Good vid. My fuel cell are much more comfortable for my big head and the lighting is perfect
Just ordered my first pair of Fuel Cells, Hopefully will be a good fit ( medium to large head ). Got them with Black Iridium Polarised lenses, Going for the Men In Black look....
Update: Received them today and the fit is perfect, Absolutely stoked! First pair of glasses i've owned that don't squeeze my temples.

What kind of lens is on the Gascans? They looked yellow at first, then reddish.

I read both Gascan and Fuel Cell block peripheral vision some. Is that right?

Andrew says the fuel cell is 135mm which translates to a medium large which is smaller than the gascan
I have the fuel cells, howevrr when i wear them my head begins hurting around like behind my ears and a little above my ears after a few minutes would this just be from the frames being to small? It almost feels like i am beginning to get a migraine headache.
yeah you should try oakley double edge theyll be way more comfortable. i have a huge head and fuel cells fit a litte tight but the double edge are perfect
Hi Brian! It sounds like the frame are a bit small. The frame width of the Fuel cell is about 130mm and the frame width of the Double Edge is about 140mm. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you out with!

GREAT video!! My question is I bought the Oakley SI Ballistic Det Cord..Wich one of these 2 are similar in size since I want to change it up!..
Great question Giovani! Based on our SportRx Frame Width (SFW). the Det Cord sizes in with an SFW of 138, the Gascan has the same SFW at 138, while the Fuel Cell fit is a little smaller at 135. If you love the fit of the Det Cord, my suggestion would be to go with the Gascan.

How's the Radar Lock path? Looks like it's right up my alley. Only thing is I'm not sure what low bridge means. Can u please explain that??
Hello! Low Bridge Fit (previously referred to as Asian Fit) was designed to provide a better fit for people with shallow nose bridges and high cheek bones who usually have trouble with glasses sliding down the face or resting on their cheeks. Associated features with LBF typically include a more substantial nosepad, wider profile, and shorter lens height. The Radar Lock Path is a great frame that suits many face shapes, not just those requiring LBF.

So the Radar Xs didn't fit me. Lol Oakley was nice enough to do a return/ Refund for me. But I can't figure out what I want. I have 2 batwolfa and 2 turbine Rotors. I kinda like the one lense instead of the two separate. So I'm still looking to see what's good. Rather have a new model then rebuy a batwolf or Turbine. I'm also looking to go all chrome if possible.

I have the half jacket 2 xl but it feels a little loose on my head and it doesn't stay on very well. Also I need some more coverage from the lenses. Are these two tighter than the half jackets?

just bought some gascans feel like the arms are tight and feels like they're floating over my nose bridge and eyes, does that means im more like a fuel cell? I cant find a video talking about how do i know the right fit. thanks
HI! Proper fit is defined or noted a few different ways depending on the head shape details of the wearer. If the bridge is not resting on your nose, then that suggests you may need a larger frame size. i was given a pair of fuel cells a couple years ago and now the lenses are all bubbly and scratched & i would like to change the lenses but i dont know what the original color is, i look online and i see about 10 different colors, mine look basic black. Is there a name for the color of the original fuel cell lenses?

I got the gas can but probably should have gone w fuel cell because of my big dome: any recommended methods for widening the temple to temple width?
Unfortunately, there is not a good method for widening the frame. One of the cool things about Oakley's O-Matter is that it will stand the test of time without losing its shape. The downside is that it means the material is pretty good at maintaining its shape even if you don't want it to. Perhaps it's time for a pair of Fuel Cells!?

Hey Mr Crowley! Oakley has some bigger frames that should be able to help you out. Some of Oakley's bigger frames are the Fuel Cell, Turbine, and Twoface XL. I have attached links so you can check them out on the website. After clicking on a link make sure to check the bottom right of the landing page and it will have the frame measurements. What about double edge?
The Double Edge has a smaller frame width and may be to narrow on your face if you need extra large sunglasses. The frame width on the Double edge is 119 mm compared to the 136 mm for the Fuel Cell. The Double Edge has a more medium to large fit.
SportRx if the double edge has 66mm....how is the width only 119mm?
Mr Crowley You are correct. I went and remeasured the the Double Edge and it has a frame width of 141 mm not 119. Thank you for pointing that out! I have notified our Web team to correct our website. The Double Edge is one of the biggest frames Oakley offers and it provides great coverage.

They unfortunatley are non interchangable with one another as each lens size is different. the lenses must be exact so only gascan lenses will fit in other Gascan models. Hope this helps!
