Incredible. I knew GR would have an amazing recipe and he did not disappoint! Took me longer than 10:30 second tho haha. Especially because I had to turn my all purpose flour into rising flower. Maybe it's stupid but as someone who had a shitty relationship with his parents half the time I think the parenting is better than the cooking. Really lovely to watch.
Same, watching this makes me realize i have a bad relationship with my parents too, even got a lil teary eyed thinking about it but we juss have to try our best to make the most of it while they are still here it will hopefully get better. And its not stupid.
@@jesustarin7501 same, actually an abusive relationship which lead to no relationship until they died. I have 4 daughters and they are all in their 30s now. Every one of my daughters can joke with me about their relationships and even intimate mishaps. I realized my parents supplied me with the knowledge of what not to do and made sure I passed on something much different to my children. I have 6 grandchildren and they are all happy and healthy and have a loving mother and father in their lives. If I do nothing for the rest of my life I know I've contributed to society in a good way and my grandchildren will pass those traits on. Peace.
My husband is English, born and bread in London and let me tell you, he makes the best fish and chips I've ever tasted. He deep fries the chips twice and it makes such a difference and the batter for the fish is outrageous.
He could’ve taken out the fries earlier for the video sake but he didn’t and cooked them proper. That’s what makes him Gordan Ramsay. Always professional, smooth and passionate at what he does.
I love the way his daughters get to say whatever they want to him within the family. A total change from any of his other productions where he is the boss. Fantastic chef and a fantastic dad.

@@Grayson4795 I don't have any sort of hospitality background so it was interesting to watch one of his shows with a chef friend of mine who's run kitchens before. She was saying that she'd get pissed off too with a lot of the problems shown, and that she's had to kick asses before when a service starts going off the rails. I'd like to talk more with her about the issues of bullying in the hospitality industry because I'm not in a position to judge. But normally she and I get together for wine and jokes so it's never really come up, haha.
@@Grayson4795 No he isn't as sweet as he looks. I used to work at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay as Station chef for a year and everyday we hoped he didn't show up because he would go crazy on us for tiny reasons. Hes literally the same as shown on Hells kitchen. He yells at everyone and it really makes some of us pissed of by the way he treats us.
I think this video correctly humanized Gordan for a lot of people who thought him a lesser person. I'm sorry I ever thought less of him. He truly does seem an honest loving father that just kicks ass at cooking great food!
@@jamesswan1788 He is just far more serious about his passion than the average man, to the point that he comes across as mean. But professional cooking is a cut-throat business and you only survive if you deliver constant quality (i know i couldn't do it). He got bitten in the back often enough to know how fragile every restaurant project is. His TV image stems from the fact that TV productions are focusing on the drama and by now people really should be aware that this never tells the whole story.
I always play the game, how many times does Chef Ramsey say "literally" in 10 min. It's "literally" like 10 times, but I'm not complaining 😂. I just love him so much!!!
I've seen dudes walking up to live wild lions on youtube, but the professional chef working around hot oil?! That's the real psychopath! PUT THIS MAN IN AN INSANE ASYLUM PRONTO.
Honestly the kids made the show that much better for Ramsay. As a father of girls, I couldn't stop laughing! He is obviously a wonderful father and their behavior towards him shows it. Bravo Gordon and fam!
It's even better when your girls have their own girls and they get a taste of their own medicine, hahaha. I have 4 daughters and 4 granddaughters and a few grandsons and the oldest granddaughter started calling her mom a "Karen" and I get the biggest kick out of it.
as im a vegetarian, my father makes this exact recipe for my brother every time we visit my dads house and seeing the care fathers and mothers take to cook food even when it isn’t for me is as good as eating the meal 💗
At first when he was saying it I thought he meant Meg was messing with the frying pan or moving it on and off the heat or something to fuck with him hahahaha

I made this turn out delicious and perfect, I used soda water instead of beer since I can't consume beer due to religious reason. Also, I add tablespoon of rice flour and a tablespoon of cornstarch. super crispy and delicious.
A shop in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware was selling fish & chips. I asked "Do you have Cod or Haddock?" He answered "only Pollock". I restrained myself from laughing in his face
Gordon is the best . And how much does he love his children. When he laid the fish in the oil ,he laid it away from his daughter. And toward him. So the oil didn’t splash on her.
Mike V serious , really . I mean the way he laid the fish in was the opposite of what he said . So that it didn’t splash toward his daughter. Have some common sense and read what is written and not what you think is written.
The fish actually was naturally curved in a way so it would’ve been easier and safer to lay it towards him in this instance.... cooking isn’t about strict rules all the time lmao
I love your 10 minute challenges! They are inspiring and fun. My family has loved the result as I am cooking new things due to your show. So we all thank you;)
I did catch that, but also didn't think about his daughter being close. Yep I would pour hot oil over my entire body before I splashed one tiny drop on my daughter's! Or son for that matter. Just part of being a father.
@Daniel Melon no he was not talking to his daughter, he was talking to the audience. It is a very common safety issue to do it exactly the OPPOSITE of what he did. We are SPECULATING that he did it opposite of what is taught in cooking schools, BECAUSE his daughter was there. Without his direct input we have no way to know for sure why he did it opposite of what he said, and what is taught.
I can imagine them as kids asking for mcdonalds and him rageing "mcdonalds are you bloody kidding me i can give you a 5 star meal in 10 minutes and you want fat, sometimes cold burgers" 😂
gordon has it all. That Oscar is such a cool little dude. His daughters keep him in check im sure. There is no amount of money that can compare to how you feel when your children look at you with love and aww.
It's not really a burn though. Gordon Ramsay can cook as fast as he talks. I've been cooking for longer than you've been alive (assuming the "97" is your birth year) and I've never seen someone as skilled as Ramsay. I've seen faster, for sure, but they are nowhere near as good. And I've even seen chefs who are more refined than Ramsay, but they don't have the speed or the wide range of abilities. Gordon Ramsay is in a class of his own. He may let his family take the piss out of him, but make no mistake: that is no burn.
Hi MR Ramsay my name is Lester Phillips from Cape Town South Africa. You are a real inspiration to me not just in the kitchen, personally as well. I've watched most if not all your shows and continue to do so. I am a subscriber. Through much trial and error things are coming together where food and cooking is concerned. I do have a challenge. I'm not by the means to purchase a proper knife set and 2 pans, so I make do with what i have. If you can sponsor me a set of knives and 2 pans i would be ever so grateful , if you can't ill also understand. I look after my 2 parents whom i love dearly and 2 sons and wife. This crew are my critics and often fall victim to something new I try. Thank you Mr Ramsay. Kind regards Lester
It must tell a lot about Gordon, if her kids have the guts to laugh at him without any fear of being yelled at. It tells that he does know how to take a joke, and it enhances the fact that that he only swears at people who deserve it.
These are his kids, of course he'll be able to joke around with them. Also, Gordon is only tv dramatic towards real cooks. On masterchef, with amateur cooks, he's also super laidback. He only gets pissed off if you are a paid cook that fucks up. Then his French training comes out and yells at you as your CHEF.
