    Hey! I cannot express enough just how fun it is to create ‘all’ of these items, and on a regular basis, too! Since my kids and I became a plant-based family back in 2017, cooking and eating has become such an adventure! Our lives are more fulfilling- the pleasure is real!
    My son introduced me to your channel! Thank you for your tips, recipes and ideas. I, we, appreciate you!💚

    Hi there. So glad to find your channel. I recently joined the team a few weeks ago. I would’ve long ago but my wife had no desire but I had an incident where I thought I was trapping a rat in my garage and it turned out to be a baby possum. I felt terrible. Made me think. So I just did it. I’ve gone without meat a few years ago with no problem but I feel like dairy has been the main culprit as I age. I want to get rid of my acid reflux, get my heart healthier and get my six pack back. I’m 50 and I only see 2!! I really needed some dessert idea. Love your channel and will order your book this weekend.

    I made homemade vegan butter FOREVER ago, like very early vegan days, but I've gotten so lazy. I'm so excited to try this one!! Adding yogurt sounds very interesting, that little bit of tang!

    I like to use silken tofu to make sour cream sometimes for it to be more similar to Mexican sour cream. It's amazing all the things you can make with tofu when making dairy substitutes.

    I used to make my own vegan butter, but darned if I can remember where I got the recipe, so I'm glad you posted this one. I'm glad you posted all these recipes, actually, because I go to WhoFoo and look at the vegan cheeses and other stuffs, and just go, "meh." So many vegan things can be made at home with common pantry and fridge ingredients, as you demo here and in the last homemade dairy video. Why buy? Thanks for posting 🙂

    First and foremost THE EYES 😍
    Anyway 😅
    I love this video because I used to make everything myself before vegan alternatives became popular in the 90s, but since have been buying more and more ready-made products which I feel is needlessly contributing to my ecological footprint.
    Making your own products can be very therapeutic and rewarding as well as more accessible to people who live in places where there are less alternative products.
    Please make more videos like this 😃

    Many thanks for sharing these amazing recipes! Before I became vegan, ten years ago, I ate goat cheese. Do you have a recipe that has the tang & texture of soft goat cheese? I served it with a drizzle of olive oil, fresh lemon juice, Herbes de Provence & sea salt. I would love to have a plant based substitute for that. Just found your channel today and can't wait to watch your other videos.

      Happy to have you here! I don’t have a recipe for that at the moment I’m sorry! But I’m sure I will be putting out more vegan cheeses soon!

    I've read you can sub canned white (cannelini) beans (drained & rinsed) for soaked cashews in most plant based recipies, but I think in something like this you couldn't/shouldn't bc I'm guessing the oil released by the cashews factors in to the texture of the butter.

      Yes for certain things like dressings and sauces it does work totally fine! i didnt test that with this so im not sure how it will work here so i wouldn’t recommend doing that!

    Fantastic video beautiful Francesca and it is great that vegan alternatives to dairy are available. We have alternatives to cheese, cream, ice-cream and butter and even mayonnaise in the UK (even though I perfer home made vegan mayonnaise). Love 🥰 the video and sending love ❤ from Scotland to Francesca.

    FWIW, soaking cashews for more than 6 hours once caused them to ferment and resulted in a sour tasting cream, but that was in South India during peak temperatures in summer. Depending on where you are located, you may want to closely monitor for putrid smell if you are soaking cashews for more than a couple of hours.

    Silly question, but wouldn't silken tofu work instead of softening extra firm? Same taste but "runnier"?

    • @PlantifullyBased
      @PlantifullyBased  9 дней назад +1

      For the vegan sour cream? I personally like a thicker vegan sour cream the silken tofu won’t do that. Of course if you like a more creamy and yogurt like texture the silken tofu may work better.

    Is it possible to use something to make butter other than coconut oil since it is very high in saturated fat?

    • @PlantifullyBased
      @PlantifullyBased  8 месяцев назад

      The coconut oil is what makes it form into being solidified. Also, to put it into perspective for every tablespoon of this vegan butter there is about 2g of coconut oil which is less than teaspoon.
