    My X4 with bullet time combo can only see upper half of me. In editing there is not much maneuver (zoom out/up/down. The video (lower half of the body) is there when I chose vertical format which I don't like). Landscape format still looks good bc I can see the tops of the buildings around and some sky, but how do I get to film the entire person like on your video? Can this be only done on X3 or am I probably missing something? Thank you for your tutorial-video. Very well done.

      Hi,
      To customize your Bullet Time look, I'd recommend creating it manually, as shown in this tutorial. In most cases, I shoot in 5.7K 50fps with my X4 and reframe it in Premiere Pro. This allows me to zoom out and frame my Bullet Time shots completely freely. Unfortunately, a Bullet Time created in the app will be framed automatically, and you won't have such freedom in editing.

    • @malapolska3842
      @malapolska3842 4 месяца назад

      @@GabaVR Thank you for prompt answer. After reframing in INSTA360 program - I use DaVinci Resolve. Bullet Time mode on X4 films @ 5.7k/120FPS - so by shooting in 5.7k/50FPS you can only slow it down 2x to 25FPS?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  4 месяца назад

      Yes, if you shoot at 50 fps you can only edit in half speed. In most of the cases I found it to be good enough.
      But if you want a slower bullet time, you can also choose 4K 100fps video mode. The quality will be a little bit lower (actually the same resolution as with X3), but better slow motion.

    do you have to use or is there a me mode for bullet shooting? or is there a AI reframing option to keep you in frame? also can anyone use a regular string? does it have to be a insta accessory to swing it around? one last question, when using a string, wont the camera not only rotate around you but wont it spin it self on the string?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  5 месяцев назад

      You don’t have to shoot in Me mode, as there is a dedicated bullet time mode.
      You can use this option, or simply shoot with a higher frame rate in 360 and reframe the video for yourself manually.
      Of course, there are different accessories, such as a handle and two types of strings. In practice you can use any of them - but they all have some advantages and disadvantages in certain cases. For instance the string can rotate in man ways, causing more visual artefacts. But you can use any string which you find strong enough and attach it on the bottom of the camera.

    Great video my problem is every time I do these I get a weird distortion midway when the camera passes through any idea how to get rid of this I can see yours has no distortion when you go all around what am I doing wrong?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  Год назад

      What kind of distortion do you get? It's something caused by the stitchline, or something like an optical distortion, like a hard fisheye effect? Do you shoot with the handle or with the string?
      Some problem can be caused by the rotation of the string... or if you are shooting with the handle, try to pull the stick to different lengths. Try to shoot with a little bit longer selfie stick, so the stitchline gets a little bit further from you, and of course, the camera also gets a little bit further from you, so you can avoid distortion caused by the proximity.

    What is the adapter stick that you mentioned to use and get a different angle for the bullet

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  Год назад

      It’s a simple ball head adapter. It can be any brand, or even a cheap one from eBay or AliExpress (or any site like this).
      The point is having a 1/4 female hole on the bottom and a male screw on the top.

      Hello
      When you use bullet time 4k 120 fps, what can you the resulution export from the video file ?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  Год назад +1

      Hello,
      Hogyha manuálisan szeretnéd létrehozni az effektet, akkor 50 vagy 60 fps-sel érdemes rögzíteni 4K felbontásban, 360 fokos módban. Ilyenkor kb full HD szerű végeredményt kapsz reframing után, de videószerkesztőtől függően akár 4K-ban is ki lehet exportálni (mondjuk Premiere-ben). Ettől mondjuk már nem biztos, hogy jobb lesz a minőség, maximum felskálázza kicsit.
      Emellett a kamera tud még 360 fokos módban 100 fps-t is 3K-ban, bár én ezt nem szoktam használni. Ez egy kicsit jobb lassítás, de alacsonyabb felbontás is egyben.
      A "beépített" Bullett time módban 120fps 4K a legjobb elérhető felbontás, de akár 3K 180 fps-t is tud. Itt a telefonos applikációval HD-ben tudod kiexportálni, míg az asztali szerkesztőben akár 4K-ban is, magasabb bitrate-tel, ami jobb minőséghez vezet.
      Összességében, tapasztalataim szerint amúgy ez a 4K 120 fps nagyjából ugyanolyan felbontás lesz, mint az 50/60 fps 4K 360 verzió.

    What happens if you set it to Bullet Time but just take normal video? Like going for a walk. No swinging the camera around. Just holding it steady. Or is Bullet Time only activated while swinging?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  2 года назад +2

      In bullet time mode the camera records only the bottom half of the full sphere, so if you put the camera on a straight selfie stick, and hold it in front of you, it will record you in slow-motion, and it will be very similar to 'Me Mode' (if you're familiar with it).
      The main difference between the real MeMode and this solution, that MeMode is powered by AI, and it will follow you wherever you move, while in Bullet Time mode, it will record the bottom half of the 360 space constantly, so you can easily get out of the frame. (If you put the camera on a tripod, it will record the ground)
      But if you want to record an extreme slow-mo like this, you can use Bullet Time mode in this alternative way. No swings are necessary for recording in this mode. For instance, it could work if you mount it on a bike or motorcycle too, putting the camera on a selfie-stick, pointing forward. But in this case you have to edit and export your video with the desktop app, where you will have access to the full-length recorded video.

    I can't see my legs in the bullet time video, only my upper body. I use a string. What am I doing wrong ?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  3 месяца назад

      Hi,
      You do nothing wrong. In some cases this is the way it works in the app. You can play around with longer selfie sticks, or create the effect with the desktop app or in PremierePro.
      I have another tutorial showing this method: ruclips.net/video/FdZisUus8sg/видео.htmlsi=SkeRjwOT4kDv8pYT

    • @GabaVR

      Yes, in Bullet Time mode you can select 120fps, but I prefer shooting in 360 mode and reframing manually, so that's why I was hoping for a upgrade in normal 4K 360 video mode.

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  8 месяцев назад

      It depends on. I prefer the the selfie stick combined with the handle, but there are certain tricks you can create with the string, especially some vertical spins.

    • @jman1853
      @jman1853 8 месяцев назад

      @@GabaVR Why do you prefer the one in stick? Thanks!

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  8 месяцев назад

      First, because I can swing it with a constant distance (the cord can be shorter and shorter as it wraps around your finger). Then I can swing the camera with the same height, while using the string, the height of the camera depends on the speed of the swinging.
      And of course, with the handle I can swing the camera with different speeds, and relatively slowly if needed, while with the string it's not possible, as you need to reach a certain speed for the camera to rise.

    • @jman1853
      @jman1853 8 месяцев назад

      @@GabaVR Thanks! I actually have the stick, bought it with the X3, never tried it yet, but then saw the cord and looks as if it's more convenient and would give better quality bullet times. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
