    1 Your Tender Years
2 Ragged But Right (Remake of the Starday version)
3 Open Pit Mine (Alternate version)*
    4 Jonesy (Instrumental)
    5 Yes, I Know Why
    6 Liberty (Instrumental)
    7 I Can't Escape From You
8 From Now On All My Friends Are Gonna Be Strangers
    9 World Of Forgotten People
10 Things Have Gone To Pieces
Thought about calling this George Jones Plumbs The Depths, because that's what we've got here. Every song but one is about loss, bottoming out, or murder/suicide. Fortunately George laughs and the band hits a bad chord during Things Have Gone To Pieces, or else this would have ended, truly, in the depths. Bought this first at KMart for $6, a bootleg compilation (Your Tender Years) on the CSI Classic Sounds label (Classic 7563). Compiled from now-obscure LPs and 45s, the collection has all the scratches and bumps you might expect from copying ancient vinyl in only fair condition. Except the big pops I took out one at a time, a couple hundred. No depopper program; it would have colored/altered the wonderful Bradley's Barn Classic Country Music sound. From Mr. Jones' Musicor period, these are rarities from the literally hundreds of albums released in that era and thereafter. I THINK, notice I said THINK, these are all alternate takes or hard-to-find rarities except the instrumentals, which seem to be presented from their vinyl manifestations.
    * Mr. Jones did at least two different recordings of this song, which one should more properly be called the alternate version could be disputed, but I believe this is the more obscure of the two, and also the more harrowing.
Started looking out for CSI stuff as I bought CDs of George Jones, Billie Holiday, B. B. King, Elmore James, all on the label. You can probably find them for 25 cents at yard sales. It wouldn't surprise me if you could buy 'em for a penny plus shipping on Amazon. Those folks don't know what they've got, but now you do.

Any song by Mr. George Jones is a gem💎. I got the Jones fever back in 1968 as a youngin (The Race Is On) and I've been hooked ever since. Since then I tried to collect every 8-track, 45 RPM and Album out there since then...now everything is on a USB stick, lol, more than once in case. If you don't like George Jones music then you don't know what real country is, and it sure ain't that carp they play today!

I don’t know if you would be interested but I’d be willing to pay you or give you a copy of my digital collection. If you are willing to make me a copy of that drive. I could send a USB. I am a huge fan of Classic country. I am younger by quite a bit I’m 18. classic country, and George Jones specifically is something I really enjoy. I’d like to collect digital copies myself, and I am learning to digitize my collection. I am visually impaired, so it’s a little harder to use software. I may have some thing that I could give in return, I know it probably wouldn’t mean as much, but I do have a audio recording of his funeral celebration. And I could see what other things in my collection of Classic country you might be interested in. Let me know if you are interested and thank you

Oh how I love this, I don’t think I’ll ever out grow his music, although I wouldn’t have recognized it was him, he sounds different. in the song Tender Years.

This IS FOR SURE the best of 60s George! It brings me joy to hear him sing just in his natural way with a more sparse accompaniment!

Yeah, that's the stuff that separates the men from the boys. Hard core Classic Country as you'd have heard it in bars and honky-tonks of the day. Great music of incalculable historic significance.

@mabelgrey You must be a relatively new fan. Not surprising for those of us who grew up listening to him on the radio in the 1960s. Check out the Starday Years, very different vocal style but still pure George Jones.

Rock Lite with a rural accent. Interchangeable personalities that all sound the same. And use the same tired cliches about pickup trucks, etc, etc. It's a joke. Bubblegum music.
