I have a similar story with an FF 5. A little over a year ago I had a CGC 6.0 copy with off-white to white pages. I bought it for a little over two grand and flipped if for a quick profit of $3200. Now that book a year later is worth 10K. I'm kicking myself.
Really liked the video and info on your wild hunts!! My best find so far is Silver Surfer #3 last summer at a antique shop for...$2.00!!! I couldn't pay quick enough and get the hell outta there!
Fantastic video Gary! I’ve been following you for awhile and you make awesome contributions to this community via videos, live-streams and sales. Good work man!
Your total cost of buying the raw wild books and getting them graded compared to the current CGC price...only thing missing from this video. Nice video.
I understand selling to keep the hobby/business growing, but dang it has to be hard to move off of some of those...personally the Giant Sized XMen...sigh...
Dude it must be so exciting flipping through hundreds of books in a collection and finding one of these top 10. I can picture myself losing it if I was to find a Hulk 181.
Hello Gary. All nice books, and I am jealous. Congrats. You should give a class or tutorial on cleaning and pressing on RUclips. I would like to learn on how to do that. What do you think? Stay safe.
wow , only been a subscriber a couple months, going thru alot of your older videos, 15 months later all these prices have tripled! mind blown, i'd tell you the story about my Xmen #4 I sold raw about 2 years ago (mid grade ) but if i actually typed the words id throw myself out a window, thanks for the great content.
Another great video man, love this channel. I really want to start getting out and searching for more Golden and Silver age comics. There's so many I would love to just have in my collection.
U know I've said wild for awhile but never thought about where I heard it first I'd imagine it's a fairly new term we use either way nice avengers 4 Garry
OMG im just watching this video now. Cant believe how cheap these books were a year ago compared to now. Maybe in another year they will go back down there.
What would have been the value of the book in 6.0 Restored? Versus the 5.5 blue label? I would think that the higher grade is always better. Is there somewhere I can find the S.O.P.'s on how they decide grading?
Whaou, what a fantastic top 10. You'll excuse my english, i'm french. I discovered your chanel recently and i subscribed right away. Amazing chanel and videos. Keep going like that.
I like seeing videos like this but if you could tell us the price you got the books for would be better...You could of bought the ASM #129 for $800...it would be cool to find out what awesome deal you got.
How much are you spending in a collection that can yield finds like this? Do these people always know what they have... How can a typical scenario/ transaction go??
@@VeryGaryComics omg that's awesome! I thought I found fantastic four 67 yesterday in PA at a shop bargain box. Quickly realized it was just marvel comics group #50. Joy turned to disappointment quick.
Found fantastic four 48 got it for 100 but when I got it home I realized someone wrote 125 on cover, amazing Spider-Man 300 in wild think I payed for it 15 to 25 for it little over 22 years ago in Ohio problem with cards and comics worth this much you need find buyer sell them to they are worthless if you can’t find someone buy them if you plan sell them later on in years
I don't believe so. Right on CGC's website just scroll down and that's where you can put in a serial number. After you enter it the next page will tell you all about the book and give you the option to purchase the graders notes.
@@VeryGaryComics Sweet. Ok here is a follow up question and possibly a video idea, but what are pressable defects? like a list of things that for sure can be pressed if Im either A) looking at the comic at a con floor, or B) purchase the grader's notes.
Do you think moving some of those books was a good move in hindsight, or do you wish you would have held on to some of them?. In other words do you have any regrets or moves you would have done differently knowing what you know now?
I don't collect video games but I wouldn't mind having a zelda for nes graded. This isn't my full time job. I just do it for fun and to support my hobby.
I found my wife in the wild 24 years ago.
Mine was dancing on tables (not really)
Nice...
I found one there to, for real married a striper 8 years younger than me, mother of my first two children.
Anymore of her shit ill be returning mine to the wild
So did I
Wow! Good call with the restoration removal! What an awesome top 10!

ManFromBeantown 3200 can’t be bad tho
I would say hold onto something for 5 or 10years if it is an investment.
You just said it was a quick flip so no reason to complain
Gary is an absolute beast! To find books like that out there is just amazing!
Great video! This would be a cool yearly video, able to see all the great finds
I wouldnt care if #181 had tge marvel value stamp or not, i just want the book on my wall and then buried with it.

Sweet list. Thanks for the video during these times. Stay healthy and safe.
Same to you
Absolutely amazing finds 👍 thanks for sharing and stay safe Gary...Cheers ✌️
Love hunting and I’m happy you do too! Really makes me like your channel. Nice finds 181s X-men and ASM 1 are freaking awesome.
I have a low grade avengers that I should have CCS do restoration removal. Awesome video.
Thank you
Your total cost of buying the raw wild books and getting them graded compared to the current CGC price...only thing missing from this video. Nice video.
Awesome. I thought it was going to be Alfred! Great list!
I would love to be as good as you with finding and buying collections! Amazing books!
How do you come across these collections and do they cost thousands of dollars considering what you were able to pull out of them? Awesome video bro!!
I have to get better at finding things in the wild. All I find is Ultraforce, Justice Machine, and 90's Image comics.
Same here...
Try flea markets if you have any around you
@@dragonball3166 All I found was Mexicans selling clothes. :(
Woah dude! Nice finds! Never bought a collection before, but I hope I hit one of these jackpots when I do!
Wow what an awesome wild find!!! My X-Men #1 was in fine condition, and I paid 500$ for it 30 years ago, it was my pride and joy at the time.
One of my best finds was a Avengers #11 from a collection I find in my area.
You kill me with these videos! Love 'em and super jealous!
Every one of those books are insane. Great video
Thank you
This was one of my favorite videos you have done
New watcher.....loving the videos and all the PJ merch ✌️🤘
Didnt know you could restore a restoration. Also didnt know doom was worth more than claws and balls. Stellar
I got giant size x-men #1 the repaint one.
Great video man! You have some amazing finding skills
Thank you
I understand selling to keep the hobby/business growing, but dang it has to be hard to move off of some of those...personally the Giant Sized XMen...sigh...
If does get very difficult at times
ASM 55 in at least a 9.0 has to be my coolest find in the wild, love Doc Ock and such a cool cover.
Amazing. Green with rage, I mean envy. Wish I could find some nice collections around my area.
WOW 🤩 Those are some awesome finds
Curious to learn how you find collections. Do you advertise? Any pointers?

What do you think of The Maxx?
I've only ever seen the cover art of some, looks cool thou.
OMG im just watching this video now. Cant believe how cheap these books were a year ago compared to now. Maybe in another year they will go back down there.
Man i would have loved to find ANY of these in the wild!!!
Love it Gary, great Vid!
Could you do a video on comic-book prices with the recession happening and how we should approach on prices and buying?
That would be a tough one since we're still early in this mess. I do think everything will bounce back but it's a good negotiation tactic.
Great vid!
Holy shit dude, I know you must put in a lot of work, but damn I'm jealous
If GSX 1 is the 3rd best bronze age book what're 1 and 2? I'd think Hulk 181 is 4th.
Hulk 181 is probably the best. Then gsx. Then asm 129. Then wwbn 32 and tod 10 and ms 5
I found the first appearance of Black Widow in a record shop for £5 - maybe $8-9. That was my best.
That's an amazing find. Congrats.
oh man that is nice :)) need your luck find any in wild :))
Would have been good to know what you bought them for and what you sold them for as well.
I honestly don't even remember what I paid for some of them.
Crazy finds.
Wow! Amazing books! hope I can get one of them one day!:D Great video!
Great Haul liked and subbed!
Dope finds brother
How do you clean and press a book? I've heard the terms before but I don't know what it means.
There are several different processes.
That batman you can get 7k now
That was nice fun video.
I just got a werewolf by night 32 high mid grade with mark jewlers variant for just $4!!!!😱😱
Congrats!! Great find
✌ WoW I WANT TO BE LIKE GARY✌LOL OUTSTANDING and Congrats, another GREAT VIDEO. ✌
Great list!
Big game hunter🤛🤛🤛.
thanks gary! awesome vid. cool ass batman too!
What would have been the value of the book in 6.0 Restored? Versus the 5.5 blue label? I would think that the higher grade is always better. Is there somewhere I can find the S.O.P.'s on how they decide grading?
Restored books usually cut the value in half. Especially if the restoration can't be removed. An example is "trimmed pages"
@@VeryGaryComics Thanks for the info. I guess you learn something new almost every day.
Did you ever drop one from a 100yards out? :D
Great informative video dude! I enjoyed it.
What a list!
Nice finds!
Wow have these prices changed. You should do an update video
2:30 "the page quality doesn't affect the grade". Incorrect, especially when you get to light tan - tan - slightly brittle - brittle
I am new to your channel, I am really enjoying the content. Keep up the great work Gary.
When you say found in the wild you mean found in long boxes or in collector cases?
Whaou, what a fantastic top 10. You'll excuse my english, i'm french. I discovered your chanel recently and i subscribed right away. Amazing chanel and videos. Keep going like that.
There’s your 1000th thumbs up Gary 👍

I'll start doing that a little more in the future. This collection was tough since it was so massive.
Very Gary Comics I hear ya...👍🏻
How much are you spending in a collection that can yield finds like this?
Do these people always know what they have... How can a typical scenario/ transaction go??
Would like to know your top 10 favorite covers found in the wild
you found golden age key batman a 7 with white pages. you can go ahead and go into a room with it by yourself. take your time. come out very happy.
Hey Gar, what's your best comic shop find? Could be a cool idea for a video
I found 5 copies of Ms. Marvel 1 for $1 each at a baseball card shop.

I have a Daredevil #17 PGX graded 9.0 RESTORED. It says minor color touch. If I took it out and sent it to CGC would they know it was restored?
Yes. Well. They're supposed too so I imagine they would find the color touch and give you a purple label.
This was an awesome video👍🏼
What are your Top 25 Finds in the Wild ???
I have no idea. 25 is alot.
Do you have to have a specific membership to purchase grader's notes?
I don't believe so. Right on CGC's website just scroll down and that's where you can put in a serial number. After you enter it the next page will tell you all about the book and give you the option to purchase the graders notes.

nice gary

I wish I had the kind of notices he get for collections.

What GPA service do you use?
Gpanalysis.com but I maybe transitioning to covrprice.com
Killer Books, Gary.

Amazingggggg brother!!!!

New sub here! Do you collect video games too? Is this your main job? Buying/selling?
I don't collect video games but I wouldn't mind having a zelda for nes graded. This isn't my full time job. I just do it for fun and to support my hobby.
@@VeryGaryComics thats awsome. I just saw you had some video game systems so I didnt know if you mainly played or collected retro/modern games.
Price you paid would've been killer!
I don't even remember at this point
Where do you go for GPA??
Gpanalysis.com
You shouldve put how much you got em for and where?😉
I don't even remember most of them
