I’ll do the ac when the new engine goes in 👍
You made a wise decision to choose Toyota Land Cruiser- Durable, powerful and low in maintenance
Upload more of your HJ75 Land cruiser. I am planning to buy one too
Will be getting another vid this weekend of building the tray for it, and some stuff I have bought for it, jump on Insta and follow for a bit more updates 👍👍 Rippa perform
Any videos of this driving mate?
One of the best
Come and see me in 22 years it will look exactly the same get rid of the aluminium radiator
Na I already made a couple of changes to it, starting with the tray and bull bar. Make sure you subscribe so u can watch it change 👌👌 ally radiator is goin when I make the big change
@@rippa75cruiser I'm jealous mine's from 1998 1HZ j 75 but poor things had a very hard life still runs very well just need coin to spend fix a couple of things I love the dual cab utes now but heard horror story's about running gear
Yea I work with them nearly every day so the new ones have their good and bads I guess like any car just depends on how much money you have to make them better than what they come out of the factory with. The engine and gear box will be up for sale in a few months as I’m going cummins. I have done a couple of swaps with them already and they are a far better engine with so much more potential. Check out my Instagram page as there is a photo of a conversion I did a while ago 👍

I had centuras manual sixes good low down grunt which my bf ute lacks. I considered maybe putting a 265 with a holley throttle body into it , we have a hz ute maybe even that i guess..
sounded like a v8 when you first started it,bet she screams
Wow what an interesting combination. I’m 61 and have owned valiant chargers since I was 17. How does it go ? I bet it goes like a rocket.
Not too bad, it’s still low compression so little boggy down low but certainly screams when the cam kicks in 👍
I guess im asking randomly but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my password. I would love any tricks you can give me.

@Kaiser Grady i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
