I was just looking at this model last night and came across your video, just the right amount of detail in this video which covers everything you need to know in 11 minutes. Thank you. Looking to setup a portable solar setup to run a small businesses systems and this might just do the job :)
Thats a nice bit of kit John. Its probably ideal for a domestic emergency power supply, but too heavy perhaps for many vans, certainly for my van. 😂 A good review again John, cheers.
Hi John thank you for the vlog , 2 questions is it noisy with the cooling fans ? And are your solar panels in series or parallel thank you and good luck 👍👍👍🏴🏴🇨🇦🦢
Hi John, my only gripe with my 1200w Aferiy is the 2 mains outlet sockets are too close together and will not accept 2 appliances at once as the plugs touch each other, my only option is to plug in a small extension lead 👍🏻
Flippin eck John, its looking proper empty compared to this weekend at Willowfields 🤣. I'm a huge fan of Afeiry power stations. I have the older 2KW one which I saw on your channel a while back. It was brilliant over the weekend. That new one looks a brilliant bit of kit but I dont think its gonna fit in Viv and let me stay in her too. I'd deffo consider one if my plans for a bigger van came to fruition. Wish Id had a load of cash on me on Saturday cos that big allpowers panel you were selling looked a beast.. Whoever bought it got a great bit of kit. Thanks for the chat in the bar with Mandy too- though Kev kind of stole the show. Please pass on my best to Mandy. It was good to chat with her also about what was happening to her and about my mum. Much respect as always🙏- Kenny
is there any other type of solar panels instead of the folding panels which are able to function and provide the required voltage, say for example, the regular mounting panels? if so please let me know.
As long as the max. DC input voltage of 160V isn't exceeded, any regular PV-module will do. Regular PV-mudles use the MC4-connection standard. The power station has a MC4-to-XT90 adapter cable, to convert PV-module cabeling its PV input socket. A typical 400W PV-module for 75EUR (in Germany right now) is around 47V peak, so three of those 400W-modules connected in series will deliver up to 1.600W in bright sunlight and You'll stay below 160V input.
Mate, im looking at some power stations to use on a proposed 'campsite' so can run water pumps, wifi, cameras etc around the plot with the battery in the middle kinda thing.. but when it comes to power cables themselvesm for my pumps say, which are typically 3-5m or so , how do i obtain say a 30m lead with a plug on it? is it standard practice to find 'long cable' companies? :/ just one of those things ive never considered and not available t the local pc shop haha
Hi John,, I’ve just purchased a powerbank and plugged it into my hook-up socket in my motorhome, everything works fine except the fridge. Am I missing something?

I guess it depends on the plug size, the one Mandy had was able to have 2 plugs in at once.
@@GadgetJohn mine are a small 800w travel kettle… and a small 1000w coffee machine.. 🤷🏻♂️obviously not used at same time I might add
Great Review John 👏
Be safe 👍
Thanks, you too!

Did you manage to see that it actually charges with 2000w of the panels connected when the battery is more empty?
Portable mini
Drax Power Station.
😂
Wonder if it burns wood chips too? 🤣
Hi, does anyone know the minimum power it needs from Solar to start charging? Heard some units don't charge at all until something like 50w.

Can you charge it whilst you use it at the same time? Passthrough charge
Yes you can.
Hi john could you plug it into your camper socket and charge your campervan up mate or is that a daft question.
Yes, you can use the 240v of the power station to charge the campervan via the hookup mains charger
Cheers john I guessed you be able to answer the mate thanks.
Thank you for the review, always interesting what is available. Do you know if the 12v 25 amp output is regulated to a set voltage ?
It is regulated to 12v
Did I miss the price of the unit ?
