House concert: Brahms 16 Waltzes, Op 39 complete Learn more about Rebecca Penneys: rebeccapenneys... Learn more about her festival, RPPF: rebeccapenneys...
Incredible! A beautiful interpretation AND fantastic display of technique. The choreography and physical hand/arm coordination makes it look effortless. I wish I had this technique, it looks and sounds so natural.
I'm curious about the shiny copper ewer / pitcher on the stand behind Rebecca Penneys' head. Also her performance of the Brahms' pieces is memorable and glorious.
Really really enjoyed your Chopin Etudes video a while back, especially the freedom of the improvs. This is really great too! Not my favorite Brahms. There are a few moments in the 3rd sonata that break through the firmament
Schönes Rubato und feine Agogik, musikalisch sehr schlüssig und schön gespielt - eine Entdeckung! 💙
Thank you for sharing these. Elegant and subtle artistry! I'm reminded of Martha Goldstein.

What do you want to know about the pitcher? It belonged to my parents. I always liked it.
13:07 Is this waltz (No. 10 in G major) quoting Scarlatti's sonata in D minor, K.9/L.413 or just a coincidence?
hard question to answer!
