  • Cystoscopy, or cystourethroscopy, is usually a quick, 45-second procedure that enables our urologists to view the inside of the bladder and urethra. It is commonly used to diagnose bladder tumors, identify obstruction of the bladder and look for any abnormalities of the bladder and its lining. This allows for optimum evaluation of your condition, leading to the right diagnosis and treatment.
Austin Urology Institute has invested in the latest technology available in Austin, with flexible, fiberoptic, and camera based systems to make sure that nothing is overlooked. The procedure is usually performed as an outpatient procedure in one of our Austin-area urology clinics.

Thanks for admitting that it is somewhat painful. But, you should mention that the pain will be much worse for a guy with BPH, or some similar issue.
