Helpful video. Just right at the time when I needed it. Also, for me, the biggest problem with starting out on copywriting is analysis paralysis problem where you take on so much information and then try to analyse to come up with a sound decision, but all you end up is in a sea of confusing thoughts.
Hi I started with AWI for copy writing last year and still haven’t gotten anywhere. I did learn there is no formal training for copy writing. You have to find someone already in it to reach you or trust someone like Alex or the this Asian guy I also found on RUclips. I pray and hope between the both of them I will get the training I need to become a copy writer... I wish all of you the best of luck😍
Thanks, Alex, good vid. I have a ton of sales experience, but I've never done copywriting. I think my 15+ years of sales, experience. Would probably help me to become a really excellent copywriter. I guess, is a muscle. Now that I have the sales down packed, is time to learn a new skill. Hopefully, the learning curve is not to long.
We are on the same page. I have 8 years sales experience and I want to develop a new skill, which is copywriting. I have a passion in writing however I don't know where to start and what is the best niche for me.

Hi, posse group!! Alex, I have been thinking about freelancing for a WHILE now, I am ready to pursue copywriting. A little about me, I love writing and I am still trying to improve it. I am really interested in copywriting and funny enough, I was planning to take the LSAT this month and start law school but realized I don't want to do so. Anyways here are some of my questions. 1. What are some quality courses that are either free or budget-friendly 2. Where do I start when it comes to self-studying? 3. How do I narrow down my interests to find my niche Anyways!! So wonderful to be part of this group, if anyone has any resources feel free to share with me and help a girl out. Thanks again 🥳
hey Tara! Happy to hear you're thinking about freelancing :) 1. your question on courses - I have a video where I go over the top 5 I would recommend. I'll link at the bottom here. 2. When it comes to self-study - figure out how you learn best. Is it reading? Is it video content? There are literally TONS of amazing books out there and TONS of free video content to get you started. 3. I also have a video on picking your niche that you can find if you search for it. But what it basically comes down to is: make a list of your interests. Decided what you love so much that you can literally write about it everyday, and then just give it a go! You can change your niche anytime you want, so don't feel like you have to get it perfect. Video on course recos: ruclips.net/video/VlBrBKvCoWo/видео.html

I doubt any beginer would be able to start writing with efficiency after watching this. Yet, I'm not here to criticize, so I salute this project and I subscribed. I'm pretty sure u gonna help a lot of ppl by doing this more specific. Empathy and creativity are vague terms. I saw ppl, copywriters, struggling themselves to get to a decent result in communication just because they thought they have to be creative or overcreative. Anyway, I'm old and dumb, but Im still able to answer some begginers questions about conceptual thinking and communication basics. So feel free. BTW Steps nr 5 and 6 are great. Most important without any doubt. Keep on working on it, no matter as stupid or senseless it seems sometimes.

Aw!! Thanks so much.
Just found your channel- new sub. I am going through your videos now to learn as much as I can. Very eager to get moving in this! Thank you
AW thanks so much Sattice!
Alex... This video is what I have been looking for a long time. I'm so glad I found it :) I took a course on copywriting and I knew this is how I would want to make a living. Merry Everything and a Happy Always from Romania.
Yay! Welcome!
getting into discipline is so important for newbies
U make really awesome content keep going never stop
Thanks for the love! :)
Helpful video. Just right at the time when I needed it. Also, for me, the biggest problem with starting out on copywriting is analysis paralysis problem where you take on so much information and then try to analyse to come up with a sound decision, but all you end up is in a sea of confusing thoughts.
Any insights to solve this ?
I’m “eating” all your videos😂😂
Hi I started with AWI for copy writing last year and still haven’t gotten anywhere. I did learn there is no formal training for copy writing. You have to find someone already in it to reach you or trust someone like Alex or the this Asian guy I also found on RUclips. I pray and hope between the both of them I will get the training I need to become a copy writer... I wish all of you the best of luck😍
Dude step number 3 was very nice to hear!
Amazinggggg! Yes, that's a great skill!
We are on the same page. I have 8 years sales experience and I want to develop a new skill, which is copywriting. I have a passion in writing however I don't know where to start and what is the best niche for me.
Thank you Alex, very insightful and helpful and Im looking forward to be a copywriter
Awesome!! Glad to help :)
I've been looking for a mentor like you.
For me, this is the most comprehensive video on copywriting business I have ever watched.
The no 1 challenge is if I did write a piece of content before, can I learn and take me steps towards success in this business?
I am a huge fan of working online. So I need first to learn the basics that sell.
Thanks,
Happy to hear that! Thank you!
I am very new to this copywriting world. Zero skill, zero experience, even my English is bad and only rely on knowledge from the internet and RUclips. But I am ready to dive into this world. Of all the videos on RUclips, I will use this channel as my guide. I hope I am lucky and successful, and I will return to give testimony here LOL.
Great video, Godbless.
Best of luck and thanks for watching!!
Hi-Five from Pakistan! You are really helpful :)
1. What are some quality courses that are either free or budget-friendly
2. Where do I start when it comes to self-studying?
3. How do I narrow down my interests to find my niche
Anyways!! So wonderful to be part of this group, if anyone has any resources feel free to share with me and help a girl out.
Thanks again 🥳
hey Tara! Happy to hear you're thinking about freelancing :)
1. your question on courses - I have a video where I go over the top 5 I would recommend.

I'm in Nigeria and I'm terrified about starting out at copywriting because there are just so many "copywriters" who are extremely good. I really love story telling and writing but I'm sorely afraid
I hear you. But trust me, there is more than enough for everyone. i don't care how many good copywriters are out there... we can always use more of them :)
Study
Get clear on what you offer
Identity who you serve
Write a self sales pitch
Build your own portfolio
Find clients
Thank you ma'am
From Nigeria
I like how you came up with a new word, a mix of submerged and immersed! lol
Great introductory video!
Loved the broad-brushstroke tips, and how you gave some clear specifics.
After thinking on the material for a bit, I think I've found my hot niche, too.
Appreciate your confident "push in the right direction" 👍🏻
Thanks so much, Dacre!
I love your energy
Thanks!!
Hey Alex, hope you’re well. This has been on my mind a lot. I’m a mom to 5 kids, and think this might be the way to go. I do love writing and learning, so I’ll give it a shot. It will take time, but here’s to the future and your advice. Thanks 🙏 ❤️
You go girl!
As a teacher,I know whatever you study - you are the "best student" to be able to give that to your kids!
Thanks for saying this because everything takes some innate talent coupled with conventional structured education, and hard work and practice. You just can't wish it into existence!
Thank you for always upgrading me since 2019
Gain great knowledge by the most beautiful youtuber i ever see..❤️

New African Money lol this always cracks me up.
I am stuck on finding my hot niche... i never tought it would be so hard to understand myself lol

"How to become a freelance copywriter"
*spends first five minutes of video using sales copy tactics before actually explaining how*
Watches full video of free content then complains about free content.
@@AlexCattoni hey I wasn't complaining it was quality sales copy in action
@@mikehamm7256 lol thanks :)
@@AlexCattoni Fair point, but let me offer this as a rebuttal. My electricity isn't free, my data isn't free.
I can make about $30/hr from other side hustles. That means that my time isn't free, as every minute I spend on your videos, whether I learn something or not, is $0.50 I missed elsewhere.
I was looking to expand and diversify my income, but you send me to other videos that could just redirect me to even more of your videos.
@@trenvert123 LOL. Ok hunny. I'll send you 0.50. You obviously need it.
keel aside copywriting, tell me how to develop charm like you. It's not just about your looks, I 'm talking about the whole video presentation.
Agreed
So happy I stumbled across your channel!!!! So helpful
YAY! Me too :)
That smile energizes for real!
What does it look like when you submit something in a document? is it just a plain word document or is it jazzed up with graphics and different things? (Florida)
Great question!! Its just a plain ol Google Drive document. I’ll make headlines bigger and add holding, but no graphics.
Alex Cattoni thank you for the reply that makes me feel a little more at ease as a total novice. Also I would like to complement you on your excellent public speaking, clear audio, and great lighting. Good job on your videos, you really put thought into them.

Spec ads are great for someone starting out. Easy way to create a portfolio.
I m going to be a legend
I would recommend reading book on David Ogilvy if you have any interest in copywriting.
Cool!
I've been an awarded copywriter and creative director for 15 yrs or so.( Last 10 yrs I had more fun doing something else than writing.) But I have no ideea how can I became a freelance copywriter. Thought I will find the answer here, cause I still wanna write some headlines for glory. But I'm more confused than ever.
Hey there! Yup, this video is more targeted for those with a general interest :) I think if you browse through my other videos you'll see much more targeted topics and lessons! Thanks for being here. (I highly doubt you are dumb ;)
Your video is a testimonial of how goof of a copywriter you have really nailed this skill would be looking forward for your course
