  • "Quick Trick" (Episode 10) How to make your own DIY single-serve coffee packets. There's nothing quite like a good, hot cup of your favorite coffee... especially when it's enjoyed in the great outdoors. Unfortunately, when backpacking, hiking, or even minimalist camping, the choices are generally limited to a few varieties of instant... which can often leave something to be desired. Well, here's a cheap and easy way to bring along your own personal favorite coffee with you on your next outdoor adventure.

Been doing this for years, never occurred to me to do a video on it, duh! I add a straw of powdered creamer and a straw of sugar to my food pack (one end sealed, the other folded over & secured with a ring of excess straw so it can be opened). They're good for about 3 cups.
    Nice job John!

John. Folgers sells tea bag type coffee bags both in regular and decaff. I have been using them for some time now. Your way is probably cheaper per cup though.

Has anyone tried using one of those tea dipper contraptions for coffee before? The best part about this one is that you could keep the filter afterwards, dry it out, and then use it as a fire starter, I bet!
