I think that'd be a really cool, interesting niche. I imagine it's not the most tapped into niche but possibly in the medical/ lifestyle fields you might find work. It would also be a great niche to create a personal blog on, as I think people could learn a lot from discussions and maybe interviews with disabled individuals.

@@wheelsnwarriors7166 OMGOSH! You are NOT too old to go to law school!!! NO! NO! NO! If you have even an inkling for law, at least investigate it! TALK to other disability lawyers! Talk to lawyers in general! I've come to believe that there are more hidden opportunities in law than people generally realize!
In 2019, on a contract job, I met a woman in her 50s or 60s who just graduated from law school. I learned a lot from her about the value of just knowing the law in terms of workplace rights! To be totally honest, If more people could acquire a legal education, by the time they were 18, there would probably be WAAAAY less victmization, because they/we would know how the system works and how to use it to our advantage!
I have an intuitive feeling that a big, relatively unknown secret is that you DON'T have to go to a super-prestigious law school to get a good job or to be effective! Humble beginnings can lead to good opportunities! On the other hand, it does NOT hurt to investigate programs at BIG-NAME law schools to see what special classes of people they are trying to attract. If you meet the criteria, they may pay for your education!
Big tip: learning the basics of LATIN will be a LIFETIME advantage for anyone interested in the legal world, and will greatly enhance the analytical part of your brain! It's not as overwhelming as people think it is. Cambridge Latin is taught in better elementary schools beginning in 6th grade. I've heard of children starting as young as FIRST grade! In a couple of years with 20 to 30 minutes a day of study, you could be much further along than you realize, and then you'll have the knowledge for the rest of your life!
Here is a great link for WHY studying Latin is a GREAT idea!:

What are your rates? You can't expect professional compensation until you've established a reputation on a platform. Gotta take a few small jobs to get the ball rolling. I can find plenty of work at what I'd consider decent rates, but I'm still learning as a writer so things take me awhile.
edit: although take my advice with a grain of sale. I don't know anything compared to the dude in these videos.

First off, thanks for the comment Sarah! Appreciate it. When it comes to starting freelance writing it can often be less about how good of a writer you are, and knowing the right places and right ways to pitch your work. Let me see if I can provide some resources.
First off, the six figures comment was about my second in command at LR, Liz. You can learn more about that here: ruclips.net/video/rS_WE53vuHA/видео.html
Second, it's hard for ANY writer to get work via Upwork. Try one of these 5 places instead: ruclips.net/video/hNrYUR9xKqo/видео.html
Finally, it could be in how you're approaching the work and business as a whole. Watch this: ruclips.net/video/JYZR03K5X90/видео.html
Let me know if that helps! And to get really granular and get personal help, there's always the Academy www.locationrebel.com/join

@@MsSarahbanana Me! Writing isn't my main gig anymore, but in the past I've made six figures/year with writing. And I still make more with writing on the side than I did in my last day job 8 years ago. In my experience, it's REALLY hard to make money by applying to job postings, like on Upwork. You're competing against all the other applicants so you're a commodity, and the job post-er is in the driver's seat. You have to approach businesses and offer results, and your writing is merely the vehicle to accomplishing those results. Do this and it puts YOU in the driver's seat. Then you can charge much more. I know Sean goes way deeper into this in the Academy, especially about sending cold emails.

It's kind of meta. Similar to writing a book called "how I made $10,000 selling books". You make money by teaching people how to make money. Lots of big freelancers eventually turn to teaching/blogging about HOW to freelance.
