Listening from Southern Ontario, Canada, 43* N. Lovely cool weather the last two days - today started with 49* and currently 67*, a mostly sunny day. An interesting story - even I began to wonder which was real. I really enjoyed the twist ! Sam always writes very good stories ! With the cooler weather, I decided to bake some unusually rich cake brownies, for my daughter-in-law’s birthday tomorrow. I asked her what she would like for supper, and she said she’d like my Friccaseed Chicken, and I hope I do it justice. I’ll serve the brownies with a small knob of vanilla ice cream. All the first generation of the new birds, and chipmunks (chippies), and my favourite - the very fast and flashy red squirrels - are all out and on their own, and a lot of the parents are now on their second batch ! They come every day at the same time, including the quickly growing wild bunny, still with her mother but not much longer, I think. She was born and still spends each night under our shed, there with the mother. Our two indoor cats love watching all of them from the screened deck door. One of the chipmunks will eat nuts from our hands - they will climb right up into our hand and take the nuts - it feels so funny when their little hands and feet touch you. I always carry a few peanuts in my garden apron when I’m out there - just in case.. All of them make for a lovely bit of light-hearted distraction while I do my garden chores, and always make me smile! Hope all sleep well tonight, have pleasant dreams, and awake refreshed and ready for a new day tomorrow ! Goodnight! 🙏❤🫠. (hope the same for you F.! ☺
