I think he got what he REALLY needed from their relationship through the marriage of their parents. He needed that sense of place and belonging.
But I have to agree I would have liked to see him find his own love interest, though realistically I can't imagine him being emotionally fit for a serious relationship with a woman for a few more years...
His feeling for Jianjian is definitely just pure platonic.
He only wants to be the same house register with her and their dad, hence the marriage proposal.
And at the end he got what he really wanted and needed: a complete family where he belongs.
I believe after the ending, he will gradually develop his own love life since his emotional baggage is more or less settled with this ending. He will be happy for sure, no need to be pitied.
Jin-jin's friend liked him. He was only interested in being secured in a loving home. You could tell even when he was a child that Jin-jin was his saviour. It's weird how she is almost ten years older then the oldest brother. The youngest brother is four years older then the oldest brother. Did they make him the oldest because he is the tallest?
Ziqui and his mom look so much alike. She is a beautiful woman.
I loved seeing her, now I will miss her story. I need to see the wedding of the protagonists, but if you doubt a good ending. Thank you for keeping us up to date on the series.
