    I hope they tweak the software a little bit.... for now the star lapse looks to dotty and not as good as the starlapses we know from other cameras.

      I think it also depends on the frequency, how the images are taken. If you set shorter gaps between the photos, it can lead to smoother results… while unfortunately this parameter cannot be set with X4. (With the one RS series you could manually set the timing, too.)

    Great video. My biggest frustration when trying this out was that processing an overnight starlapse took my phone 5 hours! Very frustrating...

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  2 месяца назад

      Unfortunately the processing can be very CPU intensive on phones, and the time depends on the capabilities of the phone. I’m using an iphone which can make it within a minute, but I can belive that it’s way slower with other phones. 🙁

      I’m using an iPhone 13 Pro Max - one would hope it would be quick enough. I’ll try using the PC app next time and see how that works (assuming we get a clear night any time toon!)

    hi thanks for this video. is there a time limitation for recording a starlapse? i set the X4 to 5 sec and inlimited and around 3 hours later the recording stoped (camera powered by a power bank)

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  3 дня назад +1

      It sounds strange because the camera should record until the SD card is full or both the camera battery and the power bank are drained. In my case, I leave the camera recording overnight, for at least 6-7 hours, and it always stops recording only when I manually press the record button.
      In your situation, it might be that your power bank stops charging and turns off when the camera battery is fully charged, and then doesn't turn back on automatically. I suggest doing a test indoors, leaving the camera shooting in starlapse mode overnight while plugged into a power socket. This way, you can pinpoint the issue.

    Hello! I hope you are well. I have a question regarding live streaming 360° video using Insta360 X3 or X4.
    Is it possible to live stream from one of these cameras, and that the receivers watch the streaming in an Oculus Quest 2 set, with them having the possibility of move their heads and get different views of the 360° video happening live?

    What is your tripod? As their original bullet time 2v1 tripod the legs are too small to make it stable without falling down. Can you recommend us a good tripod with large legs like the one which you use?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  Месяц назад

      Yes, unfortunately the Bullet Time tripod has other purposes.
      Usually I use the Insta360 "All-Purpose Tripod" which has extendable legs, and stable enough for outdoor shooting.
      (You can find it among Insta360 accessories: store.insta360.com/accessory?INRNJ2T)
      Another option (which you can see in me video) is the Best360 Pro Aluminium Adjustable Tripod Legs with 500g Stainless Steel Monopod Counterweight. You can find them at: best360.shop/

    Is it only possible using the app on your smartphone ? Or is it possible to edit it on your pc or mac using the studio 360 ?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  3 дня назад +1

      After shooting, you'll find all the separate photos on your SD card, which you can merge on your computer (mostly in PremierePro).
      Unfortunately, only the mobile app creates startrails that look like this, but I hope this option will be added to the desktop app soon.

      Thanks for your quick answer. I used the 360 photos on my pc and I reframed them using the 360 studio then exported them as jpeg. With jpeg files I can do whatever I want : time-lapse, or circular starstrail (circumpolar) as I do for photos from my DSLR.
      My final image is much better than the circumpolar generated the app, only visible on a tiny portion of the image.

    Gaba_VR, I did the Star lapse last night and I have over 1000 photos on my X4 but the photos are not showing on my app. Can you guide me how to merge and process these 1000+ Star lapse photos to my app? Thank you!

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  2 месяца назад +2

      Basically, if you shoot in Starlapse mode, the Insta360 App will sign it for you with a special icon, and you will only see one Starlapse instead of the 1000 photos in the app.
      Of course, you will find all the unmerged photos on your SD card and edit them on computer, too, if you'd like so.

      Thank you for the feedback. Actually, I've been working on a solution for quite some time now. Until now, all I could do is upload manually created subtitles for better understanding. The solution I'm looking for is an AI-based tool that changes vocals with the right accent. So far, I've only found tons of text-to-speech apps and some voice cloning apps, but these aren't exactly what I'm looking for. If you have any tips for a good speech-to-speech solution, please let me know! 😉
