My first impression of the cam is pretty good, but I am a bit underwhelmed by the quality of the 360 pictures. I feel like my phone does significantly better pictures :(
I do many photospheres for Google Maps and this was one of the bigger reasons I decided to buy this cam.
You're welcome! I assume you have used the 72MP resolution. Also, since you are taking a still photo, lower the ISO down to 100 and that should help. I have had mixed results when using auto settings, but manually adjusting the settings does make a difference.

Great video! I plan to upgrade from my DJI Osmo Action. My main concern is mounting the Insta360 X3 and the more warped footage, compared to an action camera. I feel like you kinda always have to hold the X3 in one hand somehow. But I have to admit that the possibilities are almost endless with it.
Thanks! Yes, the footage tends to be a bit more warped due to the super wide angle lenses, but there are some lens presets that compensate pretty well for that. Mounting the camera is no problem, but keeping the lenses protected is definitely more of a concern compared to a traditional action camera. Still, like you said, the possibilities are endless!
@@JordanHetrick and what do you suggest for protecting the lenses? No one seems to like the sticky guards, so I ordered one of those snap on lens covers with tempered glass..it looks like a window shield...not sure how well it will work or distort the image clarity...I'm just concerned about protecting the lenses, they seem to easy to damage...just got mine last night so setting up now

Thank you for your wonderful videos on the X3. I ordered one a few days ago and am looking forward to working with it.
From watching your videos and those of others, I am now extremely wary of using the X3 as an "action" camera due to the risk of the lenses being scratched and the difficulty, or impossibility, of repairing them. I have also read that all of the protective lens caps that are available for X3 tend to distort the images at the stitching point. Do you have any suggestions for resolving this situation other than using the X3 with more caution than other action cameras, which is a bit of an oxymoron?

Great video! Super helpful. Very thorough, yet concise and “to the point”. Lots of info. The camera & app appear a little overwhelming, although user friendly. Will definitely have to resort back to this video several times…. Or perhaps the book!

I was NOT expecting the X3 to have a removable battery! That’s pretty cool, but i prefer GoPro due to their better durability.
