- What a started as a simple idea "Go freediving", quickly turned into so so much more! Including getting attacked and bitten by an octopus....... twice!!! But at the end of the day, that IS what an adventure is all about. Excitement into the unknown with new challenges, good friends, and good fun! What a day! What an adventure!

Just fyi, some of the urchins kinda are venomous. Not like mortality risk level, but painful. Enough to regret sitting on lol.

Is an outboard a necessary in peoples opinions? I get it makes adventures more possible, but does anyone just row on their dinghy?
Yes, Sometimes though if you anchor far out you have to think of strong currents too
Having an outboard helps alot!
I agree, on a beautiful windless day I'd row 10 out of 10, but when you are returning on a random day at night and it's blowing even 18, and any of those anchor lights even quarter of a mile away can be you... and then repeat, if you've figured that it was just an odd day for you..., I've done that. And that, is when whatever you've saved for an outboard - is enough for whatever you can get tomorrow
1000% necessary, oars are your disaster recovery plan only for this kind of a trip
