Happy New Years Eve! My lovely #viewsclub, manifesting is important. Let me know in the comments what you are looking forward to in the new decade. I'm looking forward to good health, a happy family, and to continue my path to leave this world better than I found it. I'm still working on my plastic usage and to be as helpful as I can in sharing my style of cooking. I have many goals and surprises this coming up year. Leave all the things that didn't serve you in 2019 behind and forgive. What helps me get by is acknowledge, Process, and move it along in a peaceful manner. Love yourself deeply and forgive yourself, friends. We are human and go through it. We owe it to ourselves and our family to be loving through the ups and downs. As my mother says sorrows are less with a good meal "Las penas con pan son menos". You have all become a part of my family and daily life and I'll forever be grateful to our creator for each and every one of you. I love you all like a mother and wish you all the happiness and success in the world. If you think it and work daily towards your goals. You will succeed! Happy New you 2020 #viewsclub #iloveyou Play safe today friends ❤️

Views on the road ~ Eloquently spoken, mija. We all love you, too. All I want is to be healthy and go back to work as an R.N.
Having health issues so it’s been rough. It’s taking a toll emotionally, financially and spiritually.
But, I feel I CAN manifest health. Day by day, minute by minute. As for you and your family...you ARE making a difference. You are a shining star 🌟 all of you! Have a blessed New Year!

Happy New Years Eve!!! ❤️ Many blessings and love for you and your family, throughout the new year!! ❤️
Happy New Year! God's blessings to you and all your family.
As a kid, I remember eating lots and lots of tacos that were leftover beans and scrambled eggs. I remember that they were just so delicious because the tortillas were freshly made, and sometimes, as an added treat, there would be pieces of cheese in the tacos (which ended up being government cheese a neighbor shared with us). Only realized, when I was older, that those were Pobresita meals. I never knew, or felt, like we were poor because mom always made sure that, somehow, someway, we were fed, we were warm, and that we were loved.
I love some mashed refried beans with a homemade tortilla or some nopales and tortilla!!! I like to make a bunch of beans and then freeze so when i feel lazy i just pull some beans out!
Yup! I freeze them flat now to make more space LOL Happy New Year's Eve! ❤️
@@Viewsontheroad Happy New Years Eve to you guys too!!! Can't wait to see what videos you have in store for us in 2020 💚🥂🍾🎉🎊🎆
Loving the pobresita foods :) single mom here just trying to make a dollar stretch. Side note my daughter loves beans..
I'm honored to have you on the channel. Single parents are warriors. I will always have respect as I was raised by a single parent. I've seen what being helpless looks like and you make it look easy. Wishing you and your little one a happy new year ❤️
❤️ the pobresita recipes. I've never tried this one but growing up we lived on beans papa's and tortillas. My grandpa would sometimes make chicharron burritos 🤤 Oh man I really miss my grandparents. 😥
TFS! your grandparents sound lovely amiga. Wishing you a Happy New Year! ❤️
May I suggest selling t-shirts for your subbies with the hashtag, "Make it Comfortable for Your Home." Love my pinto beans de olla, will have to try this!!!!
Or aprons.
Aprons sound great also!!👚👕💞
I can see this for an entire line of kitchen decor.
Yes! I'd buy one
I remember seeing in a video where she had mentioned that she’s really picky and she’d have to find something that she thought was high-quality before she would try to produce and sell it to us. But I completely agree with you and I would TOTALLY rock a shirt or apron... heck socks even haha!
Never seen this before but I'm definitely going to try it. It's looks delicious and comforting. I have fond memories of visiting my aunt in Mexico. She had dirt floors but her little humble home was spotless and everything in order. Having a bowl of freshly cooked sopita that she made standing at her little 2 burner stove with her house gown and apron is a beautiful memory I have . Rip Tia Tencha, dale un abrazo a mi sobrina♡♡
Omg I didn’t even know this was a thing other people would do but my mom would always make this for us when we were younger but she would make them donut shaped so we would refer to them as “las donas de frijol” 😂 thanks for the memory
I appreciate you dearly. You guys keep it REAL, I can so relate to your stories on how you grew up because, so did I and my husband. These are truly humbling DELICIOUS meals and I’ll pass them down to my kids too. Right after my dad passed, I had to pawn my iPhone because we had lost everything in a flood so we did not have much. And I remember having all of my dads voicemails and texts. Some good photos of us together as well and I sent my husband to do it (I had just given birth too) WELL they wiped the phone clean and I couldn’t forgive him for such a long time. And I still haven’t. It’s been 4 years now.
🌹🌹🌹🌹I'm White, Southern Born and raised in Los Angeles. I'm making this right now!!!! Because I know it's going to be outrageously delicious!!!!! 👍 It smells out-of-this world crazy good in my house right now! Thank you.
If I am balling your balling!!! That is an awesome sister ❤️❤️❤️
Nothing but admiration for mothers who manage to feed their families healthy and delicious food on a limited budget. Moms are the best!
my grandmother, lita always had a pot of beans and fresh tortillas on the stove and when we moved from asia, we lived with them for awhile and my mom (asian) would pour the beans over plain white rice with a fried egg on top, served with salsa and a tortilla with a hot dog & melted queso or just some butter and my "lita" was always so happy because we had both cultures on table... simple but nourishing and always with lots of love
Mmmmm yes made pinto beans with the leftover Christmas ham hock 🤤 gotta use it all!
I loved how humble you are and how amazing that food looks !
Thank for this recipe.. brought me back.. my grandma use to make it when I was little. Best memories!
This one I might make, looks good. My mom never made this for us. But as I’ve learned, Mexican cooking varies by state, and zones.
One thing for sure is that I love cooking for others and feeding people, so does my husband. Always looking to expand my recipes and learn to cook new ways.
Have a great new year!
I made this last night and it was amazing!!! I added smoked chicken legs that I got from my favorite Mexican market and OMG!!! My soul was VERY happy! I may have cooked my beans for too long because my sauce was much thicker; like a pea soup, but still had lots of whole beans and my little dumplings were so good! My husband loved it. Thank you for sharing this recipe!
Love your apron! Love you & your sisters conversations, always wished I had a sister! This sounds so good! Will be trying this soon especially with all this snow we are getting! 💗❤ thanks for all the great recipes
Thank you amiga, your part of our club that makes us sisters 🤗This is great for the cold weather or just because. Happy New Years Eve! 🎉
Love those struggle meals..BLESSINGS🙏
Hey there...i just want to let you know that I thank our creator for you!! I get so much Maseca from the pantries...and never cook with it. Thanks to you and your videos...i have so many ideas now. And it goes very well with my gluten sensitivity. Regular flour makes me break out...now I can eat my fav. Meals again!! With a few tweaks that I learned from YOU!... SO THANKS SO MUCH!!💗💗
Thanks for the recipe. Reminds me of my uncle who used to say that when they were growing up, they ate Papas con Huevo, Huevo con Papas, and Papas a Huevo! (no disrespect). Happy New Year and best wishes for the New Year for your family and your mom.
Happy new year sisters. I love to see you making your mom’s comfort foods while she’s going through her battle. Praying for you guys and I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for the Views club.
I recently started watching you! I love how true you are ! I'm 24 with a 2 year old baby girl and my husband is 33, but we love pobresita foods. We grew up very humble, I would eat anything my mom made me I even loved pasta with winnies! It was my favorite! Your channel reminds me lots of my childhood. I also love too cook !! I have a Instagram called @cookingwcece
TFS amiga, I love babies, kids, family life, and food. Wishing you a happy and successful 2020 ❤️
When I was little I loved pickles so my mama always added a spoonful of pickle relish to my beans. I still do it just to feel the love. Thanks for this Pobresita Foods series, looking forward to more in the new year 💝
Some of my favorite comfort foods are from struggle meals as a kid. My Grandma Wolf (native) made so many delicious meals out of nothing.🤗
Yes! I loved when my grandma would make beans. We would eat them with egg tortas.
I don’t remember anyone having to pawn but I remember standing in line early in the morning at the local church for free food. My treat was they usually had chocolate milk. Beans and rice were the staple and if it was very hard times instead of tacos with meat we would have refried bean tacos. my grandma was such a good cook that it never felt like we were broke everything was so delicious. Happy new year from España!
I love that you added the measurements over the video! Love all your recipes!
Yes, please more pobrecita meals! I have several pobrecita meal memories, but one that I'll never forget is having tacos de sal. Just tortillas de maiz sprinkled with table salt and roll the tortilla and eat it with a cafe de agua. When we had enough to make a molcajete salsa we would have tacos de salsa.
Again, something I've never seen before but now am super excited to make !!! Thank you ladies !!
This looks so good
My mom made "navajo noodles" with mutton stew. And frybread. The noodles were basically just the frybread dough rolled into noodles or I would call them strings, tossed into the stew and cooked. Its a comfort food for me. And very filling.
There's no need to apologize for your upbringing, your culture, or the way you speak. We are all Who We Are. For me it's always a learning experience to get the exposure from another culture. I love your Channel and your recipes and I appreciate your sharing.
PS.. Some of the best recipes have come from hard to come by meals. I'm very familiar with pobrecito meals they come in all races, Creeds , and colors. Long live the the extra struggles our parents put forth to keep us fed!
Ohhhh si! Los frijoles de la olla con mayonesa.
O huevo estrellado for dinner...
Lleve una pulcerita de mi bebé y sus aretitos y me dieron 10 dólares pero le pude dar de comer a mi bebé y nunca los pude ir a sacar because times were hard, but I’m so so grateful for all the people who gave me and my kid a plate of food and sometimes even a shower I will be forever grateful and I owe everything to God he has gotten us thru very hard times but we are still here together as a family! Thank you for sharing your recipes and mostly important that piece of advice and hatefulness you give in your videos!!
I was born and raised on the Navajo Reservation and I too grew up eating Pobresita food... Mmmm but they are the best.. Brings back memories and lotsa comfort. Thanks for sharing your yummy recipes ❤🤓
Your videos are inspiring in many ways. Great memories growing up in Juarez from parents from Durango and now living in Chicago. In the 80s and 90s, we used to travel to Mexico in a pick up truck with a camper and a mattress and San Marcos blankets in the back - and always bring back a costal de frijoles, Chile Colorado, Chile pasado, and would stop in New Mexico to pick up our Chile Verde after seeing relatives in Juarez and El Paso. Those were the days. The foods you make always look delicious. Your attitude and energy is so positive and uplifting. We always make our tortillas de harina and maiz for many meals still today. Interesting also how our pobrecita foods are now some of the most demanded foods in the world in top restaurants. Wishing you and your family the best and many blessings and good health for 2020.
Yup yup ...girl you my favorite..love ur agua frescas.because I'm a diet diabetic
Omg this looks so good I will definitely be trying this I love beans
Frijoles de la olla with mayo and sopa de fideo will never get old for me 😋
I will definitely make this for my family!
These kind of meals are the best kind of meals !! I don't know why but they are!! I remember just having some beans and some tortillas with butter !! Yummy!!
I still love it!!❤❤
So this is like beans and dumplings only with masa. Cool. I never thought of it as a struggle food. But Beans and flour super cheap always in stock. Wow I look at that meal completely different now. One on my favorites.
Beans & dumplings! cool idea!
I love how you always make it comfortable for the kids like you make meals that kids would like and enjoy👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
The last day of 2019. Looking forward to 2020. That was sweet talking about your mom. Your mom has the best daughter. That is you. Happy new year and more to come. Wonderful demonstration on pinto beans. ☺😊😉😆😄😃😅
Hey there last day of 2019... This is last day of 2020... Hold on for the ride! Hehehe....
Cloud “if I’m balling your balling”. In the same way. Iv helped many people this year. And now I’m struggling and I’m scared to ask for help 😭
Ask. The answer can be yes or no but the answer is always no if you don't ask. My mom used to say a closed month don't get fed. So open your mouth friend. Someone will help. Bless you.
Bless you for helping so many. I encourage you to ask for help when needed...people are usually willing! Happy New Year to you! 💕
You should ask for help. Nothing wrong with that. We all will need or give help at some point or another - many times at the same time for different reasons. God bless you and all the best for 2020.
@@09echols My father used to say the same. Yes, ask.
Please ask...🤗🤗🤗
OMG I have pinto beans on stove NOW! Perfect timing!-Kristy in Missouri 😀
First to comment! I love your recipe's😍🥰🥰
My mom made this once in a while when I was younger, it’s so good!!! 🥰
Love this pobresita segment.. 😊
I made my mother get emotional with this dish 😭
Love this. I still love my bowl of frijoles de la olla and some queso fresco and fried tortillita strips .. it’s the best on a cold day! Full of deliciousness. Happy new year to you and your family!! Happy new year cloud!! Sending abrazos 🤗
"All this deliciousness"😊
We made something very similar. We would make the beans but cook most of the liquid down. Instead of dumplings, we would spoon the beans over slices of white bread. It would be dressed with chopped raw onion and cheese if we had them.
Wishing you all a most blessed New Year!🎊🎉🥳🥂🎆
I LOVE it when you say "make it comfortable fro your home" and "Feed our soul". Beautiful.
YES YES YES MORE POBRECITA FOODS!!!!! MUCH LOVE FROM MY FAM TO URS 💙💙💙
Struggle meals are the best especially growing up on it like the boil pig feet & the unwanted parts
wow you are my new favorite cook in the world. These poor man meals are important to learn because you never know when rough times will hit AGAIN. I remember my mom hocking her silver that she inherited from her mother just to eat and make house payment. She cried all the way home. We also lived on fideo and beans and we never had fresh fruit or veggies because that was rich people's food.
Never heard of this but it looks delicious ❤️need to make it
I'm loving this series! Thank you for your hard work! Happy New Year to you and yours.
Awe, I love all your videos :) thank you for making em! Even if I already learned the recipe I put you guys on to listen to while I’m home alone cleaning while Fella is at work and kids at school. Xoxo

I love how you made this...I've never tried it but I'm sure my littles will live it so I'm gonna have to try it out! #pobrecitafoods❤
Happy new years everyone. I remember when my husband and I where first married & we couldn't pay rent i had to pawn my wedding ring (both my husbands & mine) we have been together almost 17yrs now, doing much better financially and we both got better rings. They only offered me $68 for them both btw lol. That didn't even pay a light bill.
December has been hard for me. My grandma passed away and she always used too make beans and frybread. Takes me back! Thank u!
Yes more pobresita food and goodies. Helps alot. Love big fan.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Single momma loving these pobresita meals. Keep them coming 😋
Made this tonight for dinner. I added cumin and black pepper to my broth, as well as to my masa. It was delicious, and my 3 teenage sons loved it!
First time I ever made masa dumplings. I added jalapenos, corn and black bean flakes to the soup, it was delicious. Thanks for the recipe.

Definitely going to make this, looks delicious .
Thankfully I didn’t have to struggle like my grandmother did. She would always make us caldron de frijoles with tomato In it and bacon with some salsa ! It was so good!
We never had anything to take to the pawn shop. We moved when rent was due. Go to school we would be living in a new apartment when we got home. We thought my mom was crazy. We didnt know we were dirt poor. Lol but we use to laugh and make something from nothing. I love these videos. Happy new years views family.
I LOVE a pot of fresh pinto beans. Can turn them into anything. A bowl of beans and a tortilla warms my entire soul.
I love watching you cook gives me more ideas, I like the simply foods to, happy new year,

These pobresita recipes are great for beginning cooks and people wanting to stretch ingredients!
Will try wow look. So good...kinda like cornbread and beans together will try
My family isn't Mexican, but my parents ate beans all the time during the depression. There is a slight nutritional benefit to soaking beans for at least several hours before cooking. It also saves some cooking time.
Girl that looks like it tastes great. Those are some of the best foods. Poor and simple, I love these recipes. Have a blessed and happy new year 🎊 🎉ladies.
Happy New Years Eve blessings to you and the family 💙❤ Cloudy be blessed in the New Year luv yall
Wow, so simple yet never thought to make this...making this soon!
I'm having this for dinner! I love beans and I love dumplings, so this looks like a yummy new dish for our home! Thank you. I'll share pictures. This is the 1st time I've commented but I watch faithfully and your green enchalada sauce has become my go to enchalada sauce. No more store bought for me! Thanks for all of the food love and I cook everyday with food love as well!
Peanut butter blossoms are what the cookies are called. They'e my husband's favorite. Growing up my mom didn't have much jewelry. We didn't have much till I was probably 15 ish, but it still wasn't much. We had a black and white tv till I was 13 (86). Our first color tv my mom bought in 81, the black and white was the 2nd backup tv. Ever try watching MTV (back when all they had was music) on a black and white LOL I keep telling my kids they're lucky because they have their own tv's in their room, and I didn't get my own till I was 21.
Right now I am a propasieta lol. I made beans tonight & had no corn meal but a bag of maseca. I had a feeling there was something I could do make with the beans & as always; you two never disapoint. It is deliciosos 👍
More please I'm gonna try this for sure thank you
Love love watching you and cloud! I made the birria de res on Sunday my family loved it! Happy New Year
