LOVE getting actual advice and not feeling like I'm about to hear the good old "oh and please buy my bullshit course for 500 dollars" people like you give me encouragement because you are living proof that this is a thing that people can do. all the scammy "buy my course and spend the rest of your life earning a bazillion dollars a second living on a beach" types can actually make me feel discouraged because if a scammy person says I can do it, the thought that next comes to my mind is "if YOU, a scammer, say so then I probably can't" thank you for all these great videos. keep it up!
Facts. I totally get it because some places around the world have a small cost of living so they can be all "LIVE ON THE BEACH AND MAKE MONEY" because their expenses are like $300 a month. They always seem to forget that part. My rage for those scammers is endless.
Hi, Jackie, this is really awesome you are filming so close to the heart. don't misread but I feel that I have known you before. But it couldn’t be bcz I am way too far from your region and way different cultures .but the way you are it is just amazing, I believe that it could be your personality and it is way similar to me i guess though! I mean I am just seeing you on filming in youtube but how I feel you. It is just so brutal, honest you are and so affectionate.it is so grateful that people like you still exist, thank you so much! You are doing a great job for people who are looking to grow their writing skills. Ha, so much to say, wish you all the best! And go go go go more further.
I think i am in love with your style of making these in depth videos. Especially the fact that you are not trying hard to sell something and this is more or like informational in nature. And if at all you ever bring out your course i think i will feel much more inclined to take it. I am also taking cues that if i am really moved by your content as opposed to someone else's in the copywriting world i believe this should be my strategy if at all i decide to make some content in future. Thanks a lot for these extremely helpful videos you make which too be honest is the meatiest ( i dunno if that's really a word ) content i can find on youtube about copywriting. Keep up with the good work Jackie.
Thank you for all the great information. You present everything in a way that makes it easily accessible to those of us who have no previous copywriting knowledge. After watching multiple videos that are nothing more than a sales pitch for an overpriced copywriting "system," it's very refreshing to find someone so down to earth and honest. You're a joy to watch, and your content is extremely helpful. Again, thank you for all you do.

Jackie Pearce can I ask you a question tho??? Would it be possible for someone to learn from RUclips channels and reading books about copywriting and just doing lots of research to get into copy writing without having to apply for a job and learning from a mentor... would it be possible to start as a freelance copywriter???
I'd definitely say so. It might take a lot longer, but it's absolutely possible. The most important thing is getting out there and getting clients/real world experience.
Jackie Pearce thx Jackie... I think I’m gonna try and wing it... if I can’t go anywhere, I’ll definitely just try and find a company to work for... I been trying to get out there with some business but, nobody won’t hire it seems like...
I like your honesty thank you so much. I fell for those copywriters before and lost over $12,000 for people to write, and edit a book that I never sold or promoted. I lost soooo much money.
Great content and this video is just spot-on! I love that you infuse your personality into the videos! Is this something you do in your sales pages and landing pages/websites for clients as well?
Great question! Generally, yes. A lot of my clients hire me due to them liking my writing "voice", but I work really hard to make sure the clients' voice comes through on the copy. But, generally, my enthusiasm is something that clients want in their own copy. :)
It really depends! If the client wants a voice-focused type of copy, I usually don't let editors near it because they'll make it too formal (for the most part). With more professional/formal clients usually I'l bring an editor on to polish it up depending on how big the project is.
Hi Jackie! First I want to say that I LOVE your videos - you are so real and relatable. I was considering copywriting after seeing an ad on Instagram offering a "free" course from someone who also seemed relatable (ya know, one of the ones with a beach in the background promising a free and better life) and was really disappointed when it turned out to be kind of scam-y. Based on that, I thought I could never be one of those scammy people that all copywriters must be, but thankfully I found you! :) Anyhoo, my question is probably a dumb one, but here goes: do you ever take part in any of the design on the web? For some reason I assumed design would also be involved, so I was wondering where the explanation of how to, like, take the helm of the web page(s) was in all the stuff I was reading/watching. But now I'm sort of getting that that is not the case - do you basically send off a doc with the copy and then your client fits it into an existing site? It seems like design and copy need to complement each other - does that have any bearing on the copy you create? I just read something about "wireframes" that copywriters might use. Your thoughts would be awesome. Thanks so much!
YAY I'm so glad some slimeball didn't turn you away from copywriting completely! There are so many of them out there which is such a shame because it can be such a fun job. Not a dumb question at all! I, personally, never took the time to learn web design. I might one day, but it just doesn't interest me. For a bit, I teamed up with a designer and we'd put things together, but for the most part I just send the copy over in a word document to clients. Sometimes they have a general outline of a website already done with filler copy so I can get a ballpark of what I need to fit in, and sometimes they do the copy first and find a designer after. It really depends on the client and where they're at with their business. Wireframes can help! Most clients don't use them unless they're much bigger companies and are serious about their content/UX. I don't deal with them too often because I work with smaller companies (too much red tape, meetings, and paperwork with big companies - which is too much of a headache). However, I try my best to be clear with the client on why I structured things certain ways so they know how to put it together. :)

You seem to know what you are talking about, but I can't grasp that 10-cents-a-word-profitable-copywriting. Maybe not all of them are actually selling products but they are altogether a narrative designed to sell. That makes 1500 words that are finely crafted for maximum impact. I am not even going to talk about the time it could possibly take (maybe not much but also maybe a lot) to write the best possible words and find a good angle for the sales, but that makes 150$, for five 300 words finely crafted emails aimed at making money? Is this right? Maybe my notions are wrong about a few things. Please correct me or tell me what I am missing but this does not seem like a good pay day.
