- 100 degree heat, rugged terrain, and a group of friends and fellow RUclipsrs all combine for a bit of "trail madness". Hiking in to a remote mountain lake for a multi-day backpacking trip in the heart of the Idaho wilderness proves to be a hardship for some, a source of humor for others, and an adventure for all.

"Alright, let's go find that bear!" LOL, I don't know how that fight would go, but it could be impressive to watch. I completely agree about feeling lucky to get out and enjoy the outdoors. It's truly a blessing and I'd be lost without that solitude once in a while. Looks like a fun group to hit the trails with. :) - Chris
Well put together intro. I agree with what you said "The work is worth the reward". Getting a chance to see something beautiful in nature that many others may only see a picture is my reward for hiking a strenuous trail. I'm looking forward to part two, very entertaining so far.

"fortunate to be able to do this" yeah buddy I know exactly what you mean. Even when I push myself hard I think "how great it is to have this moment". Life goes by too fast. The challenges in life are when I truly feel alive.
100% agreed my friend. Seems like the harder the challenges are the more meaningful and lasting the memories :)

Nice! Looked like a great hike in bro! Totally awesome of that guy helping out and carrying that guys pack! Some of those packs looked heavy you might show them some of your ultra light vids...lol! I hope we get to join you guys some time!
Was definitely an awesome hike in man! Was hard to leave out alot of the footage lol. I honestly don't know how Lee carried both of those packs the remaining 2-3 miles (all uphill!)... they had to easily weigh over 120 pounds combined! That woulda killed me, haha. I agree btw... we REALLY have to get together for a trip Bro!

We do have to conquer elevation in our neck of the woods. Seems a little much at the time, but the reward is always worth it. If you ever want to come over and do Section J of the PCT let me know. Or for that fact any of the hills over here. Take care, Bruce

Thanks. Yeah, it was a bummer that Kado couldn't make the trip, but had to make the tough call to leave him home due to the heat. He's been on quite a few since though :)
