@@bakergovender3291 all SAns are Africans one cannot expect anything to change if you're referring to something that they're not. And don't be so quick to call the government racist when you have supported government that includes all parties in parliament by voting for them assuming that you did also your taxes has been supporting their annual party funding from government according to the amount of seats they have in parliament. In retrospect we all are partly to blame for supporting the government because we have become complacent and lazy to find out exactly who and what we're blindly supporting. To give you an idea of it is the lockdown for example every party in parliament including the PA at the time unanimously agreed on it with Cyril back in March 2020 and it's extensions thereafter without any party opposing it. Taking away our freedom in an instant without question. And now people wanna vote for them again expecting a different outcome. The electoral system is the problem it was declared illegal and unconstitutional in 2020 by the concourt. Why didn't any party incl the PA ignore the 2year deadline given to rectify it. It's now 4 years later. They could've unseated the ruling party if only they took advantage of one of these many opportunities to unseat them. They have that power.
I hope Phumi reads the comments and sees how disconnected she is from what real South Africans feel.

It also doesn't give the right to direct representation as party whips dictate votes on bills to their subjects so they cannot represent your wishes for fearcof being removed and make all parties irrelevant and their leaders they chose for us unemployed overnight basically. Gareth was falling in love with Gayton during this interview. The man speaks straight to the point and with where we are in the country right now, his message resonates with many people. Gayton has repeatedly said he is in it for power for without it he cannot effect change, I interpret what he is saying as whatever it takes to get in position to push his constituency's agenda even if it's "insignificant" consessions initially. I think he is playing the long game - the longer he is in the politics game the more chances he has to get wider traction for the top job and that is what is needed to undo the embedded rot that is troubling the country.

With regards to Health Servcies, Phumi seems very ignorant. Maybe she needs to go and do some research in a hospital. What Gayton is saying is exactly what is going on. South Africans are being disadvantaged due to the overwhelming numbers in hospitals (and most being foreigners). Long queues with lots of foreigners in the queues. Long waiting times for procedures. Sometimes no medication because it is finished. South Africans must also sometimes pay, while some foreigners do not pay. It is a mess.
Phumi and here family uses medical aid so they go to private doctors so she doesnt know all that

In the UK, the government provides monthly hardship grants to poor students 16 - 19 to stay in school. This brought pregnancy and school drop out rate right down,.
