These tables look amazing. Yeah an hour set up is a long time but it looks worth it. I love the glass, posters and clumps of scatter terrain It just looks so realistic
Hi there, great wargaming board! Thanks for the explanations of how to make this kind of scenery. One thing i cannot find in your videos, is where you get the overhanging roadsigns from.
Haha actually didnt do anything. Its just painted on the roof but since the roof is a bity shiny and with the low camera angle you didnt saw it earlier but if you see the building from a top view. You can clearly see the marking ^^
That is awesome 🤘🏻i love the details. Thank you for the Inspiration for my Gamingboard. Are the Police Cars from greenlight? Viele Grüße aus Deutschland 🙂
Maybe I'm just weird, but I find it hilarious that all of the details were US inspired. The mail box was the first thing that caught my attention, then I realized it was pretty much all US based. We need to get you some French or at least EU based details. :)
@@funwithmadness well the table was inspired by the video game top clancy the division which is set in new york city ^^. I dont have any scenarios planned in France ^^
have you ever thought of making a cinematic scenario, where one round of spec ops looks like a mini movie, maybe with the rolls being showed as hit marks(kinda like hit marks from the call of duty games but dice number) if that makes sense...? IMPRESSIVE
I understand what you mean but I dont have the skills to out that together unfortunately I'm afraid. Recording this and translating is already really time consuming but doing all the post production stuff.. i wont even know how to start
I'm honestly not sure. My first project was set in the middle east and use a battle mat. I'll post some images on Facebook later this week as I took it out actually this weekend after filming my battle report, didn't saw it for quite a long time and it was great to see it with some of the Dark Winter props. I guess it's easier to move minis around on a mat. You can also have more flexibility if you have some random road instead of stick to the grid I have for Dark Winter. The main problem for me is that it doesn't look that much realistic and with my current lightiung settup I saw a lot of light reflection. I'm still not sure how I'm going to do my next board in the tarkov universe.
@@TheSoloWargamer I've been picking up Deep Cut Studio mats recently - especially those with a neoprene mouse-mat construction. I try not to get any that have 'macro' terrain features but otherwise provide good surface texture to the game space. Then I build on that foundation with major and scatter terrain to complete the table. While a simple colored drop cloth will do, a good mat really adds visual depth.
I also have a mat from deepcut but in pvc. Will definitely take a mouse-mat next time. Primarch Echs, do you have some pictures of your board with your mat I can see somewhere?
Damn I am feeling sick!!!! stop moving your camera around like that man, it is a shame as I am so interested in what you have done but I can't watch your video for more than a minute or two before I am feeling sick... but having said that your terrain is amazing!
I understand your perspective, but I appreciate the movement. The changing perspectives allow me to see the scale more accurately than a fixed angle would. Mel the Terrain Tutor already has a similar board build video with a fixed camera for those that get motion sickness. I think this is original and great!
I continue to return to this video for ideas and inspiration. The board is lovely and versatile. Merci beaucoup!
Thanks a lot mate :)

That is beyond impressive. I spent many hours roaming through The Division, you have definitely captured the essence of it. Great work!
Thanks a lot :D the only thing missing is the snow / puddles but for gameplay reason I decided to go on the summer / autumn look :)
I wonder why didnt i saw this video before! Just a wonderful and very detailed work 👏🏻
Thanks mate !!

Incredible work dude
Thanks a lot mate :)
Great tips for making a better wargaming terrain. Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure :)
You answered ten of my questions in one video. Thank you very much.
Hahaha :) doesnt hesitate to ask if you have more ;)
Wow! I'm impressed with your artistry!
Thanks a lot! :)
This community helped me a lot!
This is just lovely stuff, man. congratulations! Definately looking forward to whatver your plan on doing next!

Thanks a lot! I think I got it from sarissa precision but under the 20mm range for gasland.
Beautiful work!
Thanks !!
I really appreciate this vid!
Thanks :D
Some really nice ideas...the traffic bridges (holding signs) are custom built?
AH damn, forget to talk about that one. It's from sarissa for gasland in the 20mm range but it work perfectly here in 28mm
very nice! wish I had the money, time, space and patience to make this!
that indeed require a bit of all of that ^^

thanks a lot! these kind of comments always keep me motivated to do more! The cars are 1/43 diecast from ebay mostly.
Great table! Thanks for sharing with us. What games do you like to play on that table?
Thanks a lot! I'm playing Spectre Operations :)
Best tip: Find a girlfriend that helps/likes your toys.
Love it...did you 3d print the mailbox and newspaper stands?
Rhese were from antenocitis workshop but unfortunately they closed their store earlier this year :(

est-ce que tu vas également faire le video en francais ?
cette video existe aussi en français ;) mais non je n'en fait plus en francais maintenant, seulement en anglais.
1:57 help?
The building was design for my pandemic campaign operation dark winter ;)
What scale are your cars and where did you pick them up at?
Cars are 1:43 diecast mostly from ebay or just my local store in the toys area
what kind of paste did you use for the newspapers and posters?
Tiny bit of superglue
How do you feel about battle mats?
I'm honestly not sure.

Quel est la dimension des édifices ? 28mm ? 32mm
Its for 28 to 35. The city block are from tt combat.
@@TheSoloWargamer merci de prendre le temps de me répondre c'est vraiment très apprécié!! Les scatter dices tu les prends à quel endroit svp ?
very cool, you definitely need a 3D printer. 😉
