Why is it important to talk about mental health?
Mental health is a crucial part of our overall health that impacts how we think, feel and act. Raising our voice and talking openly about mental health can improve our communities by breaking down stereotypes and making it more acceptable for those living with mental illnesses to seek professional help, learn to cope, and aid the road to recovery.
Normalising the conversation can empower people to express how they truly feel and put an end to the stigma that often further isolates and prevents people from seeking the treatment they need before it is too late.
