I am 35 years old and I drive a bulk milk truck for my job. I listen to these all day. I was listening to the Twilight Zone radio dramas, but ran out of episodes to listen to. There is something oddly nostalgic about these. Thanks for the great stories!
I am 58 years old and I listened to my first episode when CBS Radio Mystery Theater debuted on my 10th birthday, Jan 6, in 1974. I listened regularly with my dad through the entire run of the series, when I was 18. It's great to know that a younger man that wasn't around then can still enjoy the power of radio. Be safe on your route and enjoy these wonderful episodes.
In this story Himan Brown tells us that the moon has no effect on people's behavior, but the loonies crawl out of the woodwork during a full moon just the same.
Hey, Chilly. I'm impressed. You not only must have a fun personality, you also have some semblance of intelligence...correct spelling and punctuation, which is so rare for comments online! lol
This thing about loonies & the full moon.....it's always there in it's entirety & it's gravitational pull can always have an effect on people & animals no matter how the sun falls on it.
Roberta Maxwell seems as if she doesn't know her part, maybe she was called in at the last minute. Either way, her take on being hypnotized was not so good. She had the lead role and didn't do much with the character.
He thought that he had removed willful and then much to his surprise "I will!" was in total chance. Being dominant could not infer to a serendipitous. You were not that moment. That was hurl.
Thanks, Chilly. It's a decent story, but Roberta Maxwell is weak. It's too bad that Himan re-recorded the narration on these episodes. It's like when Tom Carvel did his own commercials on the radio. Terrible.
Roberta Maxwell, never a favorite of mine when compared with Teri Keane or Marian Seldes, was just awful here. Strange casting for a role that required a strong believable lead character.
Here's what I know about it.........In 1998 and 2000 the still-active Himan Brown attempted a brief revival of the series, rebroadcasting selected old episodes with his own introductions replacing original host E. G. Marshall. The original show was never syndicated, so most episodes out there were once taped from the radio which resulted in many with mediocre to poor sound quality. The show's revival in 1998 and 2000 meant that Mystery Theater was on the air once again, but this time it could be recorded with better sound recording technology.

William Norton helps to have light.

I'm 67 and still enjoy them, and there's plenty of stories!
Thank you very much for adding new ones.
You're very welcome.

Indeed!
That one had a nice twist. 😮
The moon is red in the begging but in the end it is blue. Cool
"If you lived with a psychopath you would know" No, that's not how it works, not at all.
Not always
Well to be fair it's sociopaths that are difficult to detect, a psycho is easy to detect especially if you living with him
The audio on this is so crispy

This sounds different. Was it re-done?
