I have wren in the holly library… I’ll wait to read it for November though! I’d say for next year there’s several books that are good -Strike the zither - def good but not my favorite -realm breaker -lovely war
I was hoping for The Wren in the Holly Library but at least the pick for that month will force me to read A Tempest of Tea since I've put it on the backburner and don't know when I would have got to it otherwise. Glad you decided to keep it in so I will get that in this year. My TBR is out of control, and I keep getting tempted by other books I see people talk about and that doesn't make my TBR go down at all. If you want to get to Diavola, choose Oct to be dedicated to Spooky, Thriller books. I did that for March to get caught up on a few I wanted to read make myself take a pause on fantasy books which I tend to read most. Although, I've been getting into more dark romance fiction as of late. What little morals I had flown out the window apparently and I'm steering clear of any church to avoid being stuck by lightning due to my nefarious reading choices. 2025 Books I'm looking forward to so far are: 1/1- The Obsessive by Nykkie Baldwin *1/1- Scythe & Sparrow (The Ruinous Love Trilogy #3) by Brynne Weaver *1/7- Among Serpents (book two of the Above the Black fantasy trilogy) by Marc Gregson 1/7- A Sea of Unspoken Things by Adrienne Young (I wonder if this will be a pick for book boxes since her other book The Unmaking of June Farrow was well received) *1/14- Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix *1/21- Onyx Storm (The Empyrean #3) by Rebecca Yarros *1/28- Where Did You Go? (Infatuated Fae #3) by Jeneane O'Riley 2/13- Hungerstone by Kat Dunn *2/18- Rebel Witch (The Crimson Moth #2) by Kristen Ciccarelli and it seems the arc is out, but I can't find it anywhere to request it and it's driving me nuts 2/25- A Circle of Uncommon Witches by Paige Crutcher 3/4- Rings of Fate by Melissa de la Cruz 3/4- The King's Messenger by Susanna Kearsley 3/4- Secret Forest by Dean Koontz 3/4- Spells, Strings, and Forgotten Things by Breanne Randall *4/?- Fearless- by Lauren Roberts 5/6- The Devils by Joe Abercrombie 5/20 - The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig *5/22- Celestial Academy (Afterworld #2): Null by Olivia Pharos Any with an * in front will take priority tbr, and the others are books I would like to read at some point and are just added to my list.
OMG yes! This is such a good list. I'm going through my goodreads to make sure I didn't miss stuff haha. So the Rebel Witch arc actually came in an email so that's the only place I had seen it up to that point.
Hello Kimberly, my picks for September and October definitely didn’t win, so my TBR just got bigger 😮😮😮 but that’s okay, I am really excited for all the picks. I have so much fun with the lazy book club I absolutely love it 😊 I am starting Middle of the night on audio, hopping for a grand time with the newest Riley Sager ☺️✌️
Nice I'll be reading The Middle of the Night next week! Reading for your book club and Kayla's. I swear there was a third one.. maybe not 🤣 I've heard mixed things but I am excited to read it and see for myself!
I was going to re-read my top fantasy pick from 2023 (book 3 & 4 came out this year), but I think I'm going to put them on pause and read The Wren in the Holly Library instead. I have an opportunity to meet the author next month and want to read the book first.
I’ve read the first 2 picks already, I loved Amina, it’s fast paced and reads a lot quicker than you think with the length, but Tempest of Tea was just ok, didn’t hate it but didn’t really vibe with it either. Hopefully it goes better for everyone else
Nooo thhats 2 many sequals to read in one month. Ill have to start off right now and not pick up any new series at all🤞🤞ill try but not 💯 sure i can make it happen just started a six book series of wich i ownly own 3😂
I read an arc of The Stars Too Fondly and am enraged it's comped to the Wayfarers series 😅 I thought it was an okay read but lacked the connection and emotional warmth I wanted. The MC acts very childish for a 30-ish yr old
Hope you enjoy your reads 📚🥤

I have 3 of those so this will encourage me to read them. I am working through my series currently. It's a year long process at least.
Yay!!! That's awesome! I always love when book club picks are already on the TBR

Oh my gosh! That would be so amazing to meet the author! I'm definitely very jealous

I've definitely heard mixed things for Tempest so I'm hoping we all somehow like it
