I got my jawbreakers custom made in my local Oakley shop and didn't get any unobtanium on the temples, didn't realize that they were supposed to have that on there until watching this video!
Very well done review and instructions on a pair of RX sunglasses I want. I love the full face deal as I have a regular pair of eye glasses and they disorientate me all the time.
Super optically correct!
Thank you for the Review I got my for my birthday they are customized with multi colors and Green Standard lens they are awesome I use them for softball thank you for the videos on them they are worth it and I do adjust the temples when I put my hat on and They don’t get in my way whatsoever
Sounds like you found the perfect pair of sunglasses! We're happy to hear the video you liked the video :) Thank you for sharing commenting and sharing your feedback.
@@sportrxeyewear just got the Superman jack breaker they are Awesome
Thanks for the extremely helpful review. I just ordered the polarized version. :)
Hi, Nick! Glad we could help!
When will extra lenses be available? Thanks for the great vid
Geoff Butz
Glad you liked the video. Oakley has not released spare lenses yet to on their website but they are available! You can give us a call at 888.831.5817 to place that order.

Hi SportRx,
I'm looking for my first cycling sunglasses and your videos are a big help in my search. Your reviews are simple and straight to the point. Big thumbs up and please keep up the good work.
Anyway, I just wanna ask for you personal preference since I'm torn between the Jawbreakers and Radar EVs. Would you recommend these glasses over the other? If so, why? Thanks a lot.
Thanks! Keep watching and don't forget to subscribe!
Those are two both great glasses. Personally I have and wear both (this is Rob by the way). If I had to choose I would say Jawbreaker. I love the style and the size of the lens.
Thanks Rob!
your videos are great to watch. all informatives and very helpful. Do you have a demo on how to replace insert clip on or metal plate that hook to top of the frame? I broke mine and getting the spare part soon. Maybe another question that would also solve my fix. Does the nose bridge piece that holds the pad snaps into and off the frame? i don't want to try it, fear it would break off the frame but it does appear you could snap it on and off. Thanks again for all videos!
Hello! Thank you for the kind words! We've never had the opportunity to work with aftermarket Rx insert clips for the Jawbreaker, so we unfortunately can't speak to the mechanics of how it attaches to the frame top. Regarding the nosepiece, it can and does detach from the frame after unlatching the top metal piece and pulling the bottom bridge away from the chassis. After that, it requires a bit of effort to remove it and reattach, but it shouldn't break. It might be beneficial to take it to a local optician first to see how much pressure to apply and at what areas if you don't feel confident doing it yourself the first time. Hope this helps!
What are best oakley you would suggest for Police officers on the road?
I have big eyebrows and the oil rigs fit good, what are some suggestions?
Morgan Dean When you say road, do you mean driving or biking? Feel free to email me directly and we ca go over all the details. Rob@SportRx.com.
I love the pair that you unboxed! The blue lens color is awesome. What is the specific lens color, frame color, and ear sock color? Are these prizm and/or polarized lenses? Last, does it have a mirror finish?
Cheers!
Hello Nicholas,
The frame color is sky with a sapphire iridium lens. The ear socks are dark grey and just border the bottom of the temple arms. The lens is not prizm or polarized. However, the iridium lens will have a mirror coating that will help to reduce glare. The Sapphire iridium lens is great for medium lighting conditions. Thanks so much for reaching out!
what is the difference between road vs daily. I ride motorcycle to work and would like nice glasses
Hello,
They both have a rose base tint. The Prizm Road is lighter and not polarized. The Prizm Daily is polarized and a bit darker. If you are wearing a full face helmet with a shield we would suggest not getting polarized lenses as they can distort things behind the faces shield.
Are you guys gonna sell the "prizm daily polarized turbine soon?
FightingNavyman,
We already sell the Turbine with the Prizm Daily Polarized lens… it comes in a Polished Black frame and you can find it here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-turbine.htmlThanks for checking out our video! Feel free to give one of our opticians a shout if you have any other questions!
Cheers,

Can I use prescription lenses with this Oakley Jawbreaker? The sign is beside Need them in prescription? Done
HI,
Yes you can. They come with the embedded system. You can check it options and pricing here:
www.sportrx.com/oakley-jawbreaker.html?configuration-view=true
Frame's in the way on the sides.
Anybody use these for baseball?
Hi Duane! The Oakley Jawbreaker is totally suitable for baseball! We recommend Oakley PRIZM Field lenses: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-prizm-field-lens-technology/
What are the sizes?? You did not give the lense size
Hi there AJ! The lens width is about 150 mm and the height is about 50 mm. You can learn more about the Jawbreaker here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-jawbreaker.html
What does 31mm vs. 50mm lenses pertain to?
What is the difference between the Asia fit specific version of these and the regular. I'm trying to buy a set but the color I want only comes in Asia fit (black and red)
Hey Dennys!
To be honest I have not seen the Asian fit version of the Jawbreaker yet. Usually Asian fit means one of two things. Either the only difference is the thicker, wider nose pads are already installed - you should get the normal fit ones in the box and can easily switch them back yourself and we do have a video on how to do that. Or sometimes Oakley actually changes the frame by making it flatter and wider. My best guess is that on the Jawbreaker the only difference is the nose pad. Hope that helps!
Cheers,
The SportRx Team
Yeah, asian fit is all about the nose, asian people have much flatter nose then usual.
*****
Now that you mentioned that there are 2 sets of nose pieces, do you think there was still a point of making an Asian Fit version? I can see they're actually available.
I'm asking because I personally don't have a high bridged nose. If the other nose piece is already thicker then forget about getting the Asian fit then.
Thanks.
check a real image. www.siameyewear.com/oakley-jawbreaker
i tried both regular fit and Asia fit , both bottom frame touching the cheek , is it consider normal for the design of the jawbreaker ?
Where can i get frame of oakley jawbreaker? I mean frame only, because color is boring for me after 2years using...
Hey Martin! You can buy the non-Rx version of the frame from us here by clicking the link below but it will come with the shield. If you are not interested in the shield portion then your best bet will be to check out eBay or Amazon.
www.sportrx.com/oakley-jawbreaker.html
Hmmm... Yeah, thanx, but i am not interested in new glasses. Just frame, maybe with friends from World Rowing who have this model, i will ask somebody to exchange for one season :D
We completely understand Martin! :) If there is anything we can help with in the future please let us know.
Can these be worn as safety glasses? I work in a hospital and was thinking to get these with the clear HDO lenses, since Covid we have to wear PPE eye protection.
Hi Brian! They can be worn as safety glasses but they do not meet and ANSI safety requirements for impact protection.
Hello, I would like to know if these ones are available in photocromatic lenses?
jacmaz1
Not yet, sorry!
Cheers,
The SportRx Team
+SportRx Hi,
they are now! Feel free to give us a call to order up a set.
Damn SportRx keeping potential customers updated even a whole year later
Hi,
I bought a pair of Jawbreaker (Tour de France Collecation 2016), are amazing but I noticed a flaw. I used the sunglasses when I go cycling and I noticed that with the sweat the nosepad gets wet and the sunglasses slips up my nose. I used for many years the Oakley Racing Jacket and I have never noticed a similar problem, they were glued to my face.
Perhaps I will have to try with the other nosepad. What do you think about my problem and about that?
Thanks
Luca
Hi Luca,
I would for sure try the other size nose bad that comes in the box:
ruclips.net/video/l1Gcup8eBIk/видео.html
Also have you tried extending the arms to make them a bit longer yet? That can help keep them on your head better as well. We don't have a video for that yet but will soon!
Hope the adjustments improve things for you.
Thanks. Firstly I'll try to change the nosepad
Let us know how it goes!
First ride with the second nose pad: a little improvement but it is not perfect. The Racing Jacket (and also Razor Blades and other...)in my opinion were more ergonomic and more comfortable (on my face) during the cycling performance.
I had a similar problem with the Eyeshades (and for this reason I used the second tamples to prevent the movement of the sunglasses (and they were good)).
luca redaelli choosing racing jacket today over the jawbreaker.. Just a way better fit and look way more bad ass! (my opinion of course)!
could you please make a review of the radar ev path photochromic???
Hi David! We will take that into consideration for future videos!
Will these work for baseball too?
Hey Raymond! Yes, the Oakley Jawbreaker is a popular frame used for baseball.
Raymond Mendez lmao.... why the fuck wouldn't they???... a 5 dollar pair of Walmart shades would work for baseball too
hahahah
I Want It
can i insert a short sighted lens on the nose piece ?
Good question! The Jawbreaker & Radar EV Path frames do not use an opticial insert attachment for prescription, rather an embedded lens design that fits within the shield-style frame. Click the link to learn more! 👉 ruclips.net/video/GNOTQg6uKzQ/видео.html
Can I use them just only for outdoor? I don’t have any sport... I am afraid that I will look strange
YES - you can rock these for everyday use as well! It's 2020, if you want to wear these as your everyday pair then we say go for it!
@@sportrxeyewear thank you very much bro!
are theese good for airsoft too? i mean can theese stop a plastic bb shot at 300 fps
Yes they can! All Oakley lenses go through rigorous impact testing as can be seen in this video: ruclips.net/video/hUDkCsOxtjg/видео.html
How much do these weigh?
Hi William! They are about the weight of an average sunglass. If you are really looking to cut weight you can check out the Oakley EVZero Path: www.sportrx.com/oakley-evzero-path.html
Does the large Oakley logo on each side of the Jawbreaker impede peripheral vision?
There is a bit of peripheral blockage but the glasses also wrap quite a bit so the shield extends your vision. It is not at all comparable to a pair of flat frame sunglasses with thick temple arms.
@@sportrxeyewear Thanks so much!!
Can u get prescription lenses in these?
Yes, model is available with an embedded rx shield-although Oakley has had some shortages at their lab lately so it is not enabled on our site. We will have it up again as soon as it becomes available!
Are these good jogging glasses?
Yes, the Jawbreaker works well for jogging. If you want a bit less weight though, you can always go with the semi-rimless Radar EV Path: www.sportrx.com/oakley-radar-ev-path.html
Do they come in different sizes too?
Hi there, the Jawbreaker is only available in one size. It is more of a M-L fit. You can check it out here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-jawbreaker.html
@@sportrxeyewear lovely, thanks a lot!
hi man, thanks for this review. What is the exact type and name of the black lens you have on @ 2:37 ? Seems Prizm Black?
That was just a simple Black Iridium. It is tough to find the Jawbreaker without Prizm lenses these days.
How much?
Hi there! Price depends on the colorway you decide to go with. You can check them out and order them directly through this link: www.sportrx.com/oakley-jawbreaker.html. Thanks for reaching out!
Size?
This frame has a SportRx frame width of 134. You can learn more about how we determined that size here: ruclips.net/video/MGTuNILZVzE/видео.html

What does the 31mm and 32mm represent??
