    I'm working on a 18 volt Makita powered TV. Two parts from Amazon and a clear prison TV.

  • @АлександрМеньшиков-ь6б

    Theoretical question, i have a car pure sine 300w invertor(max load for my tasks is under 150w) which is rated at 12v (overvoltage protection kicks up at 15.6 ) and bunch of different brand 18v batteries ,all around 4AH, i want to print an enclosure with a step down DC DC converter and a standart cigarette car lighter port. Simple option - 1battery at a time,when it dies just swap the battery, 2nd - connect in series 2 batteries and step down 36 to 12 or 3rd option which i like the most, but not sure - connect 2 or more batteries in parallel with step down 18 to 12 converter, and make them hot-swapable if one of them dies first, but not sure about the circuit. What would you prefer?

    • @strtkempo
      @strtkempo 3 месяца назад

      18 to 12 would be the most efficient. The voltage difference is small.
      The problem with parallel is charging them. Hot swap would probably be better.

      Question that I can't seem to find the answer to. I have an RC boat that I built using all the running gear and inner workings of a Duratrax with a 9.6v (or something close) battery. I had a broken drill 18v so I decided to use it's battery to power the boat. BUT, being 18volts its going to fry the ESC and I'm sure other things if I keep pushing it. So I'm wondering how can I use the stock battery for everything except the motor? Like I want the drill battery to power the motor and the stock battery to power the steering servo and the speed controller etc. How do I hook that up? Thanks

    Dude, you’re pretty awesome! Just stumbled across your video because I’m planning on designing some kind of compost shredder (lots of tree branch shredders but no compost ones) and I was wondering what size motor to get. But yeah, your video was brilliant.

    Thank you for the video!! Got me thinking …. I was out to breakfast this morning and saw a family that had a child (6-8 years old) on a manual wheel chair that was challenged to keep up with the family on the way in : out without being pushed from behind … I was thinking what a wonderful idea it would be if a “simplified bolt on solution” could be added to to the chair to drive a wheel powered by a cordless drill like setup

I want to run it off a drill batteries cuz I've got like four of them that I can constantly keep charged. I don't know if you've done this project yet but I'm going to watch the rest of your video. awesome video! Im doing the quad conversion possibly today. Im running 2 Milwaukee 18v to replace three 12v lead acid. I was just going to run series and a fuse. can you foresee any issues?
    I also have some Ryobi 40v I may try if I don't need to step them down.

    • @strtkempo
      @strtkempo 3 месяца назад

      Just get a DC to DC step down converter for the 40 volt.
      I'm about to do the same. I just acquired 2 40v batteries. I'll be using them with ham radio equipment using a adjustable step down then to a breaker then the radio's fused line. I can run basically 15v to 12.8v with 13.8v being optimal, so I have a margin for error.

    I want to power a radio with 2 20v 8ah battery's in parallel, but do I also need some sort of battery balancing? Or is this not needed? Radio runs on main 230 vac, 8 D-cell batteries or a 12V 5a auxiliary port from the car.
    I want to power the radio with the D-cell contact port.
    so I am going to hook the battery's together in parallel, then an underdischarge protection and after that a step down converter 8 to 40v dc to 12v dc 6ah
    Any advice?

    Two Makitia Batteries in series for a 36v Stereo amplifier. What is the best way to protect from over discharge? 1. Adding a 36v protection board or 2. Adding individual 12-18v protection board to each makitia adapter? Makitia states that the protection is only in the tool & not in the battery. The bms board inside the battery will not shut it down. Any suggestions?

    Charge/run them with a solar panel and modify the AC frequency to give a consistent output to handle a window unit AC load. I mean you'll need to keep them cold while discharging. Try using some capacitors on the power wheel to extend recharge life, just don't blow up your kid.

    Ever since I was introduced to a little Amazon battery powered fan, and different converters for making batteries fit other tools, it dawned on me that this was possible, and now I want to mod a Nerf gun to run off of these batteries.
    The blaster in question, the Rival Perses, runs on a 9.6volt battery pack. So if my tool batteries are 20 volt, I should just need to add a resistor to lower the flow, right..? More testing is required.

    I also made a 12.6 volt battery for my little brothers New Bright RC Bronco that he likes a lot, lasts forever on one charge. Like, three 5 hours or something. And I use the same battery for a 12V inverter. In my opinion I love that and I think it's so cool.
