I love this stories. I listen to them before I go to bed almost every night.
Me too 😊
me too😊
I got kissed by a princess and turned into a bloody frog. 🐸..croak..
Breakfast .. flies
Lunch .. flies
Dinner .. flies
I do miss my bacon and eggs..
Moral of the story ...
Never kiss a woman with a tiara and wears crystal slippers. 😱
I'd be lost now without my fix of chilly and cbs radio and it's funny reading comments from 4yrs ago wondering what they/I was doing whilst they were listening? Again thanx Chilly!!
I'm listening tonight and am reading through the older comments as well. You listened before lockdown and I'm listening before we may head into another one. What a year.
Almost sounds like the takeaway from this story is you really don’t want the most handsome guy or beautiful woman as your spouse because it might shorten your life! Also the power of painting might be greater than one can imagine. Enjoyed 8/30/2022.
The actors in this were particularly good.

So much better than 📺 TV. Binge listening during pandemic😷😷 Sep 2020. Oakland .CA
In this, at least to me, Gordon Heath sounds like Orson Welles as Lamont Cranston in The Shadow.
Had a bonfire outside tonight while playing a couple of Chilly's uploads...what a fun evening in Fl! Thanks as usual Chilly! We appreciate you!
+Ken Jurek ~ CBSRMT by a bonfire sounds like a great time!
Tell me there were Marshmallows! What's a good scary story, by a fire, without marshmallows?
Ken Jurek Bonfire outside and marshmallows ---- that's a great idea for a get together !
Yes it is. Or it would also be great for a campfire in the woods too. What a great idea.
great idea!
4/19/22 listening in Tucson. I never could understand the fascination of the O board.
Ralph Bell makes every episode he is in worthwhile.
Yes thank you, Chilly, for these charmingly macabre episodes! Classic, enjoyable & much appreciated!🙏

There is not an incantation that can change being sensible. There is a very strong marriage in this story.
Yes, to hell!
This was a good one!
Here on 5/27/22! I so appreciate these uploads! Thank you!
This was an exceptionally well written and performed play. Although the host at the end didn't seem to understand the play he presented. 42:30 "Will believing you are handsome, charming and irresistible make you handsome, charming and irresistible?" The point of this magic was how it shapes your own perceptions by believing it, not the perceptions of others. Ie, the woman in the story didn't make him die by her believing he'd die, he died because he thought he'd die. If you believe something can affect you, it will, or so that's how this magic is supposed to work.
Yes, self fulfilling prophecy.
What a hideous evil tale! Damn it to he'll where it belongs!
I have all these radio mystery
On a play list on you tube
I love them something dredfull
They remind me of being a kid
Of 11 years old in 1975
Love these old radio commercials
From 1975 awesome
I agree! I remember my mom listening on the radio. Brings back a lot of memories for me! I go through times where I listen regularly. I especially enjoy listening when I am on a road trip.
Me too. 13 in 1975. We would listen on sunday nights in the living room. Some of my favorite memories. I think I prefer "theatre for the mind" instead of TV
Great x

I wouldn’t stay in that studio apartment for all the tea in China.
Constantius declares a curse on those who perform the magic arts and thereby “jeopardize the lives of innocent persons.”“ - Constantius II
True story, i believe....
Good story. 8.5 out of 10. Bell is the man.
Hamlet once said to Horatio, “There are more things on heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” By writing this, Shakespeare meant that one must believe what he or she sees. ... Such quality should force a person to seek new experiences, learn new things, and challenge beliefs.
That was a dandy!

I bought an ouija board
Though mail order.
It was sent from Belgium
I tried it and saw satan in hell
I drew a picture of my vision
Then the ouija board fell apart
And stopped working afterwards
I wished I didn't mess with it.
They are a conduit & v dangerous, don’t mess around with anything like this . Crowley was the most evil man & lived here in the uk & put spells , I can’t bear to write about it
TFS! ❤
❤
Wow I loved this one!!! Bravo 👏
Another excellent episode. Many thanks, Chilly!
Man, that tale was so intense, I didn't want it to end so soon!!!!

In magic we have a variety of "uses" for our art beyond magic itself, which reminds me of the notion of art therapy. The rendering of art inferior to therapy is an interesting one: interesting in the sense that it makes me want to vomit angrily.

Pride goes before a fall, and before a fall a proud spirit. It’s what had satan thrown out of Heaven.
Plain waffle filler and leaden lines kill a lot of these derivative dramas. But when they are good - watch out! Gave up on this one when he was talking about the sinker. These unemployed artistes sound more like close-to-retirement suburbanites.
