Thanks for this video! There are no videos as comprehensive as this and I couldn’t set up the room sensor before I watched your video. Much appreciated Sir!
Hi, does the sensor need a clear line of sight with the sensibo air? can I install it in a completely different room in the house separated by walls so it'll transmit wirelessly to the sensibo? Thanks.
I believe I have an issue with the thermostat in the unit. I set it to 25°C, and the actual room temperature is around ~20°C (I have a thermometer), but after 10 minutes, the unit's thermostat shows the room temperature to be around 30-31°C, and it doesn't provide much or any heat. Essentially, the AC sensor detects a much higher room temperature compared to the actual room temperature. If I use the "IFeel" button on the remote, it displays the correct (real) temperature. I used only the "IFeel" button, but after a while, it goes back to the unit's sensor. Can I use the Sensibo for my problem ?
I believe it can because it’s just done in the software. However, I don’t think sensibo allows that if not there won’t be an appeal to buy their new stuff.
Hi. I have a completely new sensibo air with rom sensor. Rom sensor loosed contact. It worked properly about 8 hours since unpacked. I did not received any Manual and it seems very difficult to check a battery since I do not know how to open the lid to do so. No info about battery replacement on sensor. Do you know anything about that? Thank you very much.
Did you get your sensibo air from sensibo website or from a reseller in MY? I’m in Singapore and I don’t see any resellers that sell the Air in Singapore.
I’m not sure if it works. Try covering the wall thermostat (to block the connection/line of sight to the AC) while trying some functions (on/off). If the functions don’t go through then the Sensibo may be able to work.
Homekit wasn’t available during this time of recording. And it’s still not publicly available. I’m one of the beta testers (invitations sent out way after I finished the video). Functionality is pretty basic on homekit. However, it’s stable and it works.
@@AriffSuffian thanks for the reply Ariff! Actually im looking for a full set of apple homekit system for my new home, does the sensibo air latest firmware supported apple homekit now? would greatly appreciate if you do an episode of apple homekit review about this! thanks!
Likewise, I prefer to have it all homekit. Except for my CCTV and air purifiers. I didn’t have to update the firmware so homekit is already supported. I don’t see a reason why they won’t make it public as the tests seem to be going good. It’s a big task when that happens because they’ll need to be issuing the homekit codes for existing users and maybe changing the packaging a bit for new users.
Hey siri set test ac to on ... I find it sets to Auto/Auto, as opposed to what it was last set at. HomeKit just doesn't seem to give me access to fan speed, and I don't know if that's my fault or not. Hey siri set living ac on set to cool 21 degrees will at least not have it set to auto, but I didn't know if I could set default behaviour better for homekit
Thank you for your video!! I have a question about the function that switch off the Air conditioning. I understood that the is the possibility to set the system for example to turn off the air conditioning after 10 minutes that the sensibo room sensor doesn't detect any movement, but let's say I do go to sleep at 10 pm and wake up at 8 am and so I want the air conditioning on, there is any function to disactivate the sensibo room sensor from 10 pm to 8 am?
Great review, thank you! I already have one SKY at home, also connected via Sensibo API to my home automation system Homematic (for more functionality), and I'm considering another SKY or AIR for other rooms with A/C splits. Bt. how does your 35% discount on SKY work? No matter what I do, I still have a price of $ 99, which is a standard discount for everyone, even without your discount ... :-(
Hello! I love the third party integration capabilities of Sensibo. Using it on my streamdeck is so handy. Anyway, for the discount I believe that the Sensibo discount (when available) will override my discount. I’ll check with their team and update you!
@@AriffSuffian Discount - no no, it's such a permanent game on the part of Sensibo :-( They have a product price set at $ 149, but they basically never sell for it. The almost permanent discount is at 99USD. So if your discount is from the total price (I dare say it does not exist), then it is actually no discount. Unfortunately. It's just a marketing ploy for fools, but that's how Sensibo does it.
It’s rare for anything to be sold at the advertised retail price right?! Haha. I’ve sent them an email to clarify on this. They usually take a day to reply. I’ll update you :)
Great video. Is the air worth it? Compared to the Sky? Also is the motion sensor battery operated? I didn’t see a power cable? What can’t the Sky do the that Air can? Thanks very much for the clarity. ✌🏻
It is, for one major reason, homekit support. This probably only affects Apple users. Besides that, the core functionality is the same. Sure it can be paired with the motion sensor (battery operated) but I don’t see myself creating a trigger for the AC when motion is detected. If you can get an awesome deal on the Sky and don’t need homekit support, then maybe skip the Air.

It needs clear line of sight unfortunately!
I have 4 different slip ac unit in my home do have get for each ac?
Yes unfortunately.

Hello mate ,do you have any idea if this sensor can be"add/attached" to sensibo Sky? that's a different model!! Cheers
I believe it can because it’s just done in the software. However, I don’t think sensibo allows that if not there won’t be an appeal to buy their new stuff.

In this case it’s best to contact the customer support and they can directly check your devices.
@@AriffSuffian thank you. Anyway, do you know how to change battery on sensor? The screw seem to be a different one there.
I actually don’t because I’ve not had to do it so far! Haha.
can we disable heat mode if our AC doesn't support heat?
I don’t think you can disable it but since it’s not a feature on your AC, you can’t enable it anyway.
I never try Sensibo, but I have got Tado. I cannot disable heat mode there. If i accidentally press heat mode, the AC turns off
It should not be a problem with the Sensibo but you can just drop their customer support a message to confirm on it!
Good day,
How many Ac units can control with one sensibo sky?
Unfortunately just one.
Did you get your sensibo air from sensibo website or from a reseller in MY? I’m in Singapore and I don’t see any resellers that sell the Air in Singapore.
I’ve always gotten their stuff direct from them despite there being a reseller here (in Malaysia).
Can you use the same sensor with sensibo sky ?
I don’t think so.
What if i have central AC with wall thermostat how can use these things ?
I’m not sure if it works. Try covering the wall thermostat (to block the connection/line of sight to the AC) while trying some functions (on/off). If the functions don’t go through then the Sensibo may be able to work.
One more question. Is it one Air per a/c”
Yes. Can only control one at a time unfortunately.
@@AriffSuffian sorry. I wanted to clarify. If I have 7 a/c. So I need 7 sensors. Correct?
Yes. That’s a lot haha.
@@AriffSuffian just an example. 🤪
you should demonstrate the homekit function bro, that is the main different from the last model

I don’t think you can set schedules for the sensor to be active or not. You can only set schedules for the on/off function.
@@AriffSuffian Thank you so much for your reply
hello nice video, may i ask i heard thats an upgrade which you can connect the sensibo air to apple homekit? Is it true? Can you connect it??
Yes it’s somewhat of a beta test right now. But the bottom line is, the new Sensibo Air has support for homekit..
@@AriffSuffian thank you
Great vid. Does the Sensible Air detect temperature/humidity without the room sensor?
I believe so. Even my original Sky can detect temperature and humidity!
@@AriffSuffian Many thanks. Have you had the chance to try it in Homekit yet?
Yes I’m using it with homekit now! It’s fairly stable although not a public feature yet.
@@AriffSuffian Thanks for another quick reply. Does the humidity and temperature show up in Homekit as well?
Temperature shows on the icon but humidity needs to be seen in the setting. Apparently that’s the standard display for AC’s in homekit
If AC remote control faulty, still can use sensibo air?
Yes, you can keep your remote away after installing sensibo.
@@AriffSuffian Thanks for your reply. But my AC remote control not working anymore , how we do setting AC remote control with sensibo air ?
You will need a working remote for the setup. I’m not sure if you can use those android phones that have IR blasters to simulate your remote?
